Beyond the caring teachers and staff, safe and clean facilities, healthy food with lots of variety, snacks and diapers included...there's so much more. We have had 3 kids come through BB5 and the program just keeps getting better. Yes daycare is expensive (everywhere) but BB5 is worth it. Here are a few examples: - the app (while not the greatest app) is a huge step up from the paper we used to get. I love seeing real time updates, knowing if my kid ate or not, how much he slept, etc. As a parent it really helps me anticipate and adjust what our evening will look like. - Electronic sign in/out - yes! - Staff knows every face coming in and out. Strict security protocols for anyone entering those doors. - Love seeing all the pics and the activities the kids do every day. I have a massively better appreciation for the creative hands on engagement and activities they do with the kids on a daily basis. I also get to see all the friends and ask my child about them. It helps us have a good conversation after school and I'm always surprised at everything he has to share with me after the right prompt. - So many organized events like the Thanksgiving party and Valentine's, but also snow day, kidchella, Holi festival of color, etc. Really cute to break up their routine with fun events. And you actually get to see whole albums of pics of how much fun they had! - The teachers all greet me with a smile and often an update on how my child's day was (unprompted). They show genuine care and connection which I appreciate so much given that we leave our most precious asset in their hands for 10 hours a day. - Smocks during messy play!! - Kids are well adjusted to structure and have a seamless transition to school once they graduate. I don't have the words to express how grateful I am for our experience at Beach Babies. I will do my best to break it down into relatable categories: Price: Honestly very fair. They provide snacks like twice a day along with a going-home snack (Good snacks like Pirate's Booty, Fig Bars, Yoggies, sauce pouches) Breakfast, Lunch, Diapers, Wipes, Sunscreen, arts & crafts at no extra charge. Teacher-student ratio is pretty good. You can also drop your kids off as early as 7am and pick them up as late as 6pm. Parking: Couldn't be easier. I have never been in a situation where I was stuck waiting for a spot or having to circle the parking lot. The layout makes it pretty impossible to speed too so even if your child elopes, their safety isn't really at risk. Facility: Very very clean. Always decorated. Playground has super tall fences. Outdoor area is very well kept. Tons of themed events, and fairly regular "parking-lot" events. Security: Keypad entry for the vestibule. Biometric kiosk for main entrance. Front desk staff is vigilant of everyone who comes and goes. Front Desk Staff/Management: Some of the sweetest people I've ever met. They ALWAYS greet you and are supremely helpful and informative. You get the sense that they really care for you and your baby's well-being. In every situation I've been in, they've always gone out of their way to help me out and return missed phone calls. Teachers: Our daughter's teachers will always have a special place in our hearts. They showed her so much patience and love that you would think she was one of their relatives. They have a permanent smile and delightful demeanor and never seem stressed out by the gaggle of toddlers running around them. We recently had to make a hard choice to move our daughter to the school district to accommodate circumstances of special needs education. Leaving Beach Babies was very sad for us especially now that we have something to compare it to. It was an incredible experience and we feel truly grateful for the privilege of being able to send our daughter there. read more

Beach Babies is AMAZING! We sent our daughter here for almost three years and have nothing but good things to say. We had initially decided on a local Montessori preschool, but when the pandemic hit, our priorities changed and we wanted a school that was staying open but taking appropriate precautions on COVID. On that note, the facility is extremely safe with self-locking doors, keypads, cameras, and walled-in playground. We ended up at Beach Babies and we are so thankful it worked out that way. The staff at Beach Babies are incredible. Our daughter started preschool later than a lot of her peers so wasn't used to the structure of a classroom (her first week, she just wandered around and wouldn't eat or nap). The teachers were endlessly patient and we got such a sweet little email from one of the teachers celebrating the first time she ate breakfast! Ms. Ashley in the front office was always proactive in answering questions or addressing concerns. All the teachers are great, but especially the lead teachers. One of our daughter's favorite teachers was Ms. Chris, who taught the 4-5yo but knew her name several years before she even came to that class. In fact, within a year every teacher in the building knew her name. It's a small but wonderful community. Beach Babies has a strong curriculum and our daughter came home every day excited to talk about the activities. In the upper classes they do monthly homework packets, which was good prep for kindergarten. Our daughter was admitted to an elite private school here in LA, and we believe Beach Babies prepared her for the competitive admissions process for private schools in LA. We have heard great things about all BB locations, but BB5 holds a special place in our heart for all the memories we created and relationships we built over the years. Today I went in for a tour and I really enjoyed how welcoming I felt. It was such a nice and informative experience.

Beach babies is incredible. My child was in their Sand Dollar classroom and started at 4 1/2 months and they made the transitions so easy for me and also for him. After just a few days I saw how much they cared for him and that made me feel so confident in their ability. All of the caregivers are so loving and I could see the connection they made with my infant. They do an awesome assortment of arts and crafts every day and you get to go home with them, which is really fun. All of the caregivers are trained in CPR and are highly capable. The facility also has great security, even though it is located in a very nice neighborhood. The front desk staff and management is also incredibly friendly. I highly recommend Beach babies. read more

I wouldn't trust my dog with them. My baby came home with bruises on both arms after two days of attending. I got curious as to why and how. One day during pickup I was a bit early and the kids were still outside and you can see them from the pickup area. If I didn't see it w my own eyes I wouldn't have believed it. Ms.Nancy one of the teachers grabbed the kids forcefully by arm and pulled them bc they were not listening. These are 2-4yr kids!!!! She was very rough w the kids. And the whole time the other two teachers were on their phone not paying attention whatsoever. After that day I took my kid out and never looked back. Do not recommend it. read more

The pandemic made every decision about childcare exponentially more difficult. The extra precautions that Beach Babies 5 took to assure a safe environment for everyone was beyond expectations. All teachers and staff are vaccinated. All teachers and staff wear masks. Any adult entering the building needs to show proof of vaccination and wear a mask. Any child with symptoms needs to show proof of negative covid pcr test before returning to school. We were promptly notified of any positive cases in the center. I sincerely believe that these precautions are what protected our child during these unprecedented times. Besides the covid precautions, Beach Babies 5 was excellent. They communicated clearly withs us on how our child was progressing, communicating, and doing throughout the day. Any accidental bumps or scraps were reported to us promptly and explained by the staff. All of his allergies were addressed appropriately. Above all, the staff and teachers are friendly and kind people that cared about my child. I'm incredibly thankful for them and their diligence throughout the pandemic to welcome my child with a huge smile and kind voice. I will always have a ton of goodwill for Beach Babies 5. Our son started going there when he was 2.5 yrs old and will be ending his time there this month - just after his 5th birthday. From the beginning, it was obvious that everyone at BB5 takes the responsibility of caring for other people's kids very seriously. What I appreciated the most about this school, was the peace of mind I would get in knowing that he was in a place where competent people cared for him and his well being. The school is well managed - it's is clean, safe, the kids are stimulated, and taught well. We've seen the impact of the learning environment on our son's development and socialization. One thing I can share is that my son was hesitant to eat the food there. He's a picky eater, and not related to the school's food by any means. One of his teachers went above and beyond to work with him and get him comfortable enough to eat in this new environment. Very grateful for that teacher's commitment to my son's well being. We have interacted with teachers across three different class room and have found them all to be kind, detail oriented, and professional. Also, I was impressed with the diligence and order with which the school was managed during the pandemic... not an easy situation to navigate. You can't go wrong with this school. read more

The gold standard of preschools in the South Bay! The teachers are incredible, some of the most talented and caring educators I have ever seen. They take the time to really get to know each individual student and give lots of love. When my son had some behavioral issues come up, they took the time to help him learn and improve his coping skills, and helped us with tips on getting him through challenges. They were incredibly understanding of his individual needs. The academics are rigorous, and my son feels confident about going to kindergarten (and his new teacher is impressed). More importantly to me, the kids have plenty of outdoors and play time, with the opportunity to make friends. It may not be the best fit for every family who may need more flexibility, but the structure at BB worked for my son. Meals are provided and the hours are generous for working parents like us. It is on the pricy side (like all childcare in the area) but absolutely worth it. read more

Truly one of the best decisions we have made for our kiddos! Our son started at BB5 when they first opened in January 2019 and will soon be completing his final month as he moves on to Kindergarten while our daughter still has one more year to go. The whole team at BB5 has done an incredible job at creating a safe space where both of our children have felt safe and loved. The caregivers are top notch and do an incredible job of identifying each child's unique qualities so as to personalize their care and work with the kids. I have always had complete peace of mind that my kids are receiving an age-appropriate curriculum, well-balanced meals and so much love and care. And I love reading the daily notes in the app that detail what my kids did each day because it helps spark conversations at home. Logistically, the center's hours are great, the facility is clean, the safety precautions are excellent and the community is the absolute best! We love all of the families that we have had the opportunity to meet and get to know over these last few years and can honestly say that we hope to stay connected with them for a very long time. We had an amazing experience at Beach Babies 5! The entire staff was caring, attentive, and diligent. We were also surprised by our son's development so cheers to all the teachers. Obviously, the past few years were difficult with the pandemic, but we thought Beach Babies did a good a job as possible managing through it. Most importantly, our son loved going to school there every day and seemed to make great connections with his teachers and friends. Thanks to all for such a caring and positive experience. I highly recommend this school, I think the team here at BB5 is great! Find comfort in knowing your child will be safe at this school. This was my daughter's first time attending a daycare, so I was very nervous in the beginning, but ultimately our experience turned out to be great. I always felt my child was well taken cared of. I also always felt heard & respected by the staff, which is super important, they are very responsive and quick to address any potential concerns. Very flexible drop offs/pick ups. Great guidelines set in place to keep the children safe. I felt the facility was very secure. They also provide you with updates throughout the day on what the children are doing in the classroom. Our years with Beach Babies as a family have been truly memorable. We continue to be eternally grateful that we were able to get our child into the Goldfish program at Beach Babies 4 to start! Then to have them be a part of Beach Babies 5 and the inaugural kindergarten school program (go Sharks!) was a lifeline, exciting and a phenomenal opportunity, especially during covid. For consisent, reliable daycare then preschool 5 days a week, 7am to 6pm, YEAR ROUND (*no shopping for summer camps*) including organic meals and enrichment programs, there is no better value and place than Beach Babies. The high level of education, retention of qualified and loving staff/teachers (all vaxxed), and standard of childcare Beach Babies is able to successfully provide, year after year (in multiple locations no less), is truly remarkable in the lives of the students and support for working families. I can't rave more about BB5. My oldest and youngest daughter both were fortunate to get in with their high in-demand waitlist. The facility is immaculate, the security is top-notch, and the caregivers love all the kids so much; There's nothing more I could ask for in a daycare for our most treasured little beings. I was also impressed to see the same caregivers from when my oldest daughter attended 3 years ago and to now have them caring for my youngest. The Entire Beach Babies Day Care System through K is excellent and is worth the investment. Given the challenging environment we have all experienced over the last 18 months - Beach Babies answered the need for in person instruction with a Private Kindergarten which was well received by parents. We hope to use again for our next addition. Pre Covid entertainment was available on weekends with a great set of supportive parents and staff. My child is leaving there with a positive attitude to learning and we keep our employers happy. Any drawbacks? No not really. Arrive early for optimal parking and homework for a 5 year old is reasonable and active enough. Go BB! We tremendously enjoyed BB 3 and 5! Thank you! read more
