So they know the owner very well and come here on a very regular basis. And I can see why... adorable little modern space, great tunes, great original Czech Budvar (Budweiser), yummy wines, and what looked like mighty delicious snacks and entrees. Actually, I'm not sure if they were tapas or entrees, but I don't think it matters. Order a bunch because they smelled delicious. (we didn't order food because we had reservations for dinner down the street). The next time we go to this Spaarne-side lounge, it will be sunny so that we can sit outside (just two or three tables available), and we will taste the food menu. And we will stay for hours. Because this is that type of place. Cozy and cute and high quality - perfect!

Sit down, exchange a few words, and then get up and proceed to a private area downstairs. There, the bar is ours, and delightful food starts coming out - bacon, potato skins, salad, gazpacho, cake, and the works. Turns out the space is big enough for 30+ of the best company you could find in Haarlem. The drinks keep on flowing. The bartender is amazing, service with a smile, even recharges my iPhone 5 (now that's service). Great times were had by all. I would come back, you would come back. This place is a gem when it comes to service, food, and company.

This is a paid for airport lounge at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol…read more This lounge is situated between departure area 1 and 2. The interior is modern and perhaps a bit futuristic, a lot of white shiny surfaces but still warm and inviting due to brown fabrics, fake fireplace, etc... The lounge provides an excellent way to relax before a flight. The Food and Beverage offerings change through the day to match with people's needs for the particular time of day. Their is usually soup, warm savoury snacks, cheeses, fresh olives, two types of salads, fresh bread buns, cheese, meat, etc. At certain times of the day there are also nice sweet offerings, like macaroons, chocolate cake, etc. The products on offer are always of good quality and are tasty. The fizzy drinks are nicely presented in small bottles (no no 'post mix' taps) in fridges and I have never seen an empty fridge. I'm not much of a wine drinker so I can't comment on the choice of wines nor about their quality. There is a good WIFI connection, downloading a tv show from iTunes doesn't take very long (though the speed will obviously vary). Toilets are clean, one very spacious near the end of the lounge and smaller ones near the entrance. A nice enough selection of magazines and international newspapers. The lounge offers speedy border passage with their dedicated security lanes (they can be a lifesaver) for both Schengen countries as non-Schengen countries (iris scan). All in all, if you travel regularly through Schiphol this lounge offers good value! There are extra services for car owners who want to park as close to the runway as possible. As I don't have a car I can't comment on those...

Crew were standing at the top of the escalators to direct guests and answer questions. In addition, there were kiosks available if you needed flight assistance. The lounge was extremely clean and there are lockers available if you have a longer lay-over, I suppose. The food that I tried was delicious and I was able to refill my water bottle. Nice break on a layover between international flights!

The food offerings were rather mediocre, the lounge was too crowded. The seating opportunities were not all that comfortable. 2) After de-planing after more than 90 minutes waiting in the plane before they declared a non-fixable technical issue: Ok there was a small relief that they found it before taking off. But that's all. After that minimoment, there was only the frustration about losing a whole day in a shitty hotel but that there was an absolute chaos and poor management, poor communication. As business class traveler, I was directed back to the lounge, but within the lounge, there was a lack of proactive information/communication. Taken both together, it was a memorable experience that I would like to forget as quickly as possible.
