I had a room in the part of the hospital that is being upgraded. It didn't even have a chair and I finally had to ask my doctor to get one in because of my back hurting so bad from laying down since I have hardware in it. What got to me was how uncaring some of the staff were, especially the night nurses. One even yelled at me and my roommate. I didn't even get a menu until the 2nd day when the really kind and professional nurse was on duty. I was told they didn't have heated blankets but he got me 2. I had to call multiple times just for a glass of ice until that day nurse. While they have a good selection of choices on the menu, when I was so nauseous, I had a hard time finding anything. I even had a gew meals ordered for me by the staff who didn't give me a menu. I excepted better.

Now I'm stressed and depressed from not only continuing my pregnancy but also not able to ever have children again. Have yet to receive proper care treatment plan from this experience. Future jobs are not honoring my diagnosis as a disability. Although I am a healthcare professional and a former employee. Now the doctors are saying I can't work in my profession and i believe I am being retaliated against. This was the best experience I ever had at a hospital; phsyc. One of my family members was admitted to Henry Ford West Bloomfield after an ER visit that…read moretriggered an admission. The experience was as seamless as possible for an ER visit. My family member was immediately seen and the diagnostic process was quickly started. The hospital my family member was at couldn't support the needs of my family so they were transferred. Mostly everyone I interacted with was empathic and really wanted to help. I have been at larger institutions like UCLA that wants to give you in and out as quickly as possible. The staff did a great job on involving experts to help identify the root cause.

I called this year and confirmed it was all set. It was not. Somehow I maxed out that benefit, years prior no problem. I would not have come for a treatment that wasn't covered, I called prior and yet still received a bill. I wasn't notified of the problem until after the treatment. Get written documentation the expensive treatments will be covered before you proceed. They are not helpful after.

The bathroom on the first floor was atrocious and the property manager should be absolutely ashamed of themselves. The walkways were barely cleaned or salted. I am completely appalled by the incompetence of whoever is the manager of this medical facility. He or she should be fired immediately.
