I developed a bubble in the sidewall of one of my tires, and the Vannoy's location on 9 Mile Road near I-10 was the closest shop. I called and spoke with Mindy, explained what I needed, and she quickly gave me several options. I chose a tire they had in stock and headed over. They replaced the tire, completed a vehicle inspection, and pointed out a few deficiencies--which is pretty standard these days. They provided a price for each repair, but there was no pressure or aggressive upselling. Fast-forward a few weeks: I needed tires mounted on my son's vehicle and the TPMS sensors transferred, and I decided to return to Vannoy's. I received the same great service from Mindy and watched her treat every customer with the same patience and professionalism. At one point, she took a call from what I assume was an unhappy customer regarding work completed under the shop's previous ownership--something neither Mindy nor the current team had been involved with. The way she handled the conversation deserves special recognition. She clearly explained the ownership change, made no promises or excuses, and still went above and beyond. She offered to contact former team members to see whether they remembered the work and promised to personally follow up with management to determine whether anything could be done. If you've read this far, it's probably no surprise that I recommend Vannoy's on 9 Mile Road at I-10--but even more so, I recommend asking for Mindy. She completely changed my perception of the business.

They proceeded to charge me $212.66 for reading a code which O'reilly did for free in about 5 minutes. Charged me $182.87 for labor, just for that. They want to charge me $500 for parts and $330 for labor to fix the car, a total over $1,000. I found the parts online for $150 and saw that it would take about two hours to fix according to multiple websites. I would have paid up to $500 for this fix but they wanted to charge double. Stay away unless you want to get ripped off.
