I came to this dentist a year ago for a cleaning. At the time of the apt the dentist turned down my cleaning saying my teeth were too clean. She said I did need two cavities filled as well as SUGGESTED an invasive under the gums deep cleaning. I turned down the deep cleaning and scheduled the fillings. The day before the fillings apt I received a confirmation call for a deep cleaning the next day. I once again turned down the deep cleaning and said the apt was for two fillings. I was told that the dentist would not do my two fillings unless I did the deep cleaning which I then denied. A year later I schedule an apt for a check up to see if I could get invisiline. They confirmed the apt and said to come in for the referral. I got to my apt today, was taken to the back by the dental assistant who had no idea why I was there. I was then taken back to the front where I was told they wouldn't do the referral without the deep cleaning. The staff then tried to tell me no dentist would do my fillings or look at my teeth for an invisiline referral without the deep cleaning. This dental office ignored my NEEDS (two fillings) and wants multiple times. I don't appreciate this dental office trying to force a procedure on me and then changing my referral apt into an invasive appointment without my consent. I will not be returning back to this location. I had a wonderful experience with my teeth cleaning. However, having an impartially impacted tooth extracted by the Dr. Conner was horrific, traumatic and very painful. She dogged my mouth. I went through 2hrs of chipping and pulling. At one point I had to ask for more anesthesia. When she gave the shot she rammed the needle in my back jaw so hard that I moaned. It felt like it was frustrastion. It was a difficult extraction which explains the reason why my former dentist said he would refer me to an oral surgeon. I swallowed a jagged edge piece of tooth which landed me in the ER 4 days later because I was having difficulty swallowing, my tongue was numb and I couldn't ( a week later I still can't) fully open my mouth. I had to have a CT Scan and intravaneous antibiotics. I really felt like it was Dr. Conner's ego that took over. Because there is NO way had I been a dentist that I would have continued to try to extract it. I would have found an emergency oral surgeon to remove the rest. Because I knew what type of pain the patient would have been facing. It had nothing to do with me. It was about her getting that tooth out. In the middle of the extraction she stopped and had the hygienist do an xray. While waiting on her return I took the opportunity to do Reiki and to say a prayer. When Dr. Conner return she asked if I was praying. I said yes... Dr. Conner replied me too. I don't care if a person has done a million impacted wisdom tooth removals. Sometimes you need help from others. This was a very very very bad and traumatic experience for me. I wouldn't recommend Dr. Conner to my worst enemy. Oh, and I was not offered a post opt appointment when I left out. It wasn't until I had to go to the ER. And when I expressed my anger, dissatisfaction and disappointment with Dr. Conner, the service, procedure and letting her know that I my tongue was still numb and that I couldn't open my mouth that I was offered a post op. And that was because Dr. Conner wanted to treat me for Trismus. I declined and have found me another dentist. Oh and I was told that I would get a call to see how everything was going after the extraction. I didn't hear anything. But they got their money. And I got extra bills. And another thing. That waiver that you sign before any fillings or extraction is just for her protection. So when she doggs your mouth out and causes you trauma. Aint nothing you can do about it. Save yourself some pain and your pockets some money. Find another dentist. You are not protected by the dentist. If a nerve is hit or damaged you are screwed. read more

Since my original review I have been here on several occasions for cleaning/fillings. I had a different hygienist this time who was very abrupt, snotty and rude. When she finished with me she simply handed me the bag with a new toothbrush, floss, etc and walked out without a word. There was also another issue with scheduling (surprise, surprise). Dentist claimed I needed 3 fillings which I wish I had gotten a second opinion or just went elsewhere. I had planned to have the fillings done on the day of my cleaning and that is what I discussed with the receptionist when I scheduled. Upon my arrival I was told that this was scheduled in error and that the dentist "was busy enough as is" (yes receptionist said this as if it were my problem that the staff scheduled me this way) so could not do all my fillings today. Annoyed, I still went ahead and scheduled to have the last filling done at another time... For every one of the fillings the anesthesia wore off DURING the procedure! Worst feeling ever! I can't say whether she had me sit too long waiting for her to come and start after administering it or if not quite enough was administered in the first place. But on one of them she ended up having to stop the procedure twice to administer another dose each time because I kept feeling it. Also,at one point while the assistant was working on me while she stepped out I made the assistant aware that I was feeling it and she didn't even bother to tell the dentist even though she claimed she would. The dentist came right back in and started working and I had to raise my hand to make her stop. I felt like I was at the dentist from little shop of horrors... Unfortunately I have been in a dentists' chair way more times than I care to count and never has this happened to me before. I do not plan to return here again if nothing else because of the anxiety that this will happen again. Also it has taken about 4 months for my sensation to return to normal in the area of the fillings. For the first 2-3 months I had horrible pressure-sensitivity on the side where 2 fillings were done. I had informed the dentist about this at one follow-up visit and she explained that what she had done was "like orthodontic work" to complete the filling and that my teeth just needed to settle in. Ummmm, no... Never has it taken my teeth months to adjust to a simple filling. I'm done. read more

I don't want to be writing this review but unfortunately I don't have a choice. I first visited beacon in June of 2021 for a cleaning. I was told I had 4 cavities that needed to be filled, I agreed and scheduled an appointment to have them filled. A few weeks later I got all 4 cavities filled in one sitting. I left the office feeling fine but when I was well enough to eat I noticed that I had a shooting pain at the site of one of my lower right cavity sites. Then I was flossing and noted on a different tooth when I closed I had shooting pain where my cavity was filled in the upper right. I called them and got in to have them looked at. The dentist looked at them and did what she did to fix them: refilled the lower left cavity and shaved the upper right (I think). I left and was hopeful it was fixed. It was not fixed. I'm busy, I don't have time to go back and forth to the dentist so I waited a while hoping that the sensodyne toothpaste she told me to use would help. It didn't. I finally went back for a cleaning (6 months later) and had her look at them again. They took X-rays and noted things looked fine. The dentist looked at the tooth noting she did not know why it was in pain but continued to shave the lower right cavity while having me bite on various items. While I was doing so the pain was still there, but she said something along the lines of "it probably hurts because we've been agitating it." I agreed and we moved to the next tooth. The upper right tooth where flossing hurts, she said also looked fine but maybe it got moisture in it when filling it. Things happen. I get it. She then refilled it and had the dental hygienist check before I left that it didn't hurt (I had a cleaning scheduled). The dental hygienist did the cleaning and flossed between the teeth for me. It didn't hurt! Finally! I went home extremely hopeful this pain I've been dealing with for 6 months is finally over. I flossed, and once again, winced in pain at the location of the upper right filling (I chalk the no pain in the dental office to the numbing.) I ate dinner and chewed on the right side of my mouth and winced in pain, it was still intolerable. I will, unfortunately, be going to a different dentist for a second opinion & no longer returning to Beacon. The staff was very nice about all of this and never made me pay for the extra fillings or exams. I adore the dental hygienist I had and really hope this is a one off experience where my teeth are just super sensitive but after 4 visits (I did not detail the other 2 in my story above, but it's the same circle) I have to get my teeth fixed. read more

The two younger woman dentists were great. However, the gentlemen in the front desk was enough for our family not to go back there. Today was our second visit here so still being in a new place for my young daughters. I took my 2 daughters (4 and 11) to the office for further treatment and my 11 y.o. daughter said she felt uncomfortable to be out in the waiting area alone. Other dentist office we were serviced had accommodations bringing a chair for a parent and a kid to stay in the treatment room even during all COVID time and this office said no. I understand their concern to limit the number of people, but we were new patients and my daughter wasn't feeling comfortable by herself in the waiting room. The actual problem was that there wasn't even an acknowledgement of that and he made my daughter feel shameful that she wasn't independent enough. It was the front desk man's attitude that drove us to rush home. Not only he argued, he showed complete lack of control on his facial expressions (many frowns) and voice. We declined the service. When we were exiting, he raised his voice (he's a big man) with big arm gestures and that frightened us. Just be prepared that if you are bringing a kid, there is no chair except for the doctor and the hygienist, so you will be standing there the whole time. If you are bringing 2 kids, one kid will be out in the waiting room. Very disappointed with the level of courtesy and the attitude of this man. read more

If I could rathe this 0 stars I would. Very bad service and the receptionist was very rude and never answered any questions that I asked. Charged me over the amount that I had to pay. She claimed that she called me before my appointment but never did and kept lying, I'm very upset cause they don't even call or text to notify you the day before your appointment. My insurance had to send them a paper to confirm and it got to them but they never called to ask me when my next appointment will be. They are liars and lie telling you they are going to call you and they never will I had to go there multiple times just to make an appointment that turned out to be the worst and never once do they tell you about the cost. It's the day of they tell you and they don't care. End of story it's a bad place and keeps taking money out of you. Don't go there they have awful service in general, I do not recommend.The thing that Aggravated me they most is you have to pay 50$ to cancel an appointment, that's the most ridiculous thing that I've seen in my life. read more

Our family has been going here for a few years now and we are always very impressed with the professionalism, cleanliness of the office, and the work that Dr. Conner and her staff have done. When we moved further away, we looked for a new dentist. After going to a few, we decided to return to Beacon because nothing quite matched the service and professionalism. Dr. Connor is the BEST dentist. She's skilled in her work and has a practical no non-sense approach. Pricing is reasonable and she's able to discuss costs and benefits relative to price. After several bad experiences with other dentists, I've finally found a dentist that I can trust. In addition to Dr. Connor, the dental hygienists and office staff are very friendly and helpful. I decided to go to Beacon Dental Center off of Park Road after researching many dental practices(even making onsite inspection visits). Doctor M. Connor and her team treating me with Care and Respect. Doctor Connor is not only passionate but very knowledgeable about her profession. I was like a big kid, afraid of dentist(due to previous experiences at other dentist's offices/office visits and care). She took the time to explain all my dental issues, the plan , of action and the office personnel (from the front desk to the care unit team took very good care of me and my dental needs. Personally Dr Connor is a great dentist! But you always have 1 apple to spoil the bunch. The front desk clerk (Jeri) is rude, condescending and depending on what mood she's in, she can be very asinine. I've seen some of the nicest people come and go because they can't tolerate this lady. There's a totally new staff mostly hispanic women and you can tell that they're already on edge & trying to figure out how is this going to work. So I had another dental emergency in which I left work early to get some relief. Needless to say it's been days now and my tooth is still not repaired. Here's my problem they told me my insurance won't cover a fractured tooth. Okay well at least find another temporary solution until the patient get enough money to pay out of pocket. I called today to inquire about a cheaper solution to fix my problem and she seemed very ANNOYED and continuously rattled off large amounts like $4000 to fix one tooth.... I'm DISHEARTENED and will share my experience every opportunity I'm afforded. Meantime I'm looking for a new dentist. DONT GO! read more

I decided to go to Beacon Dental Center because I had been going to my current dentist for 30+ years and I know he was going to retire soon, and they are both off of Park Road. Also, being a new facility I was interested to learn if they had made any significant advancements in dental x-rays because I have a horrible gag reflex and it is difficult to get them taken. I found the dentist at Beacon Dental Center to have a horrible bedside manner, and at one time she even tried to wrap my tongue with gause so she could move it around in my mouth. HELLO? If I gag on a plastic piece in my mouth do you really think you can grab my tongue with a piece of fabric and move it around? She basically threw her hands up and said I can't treat you. Absolutely wretched experience, the worst of any dentist I've visited. I don't like to post negative reviews but in this case I'd like to prevent anyone else from making the same mistake I did by patronizing this establishment. read more
