I wanted to like this place more than I did. it came highly recommended to me by multiple people to…read morebring my ring to be worked on here. I had never brought my ring in to have the prongs tightened in the 7 years i've had it, and I knew it had to be done. the owner, I don't remember his name, was kind of shy, quiet. looked it over and told me it had a lot of work to be done on it. He said it would take a couple weeks and here's my ticket number to keep. he gave me a slip of paper. That was it. weeks went by, and no word. finally, after a month, I called. a woman answered the phone and said that he had gotten covid and then was sick with something else and hadn't been able to work on jewelry in a while. why was I not informed of this? you've had my engagement ring over a month and I just don't hear from you? anyway, she said he would call me back. never did. another few days went by and I decided I was just going in. I was tired of waiting and I wanted my ring back even if it wasn't done. I walked in and he wasn't there but the girl was. she said it was "just done" and she was "going to call me today". gee, thanks. I still paid the quoted price. no discount whatsoever for waiting over a month to repair my ring. and the worst part is he reshaped it (it had a little kink in the band) which I didn't ask for, and now it's tighter than it was on me before. also, one of the diamond chips he replaced that had fallen out has a flaw- a black spot in it that I can't stop staring at. I'm not bringing it back in there to have it fixed again and waiting another month. i'm good. I won't be bringing my jewelry back here.

Ben, the owner & jeweler at The Goldsmith is fabulous. Very personable and professional. He…read morerecently resized my platinum wedding set the tiniest amount and soldered the wedding band to the engagement ring. The work was flawless and appropriately priced. Ben did it in just a day. His shop is located around the corner from Albertson's in Eagle. He also sells jewelry but he is not one of those pushy sales people. He listens to what you want, explains what he'll do and tells you the price. My rings looks beautiful and won't be turning or falling off. We're so happy we found him.

I have fallen in love with this store but I have to limit my visits because I always see something…read morenot in my budget that whispers to me "Take me home." Today I was shopping for a unique birthday gift for a friend. I finally settled on a colorful martini glass made in the Republic of Czechoslovakia, but the three red leather art-deco counter stools almost made it into my car. Service was so nice and the display designs imaginative. It was so much fun to browse and find hidden gems.

We came, we saw, we did not buy at this new locally owned resale store. There are a couple of…read morereasons why.. Firstly, the store was sparsely stocked. But mostly because the woman manning the store (yes, I did intend that to be a pun) didn't bother to ask if we were looking for anything or if she could help us. This in spite of the fact that there were only two other shoppers in the place, so not as if there was a crush. Given this is newly opened within the last several months, maybe they are still learning the customer care ropes. But they have a lot of competition in the area as resale stores go so one thinks they'd be interested in top notch help for both buyers and possible consigners. We were in for both reasons, actually. I'm shopping for accessories for particular home location. And I have a hand knotted, vegetable dyed, Pakistan originated, wool area rug that I'm hoping to consign. They did have some rolled rugs standing in the store, so it may be they would take mine. But since the person working there ignored us, only a cursory hello in response to my "hi" to her, I think I'll continue looking for both consignment and buying. Ending on a high note, the place is spotless and some of the accessory items look as if new. THIS N THAT: 1) PARKING: Private lot. 2) ACCESSIBILITY: Once you get in the door, the store is all on one floor with mostly ample clearances between items. But the parking lot here is another of many Boise area examples of parking that does not meet Federal ADA rules or Idaho Accessibility Building Code minimums. Neither for scope nor for design. However, that failure is the the strip mall owner's and not the store's. 3) NEIGHBOR: At the other end of the strip mall you'll find Model Home Furnishings which is recently under new ownership. You'll get a great welcome and helpful assistance from the women working there.
