Although we keep regular office hours (and then some) we operate by appointment in case we are busy with another customer; or on occasion, out of the office.

History

Established in 2004.

Beacon Digital Video was started out of the need of owner/founder Dave Doherty's need to consolidate over 40 years personal photos and videos. Says Doherty: "We were downsizing our home when moving to the seacoast and had boxes and boxes of photos, slides, 8mm film and VHS tapes. Aside from being difficult to view and share with the family, and deteriorating over time - they were taking up a lot of room! I thought - I should transfer all this to DVD - and that's how we got into the video editing and transfer business. In February 2020, Becky Ball purchased the business from Dave and continues as owner & operator. Becky ran the business our of her home office in Dover, NH until May 2024 when she relocated to Tacoma, WA. Becky continues to own and operate the business successfully in the Pacific Northwest, where she now call home.

Meet the Business Owner: Becky B.

For as long as I can remember my passions have been photography, writing and album keeping. Even as a little girl I always had a camera in hand and organized our family pictures into albums. Then, as an adult, I decided to turn these lifelong passions into an occupation by starting my own scrapbook business. For many years, I helped clients organize their photos and taught them how to preserve them permanently in photo-safe books. I also worked for several years as a Photo Solutions Specialist at a local photo retail store, where amongst many other things, I started up and ran the home movie transfer service. I pride myself in extending exceptional customer service and topnotch results in your finished projects. I will help you gain control of all the many pieces of your family history and ensure your story will not just be preserved for generations, but conserved for sustainability and easy, long-term accessibility for all to discover and celebrate.
