Instead of ringing up when unwell, making an appointment, having to wait a couple of days and getting better in the interim all the same, here you just come along and see a doctor when you need to - which seems pretty logical to me. The surgery is clean, tidy, and quite large. They've just installed a new automated call system, so when the doctors ready your name will come up on the screen and be called out in an (slightly robotic) automated voice, which is quite high tech. The doctors are consistently welcoming and will take their time to listen and deal with your ailment, which doesn't always happen at other surgeries I've been to. The reception staff are mostly friendly as well, though as the other reviews reiterate, it's a busy surgery so they might be a tad eager to get you sorted - there's an incredibly friendly American lady, though, who is constantly happy and always serves you with a smile. They operate a morning and afternoon open surgery, which means during the daytime you can see a doctor but that is reserved for emergencies only. The busiest days are usually Monday, and although at busy times you might have to wait a little while, the service is usually swift. I highly recommend this health centre.

The waiting room has not…read morechanged really, there are still plenty of seats that are comfortable enough, but they now have screens, as well as the announcements, to show when it is you turn to see the doctor, interspersed with medical adverts and health advice. Hopefully they'll get my suggestions and start showing DVDs. I have only ever attended the 'drop-in' surgery, which I feel is a bit of a Catch-22; you can always see the doctor on the day, but it can take up to 2 hours and you are not guaranteed to see the doctor each time, or you have to wait up to 2 weeks if you make an appointment! The drop-in surgery can mean you feel your appointment is a little rushed. However, on my last visit this was not the case, unfortunately I did have quite a long wait, I arrived at the surgery just after 8.30 but was not seen until after 9.15. The Doctor I did see, and this was just a general enquiry, ran through different options with me, gave me lots of advice and I felt like I had had my questions answered rather than like I was being a nuisance or wasting their time. There are some lovely doctors here and if you go early enough to the drop in timeslots you shouldn't have to wait too long. A reliable surgery, but remember to take a book with you to help pass the time! Unless you like magazines with pictures of Diana's wedding.

Having difficulty like so many, I went for an appointment where I was assessed, a diagnosis was given and a treatment plan was explained by Sally who was very thorough and knowledgeable. At no point was there any 'hard sell' to book in for treatment. My management plan was explained should I book back in for treatment and I felt totally looked after. I am booking back in as I was filled with confidence that the cause of my symptoms will be treated as opposed to just being given some possible prescription to over come the pain and discomfort I have. If you want an honest, professional and cared for appointment I can't recommend more highly Trowbridge Osteopaths and wellbeing centre.

The staff team is small which means you become familiar with all the members of staff. I really liked this, as it was not overwhelming like big wards. The ward is well equipped but any labours that are likely to be complicated or result in caesarean sections will not be possible at St Peters they just deal with natural births. There are a few rooms on the ward for new mums to stay with there babies after birth. I stayed in the hospital for 5 days after having my daughter as I caught a fever and was unwell. The ward is clean and tidy. There are actual separate rooms for the patients rather then cubical.

I woke up Sunday morning with a sharp sudden throbbing pain behind my left eye, and a couple of…read morehours later was in massive pain and my eyes were watering uncontrollably plus I was finding the light unbearable. The folks at Hilton reception suggested my brother take me to this specialist eye hospital, rather than the local A & E, and I am so grateful they made this suggestion cause I was treated immediately and with the best of care. My brother dropped me off front as he had to find parking and my thanks to the gentleman at the front counter who guided me towards assessment because at that time, I was just in such excruciating pain, I couldn't see anything from either of my eyes. Nurse Jane did my assessment and it was bad enough that I was skipped over the patients waiting in emergency, and taken in to see Nurse Anna a mere 10 mins later after my paperwork was submitted. My thanks and gratitude to both Nurses who were both so fantastic, and took such excellent care of me! After this triage, it was determined that I needed to see the Doctor and this took a while. Finally around 90 minutes later, got to see the Doctor, she diagnosed "Iritis" and I was prescribed a antibiotics plus steroids eye-drop course. Dr Khan was very through and fantastic about going thru my treatment for the next 5 weeks. After that, headed to the pharmacy (located in the main hospital building) and yeah while true total wait time was long, overall was very pleased with the quality of care and professionalism of all staff encountered. I'd done something very stupid: scraped off a bit of my cornea with a mascara brush. Stop laughing! We all make mistakes! So, after an initial trip to my optician, I was referred for an immediate appointment over here at the Eye Hospital. It was all very efficient and reassuring. I only had to wait a short time, because my optician had phoned ahead to alert them to the arrival of me and my poor old scratched-up cornea. There was a very thorough examination, done by a very friendly doctor, and soon I was armed with the necessary soothing eyedrops and on my way home. Before this experience, I had no idea there even was an eye hospital in Bristol; it's not something you'd think about until you need it personally. Now I know it's there, I'll have somewhere to go next time I'm a bit too cavalier with the mascara brush!

Emergencies are handled differently and the centre offers a number of other services like Chlamydia screening, travel advice, blood tests and the like. The doctors are of course incredibly concerned for your health, but sometimes this verges on preaching; I have never been here without being asked, and then subsequently told off for my drink and smoking habits. However, they are consistently effective, treating any problem you may have. I would stress again the importance of booking appointments early to avoid being turned away.

I used to come here when I was slightly younger, and was very impressed with the service they gave. For a start, the actual premises felt very far removed from the traditional sense of a 'hospital'. Rather than white washed walls and bright lighting, the theme is all low lit and warm browny colours, which immediately puts you at ease. The service was also very good - I think they only had a handful of doctors that would see outpatients, but the doctor I saw was massively friendly and made a great impression on me - he had a grandfather vibe about him, and would always take the time to listen, and explain situations very calmly, concisely and efficiently. It's an NHS hospital which is quite surprising for homeopathy, but if that's the route you need to take for treatment then make the most of it; this is a really excellent hospital.

I haven't even received treatment from here, instead making use of their beautiful herb garden in the summer. Even spending time here gives out the feeling of calm and healing, and you can visit for free. The great thing about this hospital is that it is part of the NHS and not private, so everyone can make use of what they have to offer. Definitely worth a try, even if you're sceptical.

I have recommended her to a number of friends and all have had excellent outcomes. Although I have not used the other services such as acupuncture, chiropody or Alexander Technique training, it is clear that Claire has put great care in building a team of caring experts in each discipline to maintain a consistently high standard. The clinic is warm, comfortable and friendly. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
