Great place for a snack. The chicken tenders were just alright, but they were exactly what I needed.

I bike along the beach regularly and this is a great little beach cafe at the end of the bike path so it's a great place to refuel for the return trip back. They have a large variety of food. Everything from burgers and hot dogs to Tacos and even a full menu of desserts.

On my way from malibu to santa monica Pier, I stopped by this place. I thought that instead of eating another burger, maybe I should try something a little more healthy, so I ordered the fish and chips. Had I known what I was getting, I would have stuck to the burger. I got three pieces of battered fish that were drenched in oil. Oil was literally dripping off of them. The fries were soft and oily. One of the pieces of fishe was not even cooked all the way through and was rubbery. For nearly $16, it was the worst food I have ever had. In fact, it was worse than the burger I got almost 20 years ago at Joe's Greasy Spoon at a truck stop on I-84 in Pennsylvania. If I could give no stars, I would. Don't waste your money here and have mercy on your body. EAT SOMEWHERE ELSE.

I loved the convenience of this beach cafe! First off they take cash only. There is an ATM available for your convenience however it comes with a fee. The cafe has their prices listed which was helpful. They have a range of items-hamburger, fries, pizza, ice cream, chips, drinks, candy. We ordered fries and ice cream, it was a perfect snack for us. The fries were delicious. They were busy when I went on a weekend but the line goes fast, thank goodness because there is no shade on a hot day. They are located right next to the bathrooms and near the parking lot. They have a couple of tables with umbrellas for customers. They provide boxes for you to carry your items back with you if you are taking it back to the beach like I was. Awesome place, we will be back!

Great view, nice selection of good food for breakfast or lunch, super kid friendly due to being located next to the playground at the beach. Nice attentive staff. Don't order the house coffee it's pretty gross! The latte would be a better choice. Reasonable pricing.

Located at the entrance of Will Rogers State Beach lies the Beach Side Cafe. It is true what other Yelpers have said about this place- no customer service, no napkins or utensils and only ketchup and mustard made readily available. Oh, and CASH ONLY. There is an ATM if you need it though. The prices are steep; we ordered a grilled cheese, fries and turkey sandwich and it cost $19. My fries were cold and soggy but the sandwiches were decent. The only thing this place has going for them is their location so if you're willing to walk a little farther South, I highly encourage you go to Perry's Cafe where the seating and condiments are ample and abundant.

Okay place but overprice the menu items other than what the menu says plus charges extra 75 cents at the end. Not very good food either.

Four star for convenience and how inexpensive it is. It is cash only, which sucks but there is an ATM. I was scared it was going to be an expensive fee but it was only $3.50. Glad it was there, I was hungry and only had chips and drinks! Can't complain!

    Bacon Cheeseburger and Fries. $13.75

Great options for food when on the beach! Portions are great too. CASH ONLY. Prices: A meal with Cheeseburger, fries, and drink is about $14. Burgers are about $7 plus $1 for any bacon or add ons. Burgers come with lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickle. Ice cream starts at about $5. Fries are about $6 if you're just ordering a side, and the portion is huge. Food: All of my food was delicious. The fries are definitely frozen, and were a little overcooked, but still good. I enjoyed it all. Food is served in a handy uncovered box that you can easily walk back to your beach area. They provide napkins and packets of ketchup. Seating: They have a few tables available Prep time: You'll wait about 15 minutes for your order. (I went on a pretty busy day) Staff: The lady that served me was very nice and accommodating.

Slow service and cash only. 80+ minutes for two burgers. Spent my time at the beach waiting for my number to get called.

The Golden Bull in Santa Monica is one such classic stalwart, serving Santa Monica Canyon for over 75 years (nearly as long as McDonald's has been in existence). Over the decades, this seaside chophouse has been synonymous with a mean steak and a stiff cocktail; even a recent renovation and change in ownership stayed true to the Golden Bull's core. Now, the Golden Bull remains one of the most highly recommended steakhouses in LA. Waves are crashing across Pacific Coast Highway just blocks away. Outside, the prior parking lot has been converted into a breezy street-ery. The moody interior feels straight out of an episode of Mad Men, apart from the 90s pop echoing around the room. White-linen tables are pressed up to reupholstered leather booths. The dark wooden walls are decorated with historic black-and-white photographs and portraits. A blue-toned tropical aquarium serves as the centerpiece of the trim backlit bar. I visited with my family for weekend "Golden Hour," and the space was mostly deserted. We ordered dinner and drinks across both the happy hour and standard menus. The sleeper hit of our meal was the Buttermilk Onion Rings. These rich, shoestring-style rings were plenty capable as a standalone side, but they were enhanced by the tangy garlic aioli and zingy chipotle mayo. The crispy, skin-on Garlic Herb French Fries were no slouch, either, as a sidekick to the onion rings. The other happy hour specials were less memorable; the Canyon Caesar was mostly standard, while the Fried Calamari was crispy but dry and underseasoned. The 16oz NY Strip was on the fatty side, but the deliciously seasoned, well-cooked meat never for a second needed a drop of steak sauce. The French Onion Soup was heavy on Gruyere and bageutte while curiously light on onion. The Creamed Spinach was hardly creamy or cheesy, and the spinach was unseasoned. Lastly, my Old Fashioned was stiff and otherwise standard. The service was sluggish but friendly. The happy hour prices were plenty reasonable, while the steak alone approached $70. Not all of the items were hits, but collectively, our meal was a success. In the future, I will be sure to re-order the onion rings, while I may venture further into the Golden Bull's delectable steak lineup.

I've been wanting to check this place out for awhile as they blown up on social media and today just felt like a burger and fries day and I have to say this is a place that lives up to the hype and more. I ordered the grilled smash and it was amazing. Perfectly balanced and delicious and the perfect size for me, not too big or small, not too greasy, packed a ton of flavor across the meat, cheese and perfectly balanced with their house sauce and pickle. Ate that one up too. I also appreciated their level of service in how they packaged up my order so nicely and with a great level of care, and hooked me up with a ton of fries too - they were overflowing when I opened the bag and still nice and hot when I took them home! Casual spot definitely is going to be on my list of go to regular spots for one of the BEST in LA. Hands down. I totally get it. You got something real special here Pn'P!!!

They nickel-and-dime you with the sauces, charging $1.27 for an ounce of sauce and overpriced Coke bottles at $3.75. Once we paid, take into mind we placed our own order at the kiosk, collected our food, which was prepared for to-go only, arranged our own tables for our grandchildren, and were charged a 5% fee for having a party of more than 6. Remember, this is a self-serve hamburger joint with no waitresses, no busboys, or cash registers. Whoever is responsible for the store's communication needs training. I love to go out and eat, and I am a huge advocate for small businesses, but this one does not deserve any stars. This is how the message started: Hey there, Thank you for reaching out to us. I understand your frustration regarding the 5% charge on your recent visit, and I appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We apply a large party fee to all large orders for operational reasons. This helps our team manage the additional logistics and coordination required to accommodate larger groups within our workflow. We value your feedback as a guest and will share your comments regarding the fee disclosure with our management team. Best regards,
