Awful. My first experience here and 100% the last. I don't normally write reviews unless my experience has been really good or really bad - this was worse than bad. I had went in two days before I was going on holiday to get semi-permanent eyelash extensions put in. It was the natural set as the guy (manager) had recommended them and said they'd be best for what I was looking for. He was friendly and chatty when I went in so I trusted his opinion and went ahead with it. He had also told me, I quote, "they will last 6 to 8 weeks if you look after them" - mine didn't last more than 24 hours. So as soon as I lay down to get them done, the woman doing them dropped the whole table set and everything on it while hurting her finger in the process. After waiting till her finger was okay, she then took around 10 minutes trying to stick my bottom lashes down because she couldn't do it. Once they were done, there was no difference. She said she put 60 lashes in one eye and honestly it looked like 3 were in. I met my friend after having them done and she asked why my lashes were stuck together and looked separate. That night around 15 lashes came out of the right eye and a few from the other. By morning every single one from the right eye had come out. They are closed on a Sunday so there was nothing I could do. I called them on Monday morning and told the woman what's happened. She apologised and asked if I wanted to come back in and she'll put them back in for me. I was leaving for the airport in an hour so obviously didn't have the time. I told her to let her manager know and I had pictures if he wants to see and that I'd come back in for a refund when I was back from holiday as I was so disappointed. So I went back in when I was back from holiday and the manager was so unbelievably rude. His attitude had completely changed from the first time I was in. I showed him the pictures I had taken and all he kept asking is why I didn't take a picture of my eyes :/ I explained that taking a picture of my eyes wouldn't have shown anything, you can't see properly from a picture. I had also explained that his employee had not asked me to take a picture of my eyes after I explained it to her either. He went on to say, and I quote again, "she is the most experienced staff I have, she does eyelashes all the time" yet she spent 10 minutes trying to stick my bottom lashes down on one eye.. He was incredibly rude, wouldn't let me speak at all and couldn't admit that it was their fault, even after providing evidence. He then took the money out the till (£30) and slammed it on the desk and said "there". My friend that was with me and I were disgusted not only at his attitude but at his awful customer service as well. I have never had such a bad experience in my life and will for sure never be back at this terribly unprofessional shop. read more

I don't frequent beauty places very often (which you would realise if you knew me!) but this one is just around the corner from my house and when I'm feeling particularly girly, this is where I go. The staff are really great and the guy who runs the place is lovely, really chatty - I've even heard him recommending local restaurants to people when they've been in before a night out. I nipped in after work tonight (Monday) just to see if I could get my eyebrows done any evening this week and I figured I'd be out of luck as it's Xmas party season. They fitted me in right away as they had space between appointments and it only cost £7.50. I've had my nails done here before and they always do a really good job, even if they're always slightly disappointed that I don't let them do anything really wacky to my nails. I haven't really got anywhere else to compare this to, but I think they're great. read more

After being a loyal customer for around 2 years I started getting treatment regularly every few weeks over the last 5 months as the atmosphere was relaxing and welcoming, the manager who I'm Sure is the only man that works in the salon was always very nice and attentive. However last week I had forgotten I had an appointment for a wax as I had been working day shifts and nightshifts at work over the last few days and had totally lost track of what day it was and time, I had hardly any sleep and my appointment had totally slipped my mind. At the time of my appointment, the manager ( the man) calls me to ask why I hadn't arrived, I was very apologetic and had explained the circumstances as to how I had forgotten about it and asked to reschedule. He then started shouting at me down the phone and basically saying that I was lying about receiving a confirmation email or text the day before, which I hadn't received. He then said that their business has had over 3000 no shows and it's costing them a fortune. At this point I was still apologising and quite shaken as I'm not a confrontational person and said that I understand but as a loyal customer of over 2 years and this is the first time missing an appointment could I please reschedule, I made another appointment and hung up. After the phone call I so angry and worked up about the way I was spoken to and how rude he was that I called again and he answered with ' hello darling what can I do for you?' As if he hadn't just spoke to me the way he had 20 mins before and in such a patronising way. I then said I would like to cancel my new appointment and because of the rude and cheeky way he spoke to me that I wouldn't be returning to the salon, he said that was fine and hung up. This is all because of one person that I won't be returning which is very sad because all the beauticians where absolutely lovely and because of their manager they have now lost a customer as I would feel very uncomfortable returning with him being there. I wasn't going to write a review but after reading a couple of bad reviews about the same manager I feel I should have my say as it was weighing on my mind. read more
