The place was still very clean, sanitary and they offer great quality jewelry. Unfortunately, the women working weren't as friendly and personable this time. One of the women were very personable and friendly with a child that was getting pierced, but not as much with the adult clients. I even noticed some not so great comments being made about a potential customer that had called in with questions. It just seems like the customer service aspect could use some improvements. Said there was a 24 hr "sanitation" period and that we could either reschedule (for the next day after we were already there) and wait the 24 hrs or buy new jewelry. She then said she'd "waive" a $25 processing fee that we were supposed to pay to reuse jewelry. Meanwhile, no one of this information is provided on their website as true. She was trying to scam us. We came back less than 24 hrs later after rescheduling, and they sanitized the jewelry then, even though she insisted they had to keep it to autoclave it for 24 hrs prior to piercing. It was a total scam. I will never return to MOLA again. She should be trained in how to treat customers. The girl that did the piercing was great and very sweet. This was the downtown Charleston location

Don't come here! I got my dimples pierced here a while ago and when I got them, the right one…read moreimmediately upon getting pierced, swelled to the size of a golf ball. Less than a week later I was napping on my couch and woke up choking on my own blood because the right dimple started gushing blood from both the entrance and exit wounds. Over the course of a week after the first instance of this, it proceeded to happen two more times after which I took them both out and talked to a medical professional about what happened and they told me it was because I was pierced through my artery. On its own that is already bad and can cause major problems in the long run but the fact I took it out without the guidance of a medical professional could have given me an infection and actually killed me. I was extremely ill informed on this piercing and it's healing process and was given no other advice than to go back to the shop a week later if the severe swelling I had that appeared during the piercing process persisted. They were extremely unwelcoming and provided a very uncomfortable environment. I was extremely lucky in my case and only ended up with minor scaring in the end but this could have very easily been so much worse and legitimately life threatening.

I was also taking extra care with cleaning it 3 times a day. I am now going to have to pay vast amounts of money for surgery because it is considered cosmetic. so insurance will not cover it.
