We have used beach butler for many years and have had fantastic experiences. It made our family trips so nice. We have dealt with nothing but pleasant employees.. until this trip. Gail the manager of the company has left us with a irreparable experience. The canopy was set up late every day of our trip. One evening, it was never taken down and had to be taken down by a neighbor as Gail's company never showed up! It was never set up one day of our vacation because it was "cloudy" and may rain- which it never did. One day, a storm came and I texted Gail to give her a heads up to take the canopy down. I never got a response. The canopy blew into the dunes and was damaged. Gail then called the next morning and insinuated that vandalism had been done to the tent. One day was a beautiful sunny day and as our family of 8 people was sitting under the canopy, an employee came over and abruptly asked us to get up and move our chairs with no explanation. When questioned, again we were told there was a possibility of rain(there wasn't a cloud in the sky and nothing on the radar). My father got frustrated with the employee (Kelsey) and spoke with Gail on the phone and when asked questions as to why this was happening, were given evasive, non informative answers. It was 2:00 pm with hours left in the day when our canopy was taken. My father later called back and left a lengthy, apologetic message, regretting his initial reaction. An hour later, Gail showed up at our beach house, took the canopy, and said they were refusing to put up the canopy any further due to my father's reaction when it was promptly taken down on the beach. She refunded us $30 and was very rude and not empathetic that this was our only vacation for our family for the year. We all worked hard, and saved money for this trip that we all love dearly. We are very upset at the customer service and treatment of our family by Gail. I'm very sad to have to write this post.. I would strongly advise against use of this company. read more
