Decorative buoys and tons of wooden birdhouses is the main thing at this flower shop in Wells. Shop is small, smells fantastic with all the fresh blooms. We weren't here for flowers so can't comment on whether she grows her own, gets them delivered or picks them up. In any case, located on Rt 1 in York, we picked up two items with one of them locally-made by Maine fishermen for our backyard. I'm not sure about her flower arrangements- but looks like you can pick up a lovely bunch and call it a day. read more

I'm not a review writer. My expectations are that all should be good, when they are not I talk directly to the establishment. I need to write a review for Brenda because simply put she is a "ROCKSTAR". Above and beyond and beyond and beyond. We hosted our son and daughter in law's wedding, in our yard. The tent was put up Friday afternoon for the Saturday evening wedding. I looked at the tent and was horrified, as first time wedding planners none of us had thought about the fact that the tent does not come decorated. I texted Brenda at 3:00 and said "WE NEED HELP!" She was there at 6:30 PM and by 10:30 PM she created a magical venue. Mind you, this is not something she had planned for. She put it simply, "I need to do this because you are having a wedding, not a picnic". She is beyond amazing. The reason we hired Brenda was not to do this transformation (but how amazing that she did), but to be our florist. There is no way to explain how beautiful the flowers she created were. She created a 24 foot arrangement for the farmer's table that can only be described as magnificent. Matched by the beauty of the arrangement on the arbor, the bouquet and the vase arrangements. My son and daughter in law were amazed by the transformation of our yard. WE OWE IT ALL TO BRENDA! Without her dedication, we would have had a very different outcome. I'm sure there are many florists who create beautiful floral arrangements. I am certain that there are no others who would have done what Brenda did for us. Dedication to her client is the best way to say it. So, if you are just starting your journey to find a florist and you think to yourself "she seems distracted, I'm not sure I am her priority?" Know that you are not her priority that day because the person whose event is the next day is her priority. But I guarantee that you will be her only priority when it is your day. And I am certain you will be amazed by what she creates for you and by how much she cares about you. read more

Brenda did the ceremony and reception flowers for my small wedding in York and Kittery. Despite receiving the request last minute (due to our plans changing last minute as well) and only consulting with me once (because of me, not her), Brenda understood exactly the flowers I was looking for. She put together two beautiful ceremony bouquets and six adorable reception centerpieces in wooden boxes, and she delivered to both locations on time without any issues. The wooden boxes were her suggestion, after learning that our reception restaurant was a casual lobster shack with picnic tables. The worst flowers I ever received were from Brendas Bloomers. First off, she called me to tell me she was "doing me a favor" delivering them ! (I'm sorry I think I was the recipient) The flowers were paid for by a friend, in honor of my mom who had just passed away. (I didn' t care if the flowers were delivered or not) However, Brenda herself did deliver the roses on a Friday afternoon...and they were dead by Sunday. We hoped to hire Brenda but decided not to for our wedding due to the lack-of professionalism experienced with her. So I cannot review her actual final product. On the plus side, Brenda was very friendly and had a beautiful vision for the flowers. Unfortunately, we ultimately could not trust her with our wedding after she failed to show up at a meeting that we had arranged and handled the situation very poorly. Brenda knew that we traveled a long distance to consult with her--and when she failed to show for the meeting we felt completely forgotten and uncared about. When I called her inquiring about where she was it was very obvious that she had completely forgotten about us. She seemed over-booked and overwhelmed. Ultimately, we wanted our wedding day to be as stress-free as possible--so we emphasized professionalism and reliability in our vendors above all other things. Even though Brenda is a talented florist, we are disappointed that we could not trust her with our wedding. She seemed very disorganized and frazzled every time we spoke. Also, beware that she actively tries to remove negative reviews off other wedding websites. I have seen several poor reviews (ours included) disappear from these sites. Our hands are tied to recover such reviews because we ultimately did not hire her. I'm disappointed to see this happen, as we felt strongly about how bad our experience was. read more

I got Brenda's card when I went to my tasting at the Union Bluff. She came highly recommended and my husband and I decided to give her a call. From the first moment we chatted we knew we had to go with Brenda. We trusted her instantly and her knowledge was beyond compare. She asked questions to get to know me before even broaching the subject of flowers. She really wanted to get to know me and my now husband, our personalities, and our preferences. She was so good getting to the root of our colors and what would work for us! I'll never forget, she asked my favorite flower and I said 'idk blue or pink ones?' But she took our style and knocked it out of the park. I didn't want everything to look the same so she made 2 different styles of centerpieces that complimented the entire decor. Our bouquets were absolutely stunning and I wouldn't change a thing. Brenda also spent time with us day of to make sure we all knew exactly how to hold the flowers and care for them after the fact. I was not impressed and there was no wow factor and I didn't even get the purple roses. I e-mailed Brenda with questions about wedding pricing. She never answered my many requests for an idea of pricing, but instead set up an appointment to meet. I planned on meeting with her, but wanted to discuss ideas first. Rather than asking me more questions to be able to give me a "ball park" price, she just insisted on meeting. When I made the trip to Maine to meet with her, her shop was very small, messy and cramped. I showed Brenda some ideas off Pinterest and she threw together some quick bouquets. When I asked to take a picture of one of the bouquets to have on my phone she asked "why?", which I thought was very odd. After our meeting she drew up a contract and the price was much higher than we had discussed. Party because I had more tables than I originally thought, but she also threw in a few extra table arrangements that we did not agree upon. Overall I felt that her attitude was unprofessional and condescending at times. Brenda made my fiancé and I feel like a major inconvenience. We stopped in to find out about flowers for a single bridal bouquet, not knowing that an appointment was needed. We had to wait for her to do a few things before she was willing to discuss the bouquet and then in everything she said she made us feel like our business wasn't needed, wanted, nor did she have time for it. She was generally unpleasant in demeanor. Beyond that she gave no inspiration based on flowers/colors I was looking for, and prices were worse than any of the other local flower shops that had a nice selection and which all seemed like nice people willing to help. I will never go back. While I understand some constraints exist operating any business, and this very small place maybe has more, there is never an excuse for bad customer service. Had I known I needed an appointment I would've made one. Had she simply (and pleasantly) asked me to come back I could've done that as well. Instead she wasted our time, which was also minimal, her own, and simply left us ticked off and willing to share this experience with others. I don't leave bad reviews normally (first I think in a public forum) but she earned it.
