I loved having a website that let me schedule online and have text to work through confirming appointments. The website to submit paperwork in advance was really nice as well. The front staff and dental team were great on both visits. Any dental visits are tough for me generally due to a lot of challenges but they worked through them (and with me being a newer patient) and made me feel like I had been there forever. The tech was good - got pictures, x-rays, etc. They dictated my gum placements via a headset and helped me learn more than I ever had anywhere else before. The dental work was good overall for what I had done. I'll be back and will keep posting updates as I get to a few more visits.

We (stupidly) decided on Aspen Dental for her routine cleaning/ checkup. She had always had perfect teeth, but one tooth was feeling a little sensitive and was being monitored by her dentist in Florida for a few years. We were shocked when Aspen Dental told her she had 8 teeth with surface decay and beginning stages of gingivitis! She would need special cleanings and would need 8 fillings!!! We had no reason to question them. It was a summer of pain and misery for her. The first dentist was young. He messed up every single filling! They all had to be redone by a more experienced dentist. The staff was incredibly unprofessional, gossiping about each other while working on her, and continually downplaying her pain. One tooth with "surface decay" ended up, with the pathetic excuse for a dentist, hollowing out that tooth, and leaving it that way. We had to go back, multiple times, and have a more experienced dentist redo all of her fillings- )She used to like going to the dentist until her traumatic experiences in the Aspen Dental West Knoxville location. Today, she finally worked up the courage to see a dentist in Cleveland Ohio. Her fillings on the two teeth have never been right. When she would floss, the floss would break, because the fillings were so rough between those two teeth. Her new hygienist, in Cleveland Ohio, was surprised at the poor work on the fillings. Now, she needs a root canal on the teeth that, supposedly, had "surface decay." I'm about to say something that sounds crazy. Prior to this, she never had a single cavity. When she went to Aspen Dental, she only had one tooth that had discomfort, and may have had a cavity. We were shocked when Aspen dental told us she had 8 cavities. We, now, strongly suspect they lied. We believe they drilled into healthy teeth for money. We believe Aspen Dental lied about the amount of work she needed done and drilled healthy teeth. Something is very wrong about them. We are so upset and angry. This has caused daily misery for my daughter. She walked in with one sensitive tooth, and now her teeth are permanently impacted. So 6 months after my initial visit I've had nothing done which has now led to the tooth that needed mild work has now escalated but I have to get the prior authorizations removed let another dentist do an evaluation and start the process all over . First off, the reviews about the office not answering or returning call is 100% accurate. I called for over 3 weeks to make my first appointment, left messages & called at all different times of the day. I didn't get a return call until I posted a question on google asking if this dentistry is even still in business. I haven't been to the dentist in years & explained that to them. Would you believe that I got ridiculed & talked about during my entire visit because of this? To their surprise, my teeth were in great condition for not having been to a dentist in years & that then became the discussion of the office. I went ahead scheduling a follow up appointment for 6 months later despite the unsanitary conditions (dog hair everywhere, dogs have free-rein including the chair where they visited me several times during my procedure) cause this is one of the very few dentists in a 75 mile radius that accepted my insurance & new patients. 6 months later, on the day before my appointment, the office calls me to cancel my appointment because the dentist won't be in. I understand, things happen. So I asked during that call for her to reschedule me & the soonest she could get me in would be 3 weeks later. I verified repeatedly with her the time & date while on the phone & entering it in my calendar. Confirmed. Show up today for my rescheduled appointment & I'm informed that "I called them to cancel my appointment" WTF! A complete lie & no offer to even try to reschedule or fit me in after I informed them of having to get a babysitter & drive an hour each way. Nothing!!! They don't care about your time, missed work, waste of gas, etc. Then again, most places don't anymore. I hope that this saves other people stress & frustration in the future.

She did a great job of talking me out of my nerves and has done every single one of my tattoos since. She takes pride in her work and cares about her clients and has the patience of Job I swear. Steev and Mal always speak to me when I come in and none of them have ever been anything but kind, caring, and helpful.
