Some decent names here = Cotton Traders, Clarks, Mountain Warehouse, Cadburys, Whittards and Bedeck, sorry can't remember the other outlets. Greatly improved parking. The message is use or or lose it.

Marks and Spencer Kendal has an excellent food and drink area, and is generally well catered for in…read morethe clothing departments. It is badly let down by its provision for men's suits however. This area is left completely unmanned, leaving the customer to flounder trying to make sense of the various combinations on offer. The suits themselves are displayed haphazardly, with very poor choice on offer regarding sizes. One suit range was even being sold with a suit jacket a different colour to the trousers! Upon asking a member of staff for help, blank expressions were received as they don't "usually look after the suits". All in all, given that this is Marks and Spencer, the whole experience was catastrophically dissappointing. Kendal has a Beales store in town that has an amazing range of suits on offer for all price ranges so they ultimately took the sale of a new suit.

I am not really qualified to review a shopping centre as I avoid them like the plague. However a…read moreone star rating has been awarded to this car park. It is a nightmare. It is split into 2 sections with small zebra crossings that most drivers ignore, the spaces are EXTREMELY narrow and even though you try your best there is always a danger that your car door will touch the next car when you open it. Hardly any oedestrian walkways either and some younger idiots seem to use the place to see how loud they can get their tyres to screech. They have a cheek charging what they do. My suggestion to anyone who reads this is to park somewhere else in Kendal.

It turns out that it is one of a chain of these shops, so look out for one near you. If you check out the photos which I've posted, you may understand my enthusiasm. Another benefit for me is that the sizes are for the normal range of real women. I have a problem with the can I help you brigade in these places. That wasn't present here. Oh, I forgot to mention the range of imaginative jewelery and hats. Brilliant.

A little more than I would normally pay for my gear but worth it. Super helpful and chatty staff are the icing on the cake!
