I have very thick type 4 hair, so if your hair is similar, I would strongly advise against going here. I've been natural for most of my life, and now I might have to cut my hair if my curls don't bounce back. This was my first time visiting a Dominican hair spa, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I didn't realize at the time just how much heat was being used on my hair -- but now I know. Because my hair is thick, they used a lot of heat, and I'm really disappointed that I might have to start my natural hair journey all over again. If you can, stay far away. -also I have gotten my hair straightened before and my curls went back. This has never happened to me.

This lady is beyond arrogant -- she is rude, offensive, and short-tempered, and made me feel abused! I left a voicemail asking to schedule an appointment for my mother-in-law and when she called me back, she immediately assumed we were "browsers" and basically said she wouldn't book an appointment unless we were committing to buy a wig over the phone, before coming in, sight unseen. This was the first wig shop I called, and our experience was a negative one. I gather if you aren't a current cancer victim in desperate need of hair today, she doesn't want your business. Even if I had cancer, I wouldn't want to put myself in this woman's hands. So we will go elsewhere. I've never had a vendor call me and treat me that way. There are at least 2 other local shops and we already scheduled an appointment for today with a friendly, receptive shop.

The stylist gave her realistic expectations and provided a nice cut. It certainly was not ever going to look like my hair, but I think she did a nice job adding long layers and cutting off the damaged ends. The stylist listened, gave an honest assessment of what to expect, and provided a nice haircut. It's a cute, clean salon. I wanted a mani while she got a haircut, but the mani person wasn't there that day. I found that a lot when trying to find a salon to do both services.
