I dealt with the Jacksonville office, but Airserv is in Springfield too…read more From Amanda at the front desk, to Jeremy in the office, to Jerod who came to our home to check it's odd design (and pleasantly chatting long after), to Jacee and Todd who did the on-site labor, all of my encounters with the AirServ employees was excellent. I find that amazing for a group of people at the surprisingly young age. From 1st phone call to completion of the job (air duct cleaning) was about two weeks. Service would likely have been much quicker, but I have a very odd and underground ducting system in my home. At my concrete slab floored home, we had to first find out how the duct work was laid out, and as I had suspected, was not of any traditional design. So Jered came to our home a second time, with a special camera to inspect the pathways to make sure their equipment would fit in the subterranean pipes. As it turns out, it did. Jerod then figured up an "all-in" price on the work at around $1,300, which was a couple hundred more than Jeremy @ Airserv originally quoted for a "typical" layout. Of course, mine was a bit weirder, and that, added to the extra day for Jered to come back, and inspect with the cam, took the finished price up a bit. The price for that amount of time might seem high, but I don't think it's unfair considering the odd nature of the work, the amount of debris (64 years worth!!) in the ducts, the road time, equipment, and experienced labor force. So we agreed, and I paid half down for the work, balance due on completion. The servicemen were there within a week to do the job. I followed Jacee and Todd around some to be sure the plan we agreed on was working. All went according to plan with no surprises. These two guys were super efficient with their time. The time it took to clean our in-ground ducts, and attic return duct, took the two men about 5 hours. The outcome of the job pleasantly surprised me. I thought there was going to be much more of an after-cleaning mess once we turned the furnace back on. I'd expected that we would have missed some areas, that would have loosened and stirred up debris, that would have blown throughout the house when the heat came back on. But that was not the case. For the next few days, dust in the house was noticeably less than usual before the work, and I am very pleased. They fumigated, "air-freshened" the ducts as well, and I expected the old familiar scent of the dirty ducts to come back, but in the last few days, the house still smells so much cleaner, fresher. As a welcome side effect, the heat seems to be circulating a tad bit better, as I notice curtains near the ducts blow in the breeze, where they didn't before. When it came time to pay the balance, Jacee DID offer a "program", a contract to do yearly maintain to the furnace and AC compressor, which I declined, at this time, but was not put off by the offer. Some might see this as an "up-sell", and not like it. But in this case it makes sense. Be aware that they do this. All in all, very happy with Airserv, from top to bottom. As a person who has been in the retail building materials business for 45 years, and used to prices of labor from carpenters, plumbers, electricians and such, feel that they are inline price-wise, and would recommend them highly. I rarely give a 5 star, as there is always room for improvement. But this company deserves way more than 1 star, so I gave them a 5 to average it out a little more broadly. I really liked, and would hire them again.
