Hospital was clean, the receptionist was friendly and welcoming. They let us in after completing the COVID questionnaire and our temperature was taken. All covid safe practices enforced. I called up to fix an appointment, most of the staff responsible for taking information through phone was not attentive. They kept asking the same details again and again. Though they accept patients based on the appointment, there is still little wait time before they take you in. The staff in the hospital were professional. The technician was warm and efficient. Waiting area was well maintained. The facility was not crowded and everything went smooth. read more

BEYOND EXPENSIVE. $11,000 of a bill; for too many test and never find the results. Or what's really wrong. 2nd guess.

I have been disputing a bill for months (went through the insurance appeal process and insurance denied it, so hospital is trying to charge us the full amount, when we all know the insurance would only paid them about $280). We called and called. People said that "that wasn't anyone's job and no one could do that." We finally reached someone who said they would submit it for an internal appeals process. They never called back. I finally submitted a complaint on the web site, and someone called back who was actually helpful and followed up. Unfortunately, the people she called told her they "don't adjust bills when insurance denies them" but ALSO that they DO offer discounts and they "don't know why a discount was not offered to me when I called about paying and they will retrain staff on that." But they are still not offering ME a discount. They also claimed there is NOT an internal appeals process. (Except they previously said there was.) The only options are people who work here are lying or are just incompetent, and I have no incentive to take myself or my family to any location in this hospital system ever again, when I can go somewhere else that might have a more fair billing policy and actually give me a discount next time my insurance refuses to pay (which I am certain they will). They have lost the business of a family of five people, plus every single person I will complain to about this both online and in person, because they didn't want to give me a discount of a few hundred dollars. Came here for a MRI appointment. This was the location that had the first available appointment and I drove 30 mins to get here. Since the appointment was in the late evening, we checked in at the ER and someone came to collect me. After registration, it was a short wait until a tech came. Tech staff were very nice, they listened, and were gentle when assisting patient get on the MRI table. Wouldn't mind coming out here for another MRI, but it's too far for other services. The building was clean. Still have to wear masks inside. read more

I am sitting in the ER with my 84 year old father who is having shortness of breath, dizziness and edema. We are starting hour 10 of waiting in the lobby. He hasn't seen a doc, nurse or PA. He has had his vital signs taken . The waiting area is small, shoddy and old. The only reason I even gave them 2 stars are that the staff are very nice. If you plan on arriving in anything besides an ambulance, consider going somewhere else. read more

Went to get blood drawn . Wanted to do left arm since I have a physical job and am right handed , the girl said it would be fine either way and the setup was for right so she drew from my right arm. Also promising me I'd be fine to use my arm and wouldn't hurt. It was the worst blood draw I've had in my life! She got the blood and then left the needle flopping around in my arm while she took care of the sample , meanwhile I'm saying "hey this still really hurts and is a pinching stabbing pain and getting worse ...are you done ?" I dont like to look but this all seemed wrong so I looked down and there the needle is still in my arm! she totally blew my vein I had a huge bruise even my doctor was concerned about and I could barely use my arm for over a week. A friendly, well apportioned and professionally maintained and operated hospital. It is great to have this facility in Wayne. They have a fully functional and hardworking emergency room. The staff is highly trained and responsive. There is a helipad outside and services to bring or send patients to care right away. The facility is kept up well. It is pleasantly designed. The entire facility presents a face of professionalism and capability which is reassuring to me. They offer a full line of vaccinations and shots for seasonal and lifelong ailments and against diseases, both childhood and adult. They have several programs reaching out into the community which is helpful and I personally appreciate. The presence of a Farmer's Market during Spring, Summer and Autumn is a great touch and allows community members and hospital staff access to reasonably priced fresh vegetables and fruit. read more

I come in there will a infection in my kidney and they said me home my mom was told to keep me on Ibuprofen and if I get sick to come back but I left in hospital with a 104 fever and my mom said about my fever and they told my mom that is will go down with the Ibuprofen and last then 2 hours I was back there with a 105 fever and they try to send me home but my mom said that she not living this hospital until someone told her want was wong with me. Son brought in he was here 9 hours no one ever contacted me,when he didnt arrive home from work and no response to his phone I had to call hospitals near his work to find him, no calls they said they were to busy to take a half min to call, page a Dr no response till 7 hours later to get pain med, or insulin that he needed badly. These people have become immune to people who have traumatic medical experience's. Harden to people suffering. Cold. Dismissive and no patience. Absolutely terrible experience tonight!!! Take my mother in the emergency room at 4pm she is a 87 year old with cancer the dr called said get to to a ER asap I take her there and they r packed !!!! I know it flu season and it's expected to be busy but we left at 8 pm after 4 hours of waiting and not one person had been called in from the line that we r all waiting in!!!! So I asked the desk about how long they think they tell us 4-8 more hours!!! For a emergency room visit that's insane ! Never go there there again u might die before get to see someone!!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Do NOT get care here. Incredibly rude, incredibly unprofessional staff. They show little to no compassion or empathy and have absolutely zero communicative skills. The ICU doctors collectively are absolutely ridiculous. Leaves you wondering how these people managed to pass through medical school. Beaumont should train their staff to have basic communicative skills and actually talk to family members to keep them informed. Where to start... My brother was in the ICU for a little over two weeks. At only 40 years old, they gave up on him too soon...after about a little over week of "care", they decided to make the decision that he was hopeless and they should go with the comfort care route. Without informing the family or getting our approval; they removed the feeding tube. They made ZERO effort to get him off the ventilator. Anytime we asked questions, it was SO difficult to get answers. Doctors were super rude and so hard to get a hold of. We told them we wanted the feeding tube back on, and they ignored our requests. Dr. Munir mocked us, stating my brother should've passed "weeks ago", and we should just accept it. What's the point of the hospital if they DO NOT provide care? Needless to say, do NOT come here unless you want your loved ones to pass on. Most of the ICU nursing staff was okay, but once the doctors decided to quit on my brother, they all started saying the same things...like they were instructed to give us incredibly vague answers. Lance Chandler with the ICU nursing staff really needs to be trained in communication. Repeatedly gave us false information, and wouldn't stop talking like he knew every single thing in the universe. Nice guy, but he should not be an ICU nurse. Dr. Rehman had absolutely zero communication skills and was the one to decide to remove the feeding tube without even informing the family. Dr. Yaqoob was the ONLY doctor who actually communicated with us and actually cared to provide treatment, she was wonderful. The old lady working at the front desk at the main entrance of the hospital is SUPER rude as well. The entire hospital is a joke. Do NOT come here. read more

The people working at registration intentionally make people wait. It shouldn't take so long to just add an order into the computer. I sat there for 20 minutes. One front desk person was sitting there on their cellphone and the other wasn't registering anyone. There were 2 people ahead of me and while I was sitting there, the waiting room got more people. No one was getting registered and the patients in the waiting area were just sitting there. Great the the employees have all day, but patients have lives too and don't want to wait all day. I left and decided to go to another lab where people actually do there job and in a timely manner. I mean it's just computer stuff, the front desk job is not complicated. read more

I'm not one for hospitals, seen too many loved ones pass away in hospitals. I can say the front desk receptionist was super friendly and even walked me to the room. Most of the nurses and staff were pretty friendly. The only thing I don't care for hospitals is that's it's always so cold. You better wear a heavy coat or layer up in your clothing. read more

I brought my elderly father-in-law after his doctor called to say his test results from the day prior were in and he needed to be admitted ASAP for internal bleeding. His primary doctor was doing sounds at this hospital so we were asked to bring him to this location. After 2 hours and 47 minutes of waiting, we were finally taken back. Other than the doctor who came back to greet us and get a sample from him, we have not seen anyone in the near hour we have been in the triage area. His doctor's office stressed to bring him and made it sound vital he be seen without wait, yet we have been treated poorly and ignored since our arrival. There was an older woman in the ER waiting room who was throwing up violently for over an hour, sobbing "Help me" and she was outright ignored. The ER waiting room is tiny. There was one confirmed case of the flu in one patient waiting. My elderly father-in-law cannot get the vaccination so I asked if he can be moved somewhere else. They suggested he wear a mask, which he was already wearing. The place is a mess. Literally a mess. Trash everywhere, pink buckets with vomit in them left on chairs, used masks and tissues all over the place and an entirely apathetic staff. I received more assistance from the valet worker who got us a wheelchair than I did from the staff! In fact, after a woman in a wheelchair was struggling to get to the restroom and was ignored when she asked for help, I ended up wheeling her back myself. This place is horrible. We aren't even done in triage and I'm debating just taking him to Dearborn Oakwood campus hospital despite having to start the process all over again. read more

I'm pretty sure this hospital killed my father. I'm pretty sure had he been taken to U of M or Providence, he would still be here today. He was very heavily mistreated by his nurse (his name I won't reveal) and they kept him strapped down in his bed with pneumonia for THIRTY FOUR DAYS before his death when he should have been made to get up and walk around. They kept him heavily sedated, threatened him, etc., told us they were too busy to deal with him. Again, he was in the hospital for THIRTY FOUR DAYS before his - are you telling me you couldn't have improved his condition in 34 days?!? TERRIBLE. read more

This hospital took me in and treated me extremely fast and with much care, I had a major heart attack last year died in my chair son found me died agine in ambulance when hubby got to hospital following us my surgery was done, last month after being a U of M patient for 10 years they couldn't take 5minutes to speak to me in severe pain threw up 3 solid weeks my U of M Dr has 19 Dr's in her office no time for me but Beaumont took me straight in I had a kidney stone the size of 3 stacked nickles they I'm put me on meds to stop pain and throwing up scheduled surgery next day my cardiology Dr, my urologist and new MD came daily I had sepsis also ,the nurses were great always very sweet n caring. I'm so done with teaching hospitals like U of M. I'm very happy now. read more

(Reviewing on surgery center) OMG... I love this place and the staff. For my very first surgery - i can tell you it went perfectly well; i can't say too much about my dad waiting. They understood i was very nervous and continuously checked up on me (i don't care if that's part of the procedure i enjoyed it) - not many channels to watch while you are getting prep for surgery but it didn't bother me none. I was greeted by a ton of people which had smiles on their faces and also ensured that everything would go fine. After surgery was completed - i woke up and was given juices; also i was helped to get my clothes back on to be discharged. You are also able to get your meds filled there as well as an option - if you have troubles with your script, then make sure to call the number provided when discharged and they are able to make adjustments. **24hrs they will call and check up on you to see how you are doing** read more

I've had the most amazing experience here. Giving birth to my son naturally was a really hard and long process but my nurse Hailey was my biggest advocate on my medical team. She made sure to always let me have a say in what I wanted and never tried to force anything on me. I really wanted a natural birthing process as much as possible and she respected my wishes 100%. She was such a sweetheart and I will forever be great full to her. Elizabeth was also great and the lactation specialist was a huge help and had lost of information and tips for me. The hospital is clean and the staff is very respectful and nice. I'm so happy that my first time giving birth was here and that my medical team was so awesome. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I went in to get Induced . First of all , they " hooked me up " on pitocin. To realize that they never hooked me up. Second of all they didn't record my baby's weight correctly so now her birth certificate says otherwise . Third of all once I gave birth they didn't clean my room or anything I was basically staying in the same room I gave birth it . Then I had to take my baby back to get newborn screening test redone . They poked her feet 4 times . A new nurse came and asked " oh maybe I can do it but we're going to have to get a whole new test done" like no I left so mad !! This hospital should close. I've had 2 deaths from this hospital turning them away. My nephew went in complaining of chest pain and they did his blood pressure and it was high. With 12 beds vacant, ER after 5 hours did NOTHING. He left. He is bad off. I would recommend never going to this hospital for anything because obviously a chest pain person was turned aside for supposedly 5 patients being admitted (was their reason). This hospital has had a horrible reputation since it was Oakwood. Beaumont buying them out gave the hospital more resources. But they have retained the same pool of untalented doctors. The doctors don't seem to pay attention to details. I had my grand mother who was 94 at the time transferred out of that facility and over to Saint Joseph. They were recommending she have heart surgery. Turns out she had blood clots in her lungs. She would have died due to their oversight. Most recently my grandmother who is now 98 has been having dizzy spells, vomiting and passing out. She was admitted to the hospital for 9 days. They discovered that her blood pressure was to high. So the increased her Metroprolol by 50%. Added to new blood pressure meds. Hydralazine, and Clonidine. She was stable for less than a day and the doctor discharged her. The to new medications have a side affect of Dizziness and vomiting. So were right back where we started. Pure incompetence. read more

Dr. James Love, the rest of the medical ICU team and the ICU nurses provided my family comfort and exceptional care for my uncle up until his last breath this past Monday. My uncle was sent to this hospital multiple times this month because the nursing home staff (@ Advantage Living Center in Wayne, MI) is GREAT AT NEGLECTING THEIR PATIENTS. My uncle had quite the bladder infection, and became deadly septic but the ICU team made miraculous strides to help him with some success. Not even a day after being discharged from the hospital, he was back in the ER where he was in respiratory distress, went into cardiac arrest then passed peacefully in the ICU a day later. Firstly, DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES TO ADVANTAGE LIVING CENTER IN WAYNE. Secondly, rest assured that your family will receive quality care in the ICU at Beaumont Wayne. The hospice nurses were excellent as well. While I am so upset and disgusted by the lack of care at the nursing home, I am eternally grateful for the MICU team and am comforted by the fact that I know my uncle was truly cared for during his last days of life. read more

Then they called me back to draw blood And sat me back in the lobby with the blood thing hanging out my arm for hours I sat in the emergency lobby until I couldn't take it no more I finally went to the window and told them just take it out my arm so I can go about my life. I went in for my surgery that was not outpatient. As anyone, I was nervous and scared to stay in the hospital and I have to say I had the most comfortable stay and I was just floored by everyone there. From check in to my release I was so thankful for the nurses and not to mention Dr. Khraizat. My dr. checked on me everyday if not twice a day. I wish I knew all of my nurses names but I was on surgical floor 3 and every single one of them were amazing, just to name a few that I remember Robin, Amanda, Lydia and of course not to mention nurses aids....everyone was so very nice and took great care of me. I'm really thankful for the staff for making me feel comfortable and taking great care of me. Sorry for not knowing everyone's name but when you're there for 2.5 days theres a lot of people in and out. And, the food was pretty good for hospital food. Thank you beaumont Wayne for your amazing staff and Dr.Khraizat for being an amazing DR. My visitors also made many complaints to the care I was getting so THANK YOU AGAIN!!! read more

The worst hospital I've ever been to, and I've been to quite a few I've the last couple years. I came here for my ectopic pregnancy, I was in an indescribable amount of pain and couldn't do anything except cry. The nurse and surgeon I saw hated that immediately and kept telling me to be quiet. They had me in a room with a curtain for a door that was left open just enough for the man in the room next to me to watch them do my vaginal exam, I wasn't able to say anything at the time because the surgeon made them sedate me and I was going in and out of consciousness. She didn't have to sedate me at that moment, I had already said "you can examine whatever you want, but I'm in pain and I can't just stop crying because you told me to." Unfortunately she didn't care and said she wouldn't examine me until I was quiet. I ended up needing emergency surgery and before I left the hospital nobody explained to me how/if/when to clean my incisions, if I still had both tubes, or when I could go back to living life how I normally do. I had to google everything and hope for the best. Also, she had every opportunity to make the incisions at the same spot on each side and she did not. This was the most awful experience I've ever had at a hospital and their OBGYN office I went to after wasn't any better. Everybody I interacted with except for one of the guys that transported me from my room to X-ray was rude and unprofessional. Definitely don't recommend going here for anything. read more

Wow so impressed now that Oakwood has taken over the hospital n remodeled. We visited the ER today. Clearly this hospital has had a remodel since I was last there. The room was awesome newly remodeled. Our nurse was a real people person n cared about the patient. I would go back again if needed. I went to the cafeteria n it was clean the food fresh n hot. Chicken was delicious. The cashier was so nice n friendly my first trip to get dinner here. Went to gift shop after awesome little store with nice treasures. I got the a ballon. Sister went into this crap place a couple days ago for surgery - the care she received was horrible - after he surgery not one nurse came into check on her for hours - they were rude the whole 2 days she was in there - after her surgery a nurse held a mask over her face - right after my sister came out of anesthesia -BS!!! I had heard from the community upon taking my family member to Wayne Beaumont Hospital that this was the worst hospital to go to, but I had no choice because it was an emergency. But now after my experience it is CONFIRMED! this IS the worst and most UNPROFESSIONAL hospital I've ever encountered in my life. The receptionist hangs up the phone if you don't know how to spell the last name of a foreign name that has at-lest 10 letters in it, and I was returning a phone call from a doctor so she could give me the results for my family member's serious condition but she did NOT leave a return phone number. I called back and the receptionist continued to hang up the phone on me THREE TIMES!!!!! and just the day before I went to go see my family member they "lost " her saying "we can't find her" even though I gave them the bed number and name!!! come to find out they can't understand their own tracking system to find a patients. And after finally getting to my family member the nurse told me they are keeping her another 24hrs (without telling me the day before,-no wonder I could not find her at first because they moved her from her original room to take care of this medical emergency with out notifying the family) she admitted they gave her too much medication and it spiked her potassium levels up past (6)!!!!!
