Great great great!!!! My friend in the area has opened my eyes to this gem of a liquor store!! They have such a big variety of items, I am unsure you could leave without finding something!! I am a Hennessy drinker but this classy lady has been turning into a wine drinker the last few years!! I have cake across several in my journeys and one that has truly stuck is "Electra"!!! It's so hard for me to find!! Well this grand place carries it!! They not only have the wonderful red but they carry the white!! I am so excited that I can barley contain myself...you can ask the employees for proof!! How could I forget the ladies name that help me...ugh. She was amazing and I will update this when I go back so she can get the credit!! When I walked in the door she greeted me, them ask if I needed help. Yes I sure did and when I asked for the wine she knew exactly what I was talking about and walked me straight to it!! I even asked about the meads and she knew what is I was talking about!! They have reasonable prices, friendly service, a huge selection and a good location. For a liquor store, Beard's Hill really is as good as it gets. I was standing in an aisle, looking perplexed, when an associate came to my rescue. I told her what I was serving for Christmas dinner, and three minutes later I was on my way out the door with the perfect bottle of wine. It's always like that here. The best beer, wine and liquor store in Aberdeen. In fact, their new and much larger space struck me as almost too classy, but their pricing is competitive and they have a gargantuan selection to fit all budgets and tastes. A really beautiful store, with a clean, bright, sophisticated layout. The staff is knowledgeable but never intrusive. There if you need them and if you don't they don't bother your browsing. All prices are clearly posted. If you want cheap they got it. If you've a budget for rich and exotic wines & liquors (+ beers!), they got that too. It is fun to browse since there's a huge selection and it's all attractively displayed. The manager Mr. Hull is a consistent presence in the background. There if you need him, otherwise unobtrusive. Horrible customer service, was told I could not purchase my alcohol since someone without an ID was with me. I was told that since they assisted with holding the alcohol it couldn't be purchased, maybe they should look into getting carts so people with big purchases can hold their items without NEEDING assistance of others...If it's the law it is the law, but there's no need to be rude. I even suggested that I put my items back and have the person leave, so I can reselect my items without assistance and they still demanded for their ID. Helpful staff, some very knowledgeable. Management is excellent. Nice variety, but limited in some aspects. Would love to see more ratings of the products posted. The only drawback are the prices. Years ago, Beard's Hill Liquors used to be very competitive with Midway Liquors, but now they are much higher priced. In a pinch, I stop here for my needs. Otherwise, I travel down Route 40 to Midway, and get more product for less money. This is especially important, when purchasing high dollar liquors or champagne. read more

I am a loyal customer at Lidl from back to Europe!When they open in Aberdeen I was so happy,it was like my family are in town!I am shopping every Wednesday and ocas in Sundays!They always have a small problem with change the price,but they was always very good about and they give you the right price,if you pay attention to your recipes!But recently I remarked frozen food or refrigerated food they just hang on the islands ,is wired nobody will move faster to put them where should be!Anyway,i am going to pay my groceries and of corse like every Wednesday I am losing my time to check my recipes and again my they charge me full price for the bacon wha was supposed to be in sale!You will not believe,I was almost scare to let the cashier know!i told her my bacon ,she was mad,she call someone else she said she can't deal with rude people who always ask for something,she starts act very unpleasant and unprofessional ,I was just scared of her!!YOLANDA,darling ,you should not work with people!Well now I don't feel to go there anymore,i am just afraid! read more

Terrible customer service. During my second visit to this location I was told that I could not be served because of the orientation of my license. This was not an issue during my first visit when I was carded (with the manager present at the time of the transaction). When asked the reason, neither the clerk or the manager gave a response other than "I cannot serve you". Will not be shopping here again. read more

A pretty small place, with a limited selection and can be an ok place but they have terrible customer service lately. I bought a growler from them and came back with it to refill. They didnt wash it or ask me if it was clean, but just took it and filled it up. The place has problems managing their taps and often are low on any selection. If you like something, it's not the place to come back too to find it. Today I waited 20 minutes to my growler filled after waiting for a lady that couldnt make up her mind. When i checked out they wouldnt give me the refill discount because i didnt have my shopright card. The growler was already filled, so i was like thats fine give a empty growler to replace the one you used of mine. They argued with me and gave me a complete refund and kept my bottle! I was like i'm out of here and I'm not coming back. They didnt care about upsetting a customer. read more
