Two of the employees (I believe one was a manager on duty) received a phone call from an elderly man asking for help on a piece of furniture he purchased from them in the past. The "manager" put the eldery man on speaker so her coworker could hear and they started laughing at him behind his back. I guess she didn't realize that customers could hear the whole ordeal. It was truly appalling and very unprofessional. I had to buy furniture to furnish a whole house and took my business elsewhere. Do not recommend!

Ashley furniture store in Shallotte is an exceptionally well-kept and clean furniture store with…read morevery friendly staff. I have shopped at the store for years and always get what I feel is a fair deal unlike add some other furniture stores in Wilmington. During my last trip, I worked with a salesperson named Loy who took the time to explain features and options with each piece of furniture that we had questions with. The front desk staff (Heather) was also kind and helpful with any questions I had regarding Warranty etc. Heather exemplifies what good customer-focused service should look like. I highly recommend using the store for any of your furniture needs. My only complaint is that it will take 2 months or so to get my furniture. I will not reduce this store's star rating however, for the company I would only give 4 stars due to this issue. As a side note, unlike my nightmare dealings with warranties at Rooms to Go which is the reason that I refuse to shop there anymore. When I did have an issue with two pieces of Ashley furniture a few years ago they honored their warranty without any questions or hassle. This is one of the reasons Ashley is the only furniture store I actually trust and the only location I actually trust is the Shallotte location.

An entire 2 months later is when I finally got my furniture I ordered. The salesman told me in person it would take approximately 2 weeks, not 2 months or I never would have ordered from them. I have called 2 times a week every week for the past month looking for updates on this furniture's arrival. If I call on a Monday they tell me it will come in on Friday, and if I called on a Friday (when I still hadn't gotten an update on it) they told me it would be the following Monday. That happened every week for an entire month. The delivery men Tyre and Terrence were absolutely amazing, they were friendly, officiant and very fast. They were my best experience with this store. Basically all it comes down to is I will never buy furniture from this store again and I make sure to tell everyone I come in contact with not to buy from them either!!

We experienced the chipping immediately. The painter did not sand or prime our cabinets. The painter claimed the one coat paint/primer would work. It didn't. At first, Indigo Bloom was responsive and sent their contract painter back out. The painter recommended we buy knob plates to protect against nicks and chips. Not a reasonable solution to paint chipping off drawers and doors not near the knobs. After complaining further, Indigo Bloom sent the painter a second time to remove all our doors and added a stronger sealer. We were told our cabinets would now be protected from normal wear and tear. 11 months later the paint keeps chipping off.
