I'd highly recommend Madison to any friend & be so happy to work with her again, for both hair & makeup. Two main reasons: First, she listened to what I wanted & completely delivered. I'm a girl whose never had my makeup done professionally before and I spend only about 5 minutes daily on my own makeup. I wanted it to look natural and still like me, just elevated for this big day. We worked through the look in the trial and I felt completely confident that she'd nail it again on the day (then she did). I think it's probably the most beautiful that I've ever felt, and I felt so comfortable in the products she used. On my hair, I shared a handful of pinterest looks that I liked and my specific hair conditions (it's naturally very straight & doesn't hold a curl well, and I wanted a half up/half down with gentle beach wave). During the trial, I loved the look, but it didn't hold super well. It was the perfect learning to make some tweaks for wedding day, and it perfectly held. Second, I simply enjoyed having Madison around on my wedding day. I had my wedding in August2020, so there were 25 guests total, but in my getting-ready time, just my mom, 2 aunts, & one girlfriend were there. I was expecting that to feel a little lonely, but I wasn't expecting how much my nerves would sneak up on me the final two hours before the ceremony. I booked an engagement shoot makeup and hair with Madison when me and my fiancé went to Felton for our engagement shoot in Henry Cowell State Park in the redwood trees. It was the first time I've ever gotten my hair and makeup done professionally, and I could not have asked for a better artist! Madison was recommended to me by my wedding coordinator, and I did a style appointment (a one-time fee) with her in Santa Cruz. She made me feel really comfortable while doing my makeup and hair -- I'm a pretty nervous person at times -- and also really helped me get the clean, sleek look I wanted, so I ended up booking her for my big day. She came out for my two wedding ceremonies in wine country (one Chinese, one Western), did my makeup and hair for one event, and my makeup as well as 5 other people's makeups for the other event. I got married in Carmel, though I now live on the East Coast, and she was so flexible about scheduling my trial on a tight schedule and before my engagement photos. She took pictures of my trial and copied them to perfection on my wedding day. My daughter was married last weekend in Carmel Valley. Madison did the hair and make-up for the entire wedding party and for me.
