From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by an atmosphere that can only be described as "authentically aged." The lighting is exquisitely dim, clearly curated to enhance both mystery and forgiveness. The floors? A masterclass in texture--each step tells a story, and possibly sticks to your shoe just enough to ensure you don't forget it. The beverage program is... fearless. Why settle for an overcomplicated cocktail when you can enjoy a drink poured with confidence and a complete disregard for pretension? Ice is optional, vibes are mandatory. Service operates on a beautifully relaxed timeline, allowing guests to truly sit with their thoughts, reflect on life, and maybe make a new friend who insists they once "almost went pro." And the clientele--what a vibrant tapestry. A gathering of philosophers, storytellers, and karaoke visionaries, all contributing to an ambiance that no amount of interior design could ever replicate. In a world obsessed with polish and perfection, Cheers Pub stands tall as a monument to character, chaos, and charm. If you're looking for a place that trades white tablecloths for unforgettable memories (and possibly a mild hangover), look no further. Five stars. No notes. Would absolutely lose track of time here again.

We stopped by for Trivia Night on a weekday and the parking lot was completely full. I ended up parking on the street a few minutes away by foot. Ambiance (3/5): Rob Ray's is a casual, no frills, open air taproom. Most of the seating is at picnic-style tables. After a while, I grabbed a chair to have some back support. There's also no A/C so I imagine it can get pretty toasty when it's hot outside. The walls are covered with flags of different colleges. I found my alma mater, the University of Michigan, which was pretty awesome! Service (4.5/5): You order at the bar. The service is friendly and even Rob Ray was there. He introduced himself and asked if it was my first time. There was a bit of a line at some points but it moved quickly. Food (N/A): While they don't serve food, they do allow you to bring food. There's a taco joint across the street and they have a menu at Rob Ray's. You can call in and pick up your order. Drinks (4/5): Now this is what we're here for! They have a nice selection of beers on tap and bottled beer. I'm all about the variety and trying new beers so that's what I did. Every single beer I tried was one I had never had before. They also have some seltzers. If you're looking for a deal, you can buy tokens at a flat rate. They also allow you to make donations with your purchase to firefighters, nurses, police officers, etc. which is a really nice touch. It makes giving back easy if you'd like to do so! Overall: While I wish they had A/C and the seating was a little more comfortable, I would definitely return to try out some more of their beers. Trivia was a good time too. They had prizes for first and second place. While my team didn't win, we fought valiantly until the end!
