I'd highly recommend Madison to any friend & be so happy to work with her again, for both hair & makeup. Two main reasons: First, she listened to what I wanted & completely delivered. I'm a girl whose never had my makeup done professionally before and I spend only about 5 minutes daily on my own makeup. I wanted it to look natural and still like me, just elevated for this big day. We worked through the look in the trial and I felt completely confident that she'd nail it again on the day (then she did). I think it's probably the most beautiful that I've ever felt, and I felt so comfortable in the products she used. On my hair, I shared a handful of pinterest looks that I liked and my specific hair conditions (it's naturally very straight & doesn't hold a curl well, and I wanted a half up/half down with gentle beach wave). During the trial, I loved the look, but it didn't hold super well. It was the perfect learning to make some tweaks for wedding day, and it perfectly held. Second, I simply enjoyed having Madison around on my wedding day. I had my wedding in August2020, so there were 25 guests total, but in my getting-ready time, just my mom, 2 aunts, & one girlfriend were there. I was expecting that to feel a little lonely, but I wasn't expecting how much my nerves would sneak up on me the final two hours before the ceremony. Madison put me at ease, was a cool & friendly additional, and felt like an extra girlfriend to have there. Additionally, her communication throughout the process just made the whole thing very easy. read more

I booked an engagement shoot makeup and hair with Madison when me and my fiancé went to Felton for our engagement shoot in Henry Cowell State Park in the redwood trees. It was the first time I've ever gotten my hair and makeup done professionally, and I could not have asked for a better artist! She really listened to me, especially since I wanted to look myself because I told her that I rarely ever wear make up, so she did the perfect subtle look for me! She is very warm and easy to talk to as well! Couldn't recommend her more! I've attached one of my photos from the engagement shoot! read more

As a biracial female I am always worried about matching my skin tone to makeup, I have had some bad experiences before that have left me in tears and had me looking like a ghost on film. Madison listened to my worries and made sure that I was comfortable with the color of the foundation and made sure my makeup wasn't to heavy and that I still looked like myself! She also did my hair, which got a little frizzy by the end of the night, but I have naturally curly curly hair and I got married by the water, so a little beach frizz never hurt! Oh and she's super duper sweet! read more

I could not recommend Madison more highly! I hired her for my wedding (and rehearsal dinner) and she was absolutely incredible. She understood exactly what I was asking for - even though I know nothing about make-up! - and was really collaborative and happy to adjust based on my feedback. I ended up feeling beautiful and still completely like myself. One of my bridesmaids was sorry she'd already booked someone else for her wedding, because she loved Madison and her team so much! She is also a lovely person and so much fun to talk to, and my wedding party and I had a blast with her and her team!! I would hire her again in a heartbeat. read more

Madison is truly talented. She did my wedding for hair and makeup for me & my bridesmaids. We were all super happy with our looks and my makeup lasted all day and night! Beyond that, she is super sweet and so much fun to work with! definitely an important part of picking your HMU artist for your big day - you want someone who is fun and cheerful! I would definitely recommend her to anyone. read more

Madison did a wonderful job on my hair and makeup for my Big Sur wedding! We had a test session where she could get a feel for my hair and makeup preferences so everything would go smoothly on the big day. I was super nervous because I have monolids, but after the test session, I felt really relieved and excited. Plus she is just a really nice person who takes your concerns to heart and really listens/ takes notes so you don't have to worry on your wedding day. On the day of, we hit an unforeseen snag with my flower hairpiece. It was on a plastic comb instead of a metal one(so not bendy at all). I had wanted to wear it off to the side instead of the middle of my head and despite the unwieldy comb, Madison worked magic with hair pins so that my hair still looked exactly as I had hoped! This review is way overdue since Madison did such a fabulous job at my wedding last year! Madison was recommended to me by my wedding coordinator, and I did a style appointment (a one-time fee) with her in Santa Cruz. She made me feel really comfortable while doing my makeup and hair -- I'm a pretty nervous person at times -- and also really helped me get the clean, sleek look I wanted, so I ended up booking her for my big day. She came out for my two wedding ceremonies in wine country (one Chinese, one Western), did my makeup and hair for one event, and my makeup as well as 5 other people's makeups for the other event. She was very professional throughout the whole time despite the long drive it takes for her to get over to Sonoma County, and she really brought out the best in all of us, without make any of us unrecognizable. Here is one of my friend's remarks (paraphrased): "I never knew you could look so pretty while still looking just like you! You were so gorgeous I couldn't find my breath!" Cheesy, I know, but multiple people concurred with her. See, I'm a nerdy girl who only puts on light makeup normally, and I just wanted to look good on my wedding day without looking like a plastic Barbie doll. Judging by the comments and the pictures (and how pretty I felt that day), I think Madison did a fabulous job. Plus, she's a really adorable person with a kind personality. If you are looking for someone for a photo shoot, a wedding, or any kind of makeover, she's the makeup artist for it! read more

Madison is an incredible artist! She crafted my wedding look during a 3+ hour trial and perfectly recreated the entire look on my wedding day. She was easily one of the best vendors we hired for our wedding. She worked with me to create a day of schedule for myself and 6+ bridesmaids that was very organized, and was always quick to respond to my texts and emails. I loved all the makeup products she used and she really has an eye for detail! I HIGHLY recommend her!! read more

Where do I begin? I hired Madison to do my hair and make up for an elopement in Big Sur. From my initial email I knew she was the one. She is extremely responsive, patient, kind, and a talented artist. I could go on and on. I will be forever grateful that you were part of this important day in my life. You truly made me feel beautiful, comfortable, and myself. I can't thank you enough. read more

Madison is a wonderful make up artist. She made me feel natural since I don't really like smoky eyes or anything that's too much. She is very out going , and listens to any request you have in mind. I'm glad I chose her to do my hair also because she made my hair look just like I wanted. I always like the beach look hairstyle and she made it come true. I can be happier with her work. I highly recommend her to do your hair and make up. She does a fabulous job hands down. read more

Madison did such a beautiful job on my engagement, boudoir, and wedding day makeup & hair - I cannot even find the words to describe my happiness! From day one, she was sweet, professional, and on top of everything down to the last detail. The makeup and hair that she did for all 3 different days was natural, gorgeous, and stayed on all day long! The photographs came out better than I could have imagined. Madison also was tasked with doing wedding day makeup for my two bridesmaids AND the mother of the bride and she finished all of us with plenty of time to spare. I was so impressed with her skill and attention to detail - I HIGHLY recommend Madison to anyone looking to feel their most beautiful. I can also vouch for her skill at eyelash extensions! She put them on me 2 days before my wedding and they stayed on and in perfect shape for EIGHT weeks. They lasted through tears, sweat, and our adventurous 10 day honeymoon, staying perfect through snorkeling, zip-lining, hiking, and plenty of time in the ocean. I am so impressed with Madison and will definitely be coming back for eyelash fills and hair/makeup needs for a longggg time! read more

Madison is the best! As the maid of honor for my friends wedding I assisted with finding a hair and makeup professional. From coordinating the hair and makeup appointment to the finished product, Madison exceeded all expectations. She did hair and makeup for the bride and I and did a fabulous job. We were both aiming for a natural look and Madison was able to put us at ease by checking in on different hair and makeup ideas as she went to make sure it was what we had in mind. We were also worried about timing since the wedding was a brunch wedding but Madison was willing to arrive early and managed the timing perfectly. She was done with plenty of time for pictures and even stuck around to touch up my hair before the ceremony. We are very lucky to have found Madison and highly recommend her! read more

As a little girl, when I pictured myself getting married, I always imagined that I would feel beautiful. I thought the day I got married would be the day I looked my absolute best. Thanks so Madison, these dreams came true. I felt beautiful, confident and I felt like a bride. I got married a few weeks ago in Santa Cruz and hired Madison for makeup and it was a GREAT decision! She did my makeup, along with most of my bridesmaids, and everyone looked great. We also loved spending the morning at the hotel getting ready with Madison - she was so easy going and she made all of the girls look and feel their best. Thanks Madison! read more

We found Madison as one of the only people in our wedding area who would do airbrushing--she was we are so glad we found her as she was nothing short of amazing! Made me feel my most beautiful self with natural makeup that stayed on all night long and really accentuated everyone's natural beauty, doesn't look caked on or silly like some drama makeup can appear. Her personality is also wonderful--you spend your wedding morning with these vendors so it is so nice to have someone sweet and calm like Madison! read more

Madison did my hair and makeup for my wedding in Soquel, CA this past weekend and I could not be happier with the results! She made me look and feel beautiful while also making me look natural. We had a trial run three weeks ago which I highly recommend. It made for a very relaxing wedding day since both Madison and I knew exactly what I was looking for. I appreciated Madison's ability to truly listen to my requests/feedback, her kindness, and her relaxed demeanor. I strongly recommend using Madison for your wedding or special occasion! read more

I would absolutely recommend Madison to anyone looking for a makeup artist. She did my friends wedding, I was one of the bridesmaids and she did an awesome job. I told her that day I wanted her to do my wedding which was over a year later! She did an amazing job, my makeup looked perfect and lasted the entire day and night. Communication through the process was very easy and Madison is a sweet girl! read more

Madison did my hair for my recent wedding in Carmel, California. She also did hair for my three flower girls. All of us looked amazing and best of all, our hair all held up perfectly - even with the humidity. She gave us just what we wanted and all we had to do is show her photos. She was very sweet and personable, timely and reliable. I totally recommend her. I would have used her for makeup too, however, one of my guests was my usual makeup artist. read more

Recently Madison did makeup for myself and my mom for some family photos. She did an AMAZING JOB and was wonderful to work with! She gave us flawless and natural looks that I know will translate beautifully in our photos. We felt confident and beautiful the whole day, which was really important to us both, especially since we don't wear a lot of makeup on a daily basis. Our makeup lasted well into the evening... still looking as great as when she first finished. Thank you so much Madison for helping us look our best for our pictures!! I will gladly recommend you to others!! :-) read more

Madison did my makeup for both my wedding day and my engagement pictures. I got married in Carmel, though I now live on the East Coast, and she was so flexible about scheduling my trial on a tight schedule and before my engagement photos. I wanted a very natural look and Madison gave me exactly that, while also giving me just enough eye makeup to make it pop in photos. She took pictures of my trial and copied them to perfection on my wedding day. Madison wasn't happy until I was 100% satisfied with the way I looked on my wedding day and I absolutely loved the way my makeup looked! Better yet, it lasted all evening and I still felt great at the end of the night. I had a difficult time finding a make up artist who didn't charge a huge minimum for a weekend wedding during the summer. When I finally found Madison, she was a complete life saver and I couldn't have been happier with my choice! Though she was only doing my make-up and my mother-in-law's hair, she was so sweet with my bridesmaids and helped them out in any way possible. Madison made the entire process so easy--she was great to work with, funny, kind, and an all-around incredible makeup artist. I can't recommend her enough! read more

I am so happy that I chose Madison to do my bridal makeup! She did an incredible job and was very friendly, professional, and easy to work with. As someone who doesn't wear a ton of makeup on a daily basis, my main concern was still looking like myself. Madison did a fantastic job of making sure that I looked natural and like myself-but better! She was very attentive and made sure that everything was just to my liking. She also did my bridesmaids' makeup and they looked great as well! I would highly recommend Madison! read more

Madison was so wonderful to work with - I absolutely loved the way my hair/make-up for my wedding came out. I feel so lucky to have had Madison do my hair and makeup for my wedding! She's truly talented. Not only have I never felt prettier, but Madison was always super on top of things throughout the wedding planning process. Madison did my make up and some of my bridesmaids for my wedding. She is amazing. It was exactly what I wanted. We did a hair and make up trial before hand and she was really patient with my indecisiveness about my hair. She did such a nice job that even though only one of my bridesmaids had booked her ahead of time, once the others saw her work they all decided they wanted theirs done too. Thankfully she had planned to be there early and have plenty of time to spare and she ended up being able to fit them in. I'm still waiting on photos from the photographer but I'll be sure and add some when I get them. read more

Madison was our makeup artist for my wedding day for me (the bride), for my bridesmaids and for my mom. She was INCREDIBLE and I couldn't recommend her more highly. I absolutely loved that her makeup had a natural feel but still looked really special. Madison made everyone look like the best versions of themselves. She was able to do airbrush foundation for me which I would highly recommend because it looked more natural than liquid foundation and stayed intact all day and all night long (12+ hours). I also really enjoyed her demeanor. She was very professional and made everyone feel calm and comfortable. Madison was very patient and did any touch ups that were requested and was able to get us all out the door on time, even with an extra bridesmaid deciding she wanted makeup at the last minute. Her false eyelashes were great too because she gave the option to do full strips or pieces. She is worth every penny! Thanks so much Madison!! read more

I highly recommend Madison if you are searching for a makeup artist. She did my makeup absolutely perfectly for my wedding! I couldn't have been more pleased. She is SO talented, I received non-stop compliments from everyone. From our first communication to my wedding day, she was very professional and always responded in a timely manner to any questions and scheduling concerns I had. She is lovely and so warm and welcoming. I felt completely comfortable having her help me and my bridesmaids get ready. She knew exactly how to do flattering makeup for each of our faces and gave us flawless looks that photographed beautifully. I have recommended her to my girlfriends and co-workers who are engaged. I will be contacting her again anytime I need my makeup professionally done. read more

I had the pleasure of having Madison do my hair and make-up for my wedding this past Friday! We did the first hair and make-up trial back in March; it was great but the hair style wasn't the best fit so we scheduled another hair trial and that was great and what we used for the day! She was great about coming to the hotel we stayed at with her assistant who did my Maid of Honor, 2 bridesmaids and my mom, and did everything wonderfully! We all had a great time hanging out and the whole morning was relaxing. I was happy with how easy it is to work with Madison and she wants to make sure you really do enjoy your day! I would use her again and would recommend her to anyone getting married in the Santa Cruz/ Monterey area! read more

Madison is extremely talented!!! She was the makeup artist for my wedding and I was more than thrilled with how my makeup turned out. The look is always fresh and natural looking. Madison and her team were recommended to me by another make-up artist. They were so professional and their style was so fresh that my bridesmaids and I felt like royalty on my wedding day. Madison did my make-up and Melina did my hair. They did an amazing job and I'm still receiving compliments. They were also really versatile and deftly moved from styling us young women to styling some of the older women of our party. They were really fun and we all had a great time getting ready. Importantly, Madison was always very responsive over email (a huge deal because I was planning this wedding from overseas). I would recommend Madison and her team to anyone! read more

My daughter was married last weekend in Carmel Valley. Madison did the hair and make-up for the entire wedding party and for me. My daughter and I first met with her months ago and arranged a hair and make-up session for the bride prior to the wedding. She was so much fun and completely professional at the same time. She was flawless with her make-up application and spent time with my daughter's hair, fixing and re-fixing until it was just right. On the day of the wedding, she came with an equally professional assistant that worked with the bridesmaid's hair and my own. Their hair was stunning. They had multiple tiny braids and wore their hair half up and half down with gorgeous curls. Everyone commented on how unusual, fun and truly beautiful their styles were. Madison did all the make-up on each of us and worked alone on the brides hair style, the asked for "messy" bun. It was perfect. My daughter was very happy and she looked amazing. Madison is wonderful and such a pleasure to work with. She listens and gets it right. You would be silly not to hire this young woman. It was a great day from start to finish. read more
