I went to get a pedicure the other day. The lady that started my pedicure started cutting my toe nails . On my big toe nail of my right foot she started cutting my nail so short she cut onto my nail bed that I cried in pain. It took her awhile to stop. She was cutting so short and hurt so bad I couldn't believe it. I told her to stop and not to touch me. I wonder if she even has a license. The front desk gal came over and asked if my nail was cracked. No it was just too long. She's kinda young and I don't thing she knew what to do. She processed to tell me some people are more sensitive than others!!! Excuse me. When someone is cutting into your nail bed your gonna be in pain not just sentive . I was nervous about have anyone touch me at that point but Erin came over and tried to make it look half way decent. At least she didn't hurt me . I can't believe they still charged me 30.00 for the pain I went thru. I won't be going back. They lost me. Below are pics. Left toe looks like my right toe did before the mangling. Unfortunately the employees have changed and I no longer recommend this place. Very rude, missing information, and general feeling that you are not welcome there. Pedicure water was cold, never had hot water, my feet were soaked for 1 minute. Cuticles were not cleaned, uneven cut, no care was taken with the polish. Nobody helps to put your sandals back on. Very disappointed as this used to be my go to place. I will not be going back. read more

I live in Bend, Oregon, but during the last few years have been to Beach Nails at least 8 to 10 times when visiting family in the South Bay. My daughter is a regular; sometimes with her husband and sometimes with her 4- year old daughter. I have always had a really good experience at the salon whether for gel or natural manicures, and also for pedicures. High quality service and cleanliness. Yesterday, Journey gave me one of the best gel manicures I have ever had. My hands look and feel great and as a bonus, Journey has a fascinating background and is a delight to talk with. About a month ago, Tina gave me a splendid pedicure. I really look forward to returning to each of them. Truly a treat. read more

I was hoping to have a great experience but from the time I walked in it was problematic. I had an appt and as soon as I come in I'm grilled on my name and if I had an appt. because they can't find my name. Then someone else says I'm on the schedule. Fine. I sit down and I have someone who does my pedicure. Very rushed but an ok job. Polish was sloppy but whatever. It's my feet. Then the manicurist comes and she takes a really long time. I get no lotion or hand massage, the polish is sloppy (see pic) and my nails look worse than when I went in. I let the owner know that I didn't get a full massage or lotion and she apologized and that was it. Nothing else. $53 down the drain. Oh and at the end, you need to get yourself out of the chair, they don't come to put your shoes back on and you have to walk up to the counter to pay. No one brings you the ticket nor are they interested in taking out the paper between your toes for you. This is not a full service situation. read more

Just before my appointment I also got a phone call stating that they were ready for me in addition to a text. When I went into the shop, I was happy to see that they were waiting for me with smiles. Sherry (I think) did my nails and was very thorough. I also had eyebrows waxed. She did a great job on both. The place is extremely clean and cute with pink accessories. Nothing is rushed, every detailed is thought out. She suggested I try Gel-X, and I'm glad I did. They look like acrylics but feel so light and don't hurt my natural nail. First and last time in this place for me. Look at the pictures. She didn't touch the cuticles at all. She didn't clear around the nail. The nail polish was unevenly applied, so I got patches of darkness and lightness. The nail polish doesn't go to the base of the nail having the appearance of outgrown color for at least a week, even though it's been done only a few hours ago. Very disappointed. read more

It's so much fun to chat with Ms Kathy, the owner, and she runs a smooth operation. There are no long conversations going on around me in a language I don't understand. As someone who relies heavily on reviews to determine where I'll go for services, I feel like I'm doing others an injustice by not leaving a review. Unfortunately, my experience here was pretty awful. I noticed from the start that the polishes for pedicures weren't kept in the best condition but I decided I'll give it a shot. When I went to the chair for my pedicure they were t in good condition either.. which was weird because this place has such high reviews. When I sat down something just felt off. When the woman who was doing my pedicure began to clip my toenails I noticed her clippers were covered in rust and dirty. I felt so awkward and gross but I decided to just ask nicely. Because this is her livelihood and I'm not rude by any means "did you grab those from a pouch?" I noticed she had a dirty cosmetics case on the floor! And she said she did.. I asked to see it and she wouldn't let me. I expressed to her I felt super uncomfortable and would pay for my toenail polish remover and just wanted to leave. I even thanked her. At that point she wouldn't let me go, she kept trying to work on me and said "no please, I'll use this to-go kit instead" when she opened her case I noticed that she didn't have a sterile place for any of her tools. It was honestly so disturbing. The worst part is she literally kept grabbing my feet and putting them back in the water when I was trying to put my sandals on to leave. She was literally forcing me to stay. I'm not over exaggerating at all. It was the most horrifying nail salon experience. Needless to say please please check if they are storing their equipment properly as well as sanitizing them before you have any services done here. I'm telling you there's no way this is a five star salon. read more

Had my first experience here and it was very impressive. I had a spa pedicure with extra service for calluses. They did a fabulous job and took their time. I also had a full set of acrylic nails done. My boyfriends daughter was with me and we both had the same services. She had a coffin shape set done and the gal took her time and didn't rush with the shape or any of our service. I have been to many places here in the South Bay and this by far is my new number one choice! Who I am assuming was the owner was there. She was super nice and very involved with her staff and the service being done. I had been calling around on a Sunday to get service done after work at 5pm and they were open till 7pm and able to accommodate my services. Prices were very reasonable! I happened into Beach Nails and Spa as the result of a disastrous attempt to have my nails done elsewhere in 2018. Sometimes the Universe smiles on us and that day it was smiling on me. The moment I walked in, Kathy, the owner, and the entire staff welcomed me with smiles and happy greetings. They made me feel instantly comfortable and as though I'd been coming there for years. The salon itself is very well appointed. The service team is well-trained and friendly. And, my biggest criteria, it's super clean. All manicure/pedicure tools come individually packaged to each client. Soaking tubs are cleaned and disinfected after each use and the general environment is clean and well-maintained. Every treatment I've received at Beach Nails has been done very well. Manicures look great and last, the pedicures are so good I sometimes go a little too long between. Kathy stays well-informed on the latest trends and the staff knows their business, inside and out. During the pandemic, I was unable to use their services and I'll tell you, I really missed, not only the treatments but the people I've come to know. I first started going to Beach Nails back in 2008 when it was under other ownership and called Coco nails. I loved it and went there for years. Then the management and receptionist changed and I sadly looked elsewhere. During COVID they were one of the first to re-open after the first shut down. I was SO PLEASED to see Jennie (my absolute FAV!) and Ester and another nice lady that I am sorry I don't know her name but she does killer massage I also got to know Kathy the new owner and oh boy from there I was hooked! She is nice, friendly, accommodating, professional... just can't say enough. One point I will make though is in order to keep your staff through a transition you have to be a really good manager and I believe she truly is just that!! Curious about Cleanliness? I found this beautifully decorated salon last year when businesses were allowed to reopen shortly, and my husband suggested I go in since I was 9 months pregnant, and my feet were sorely swollen. The owner, Kathy, is an absolute doll. She is so accommodating, going above and beyond to ensure you are greeted promptly, comfortable and get everything you asked for. The technicians are talented and don't try to upcharge you the whole time you're in the chair like I've experienced at many other salons. My usual nail tech, Amy, does such an amazing job every time I see her. The prices are reasonable and the work is topnotch. The first time I came here I went with my boyfriend. We both got a manicure/pedicure. Long story short he seemed to have gotten better service than I did. Kathy the owner noticed I wasn't pleased with the service I received so she reached out to me and apologized. I really appreciated that gesture, I'm not the kind of person to go out of my way and say I didn't like something or have the tech fix little things. So we went back and had a much better experience. The only thing that bothers me is the second time the same thing happened, in the pictures you can see little bubbles/circles on the polish. I'm not sure why this happens but it hasn't happened to me before. I didn't notice it until after we had left.
