We stayed in Room 2 - the largest room with a private porch & bathroom. Room was spacious enough for us & the towels in the room were nice & large. Loved that the inn provided so many conveniences - beach chairs, towels, beach bag, bicycles, & bottled water! They also don't charge per night what other hotels on the same row charge... if you stay in a standard pool side room it is much less than the others. However , next year , I will probably bite the bullet and pay more. First of all , we booked in March and we were told we could have a second floor standard room. At that time , the person that had communicated my booking to me never told me that that wasn't guaranteed. The day before our check-in we were told that we had to be moved to a first floor standard room, and that floor choices were not guaranteed. That was the first thing that happened that turn us off to this place. But what choice did we have? NONE. So we gracefully said "OK no problem". The first night , I noticed stains on my sheets. Right where I have to put my face. Lovely. Also . The room is extremely, damp ! Everything feels wet all of the time. I believe it is due to the fact that the bathroom doesn't have a fan , which I understand isn't necessary if you have a window in the bathroom, but I think at a beachfront hotel should have a fan in the bathroom to prevent the dampness. And because it is so damp , there is mold on the blinds in the bathroom. Shown in picture. Anyway - the furniture is all chewed up underneath- also due to dampness. I drop something on the floor and had to look under the bed for it, and it was certainly a sight to see.! don't look under the bed just ignore it They only give you 3 flat pillows per bed. You can ask for more but every pillow is flat. And when the woman brought it out to me, I'm not even sure if she had washed her hands before touching the pillow, and she had the pillow snuggled up against her chest when she carried it out It smelled like her perfume, and I wasn't happy with that. The towels have stains and are very thin and rough! The staff was rude and not friendly. I will probably never stay here again. Sorry

We had a view of the dunes and ocean from our room and a nice little deck seating area with a table and chairs. The self-serve coffee bar and ice machines saved us from having to go to a coffee shop every morning so that was a definite plus! The beach entrance was right across the street from our parking lot! (After all, they've been in business for 30+ years!) I've been coming to LBI since i was a baby, and somehow missed this hidden gem! My fiancé and I were recommended this place by numerous people and boy were they right! The second you walk in, you're in awe of all the cute homey decor and games, piano, and cozy patio! Some things to note: -If you're worried about a shared bathroom: most rooms have their own private bathroom, but we booked late and were left with only the shared bathroom option. There was a separate key and it was always locked after use. The bathroom is shared with two rooms only, and was kept immaculate. I would definitely be content if i had to stay in that room again (plus it saved a bit of money) -The breakfast was great! It made it feel like home! Joanne's banana bread was deliiicious! As was everything else, and they have a ton of options for all dietary needs! -You can't go wrong staying on any of the floors! We were on the second floor and it was easy to pop in and out! -The $20/PP for late checkout was so worth it! You get to stay at the beach a little later, make use of their bikes and chairs, beach badges and pop in for a quick refreshment and shower before your trip ends! -Location: 10/10. Beach side, so it's easy to get to, but around the corner from CHEGG and a quick walk to fantasy island! Overall, I would give it a higher rating if i could! So worth it, and I'm so glad we found this place! Will be staying over and over again. Thank you for making me fall in love with LBI again :).
