I recently had the good fortune to become acquainted with Matthew McLean of Shoreline Realty in…read moreDaytona Beach after observing his excellent service involving the sale of a neighbor's beachside Daytona Beach home. When I decided to put my own house on the market a few months ago, I remembered Shoreline Realty from the name on the side of Matthew's pick-up truck, looked him up, and reached out. We met at my home soon after to get acquainted, have Matthew get a look at the house, and voice our thoughts on appropriate updates/repairs, the asking price, for getting it on the market, etc. With Matthew's guidance and assistance in facilitating preparations, the house was listed on April 20th, had six showings, and had two solid offers within a week. In the interim, I've come to know Matthew as a high-energy person of integrity, with a wealth of local knowledge and resources who grew up in the area and is finely tuned to the local real estate markets. He's reliable, intelligent yet relatable, driven yet chill, and knows how to market properties to the best advantage for both buyers and sellers. His appreciation and knowledge of older homes such as mine, as well as his knowledge of how houses of all eras are put together (and his sense of humor), is a bonus. If you are looking for a real estate agent in Volusia County who's willing to put in the work and go the extra mile, I enthusiastically recommend Matthew McLean of Shoreline Realty.

Also, we could see through the volume of real estate transactions, that Lyn was a full-time and dedicated Realtor. Lyn helped us negotiate a lower purchase price that we were happy with, after I let her know where we would happily land in a price range. She helped us to purchase in cash, without leaving us strapped to begin our personal touches and improvements. You would think that is all that she would really need to do, after all, we could just turn everything over to the title company now. Instead, she was completely on top of making sure that the roof warranty paperwork was signed over to us in a timely manner, and that two seller repairs were completed. Okay, so that would be expected. What was totally above and beyond was setting up our Home Warranty so that we could have peace of mind in our new home! Could there be anything more? YES! So, hurricane Ian was about to hit the new home area Thursday afternoon and my husband and I were out of state. Our wire transfer and closing documents were all to be made remotely. One can imagine the restlessness in closing remote with these circumstances. Lyn made sure that we had a video walk through Thursday morning, before the hurricane hit and then, did a second video walk through Friday afternoon after the hurricane! Who does that? In all of my years, purchasing and selling (this is our 8th home!) Lyn has, by far, been the best realtor that we have worked with! My husband and I cannot thank you enough, Lyn, for your professionalism, negotiating expertise and attention to detail!! Believe me when I tell you, I will be sharing your contact information with others!
