Spring hours currently are 10-5 but I assume come summer it'll be open longer. There are also restrooms here for public use. Shoutout to the lady working here when we stopped, didn't get her name but she was super helpful and gave me lots of information about the lighthouses!

An annual must-visit to enjoy a banana split sundae with 3 flavours! Sitting down in their amazing old-school(but clean) swivel seating, everything about it is so perfect. Pro-tip, if you want more room to eat the sundae prior to melting and spilling over in the glass, ask for it in a to-go container, it will give you more time to eat it all, as it melts. It's a gem!! Always love the staff, as well! They are so extremely friendly and kind!! 10 star service!!! I remember coming here as a kid, with their penny candy shelves, it's of course been a while since that was a thing. I notice small updates every year, and it makes me thrilled to see it!! My husband had a chocolate hot fudge sundae and I had a raspberry Oreo hot fudge sundae. The ice cream is homemade and the portions are large. I love that the sundaes are made in metal sundae dishes. It reminds me of my childhood, very nostalgic. The Goldenrod is a York landmark. I believe it has been around since 1896. It is an old fashioned restaurant, ice cream parlor and confectionery. Their saltwater taffy is the very best. We always take home 4-5 one pound boxes:2 for us and 2-3 for family and friends. My husband's favorites are the chocolate, the creamsicle and lime. Friends and family love the peanut butter, banana and vanilla. I always choose blueberry, molasses and their peanut butter. The staff is top notch:welcoming, accommodating and friendly. The Goldenrod is one of my favorite places to visit in Maine!
