Wow wow & wow I'm literally in shock. As a family searching for a car for our 18 year old daughter…read morewe literally don't understand why this happened with this car place and it was either their owner or manager. We are assuming it was the owner based on how he took over and talked so disrespectful to the worker and my husband. We went in this place to test drive a Lexus my daughter absolutely loved for a reasonable price. The car deal ship guy was totally normal and friendly. My husband and him spoke regarding the car and we left to talk about it. He was professional and answered all questions. Then the most ridiculous out of line incident happened the next day we went back to discuss pricing, and the typical back and fourth conversation you would have buying a car. Like I said this isn't about the worker it's about the owner/manager who came into the room while my husband was discussing everything with the sales guy. He barged in a berated his worker, shut him down, told him not to speak and basically questioned If my husband "can afford a Lexus" that was an older but reasonable starter car for our daughter. He rejected how the sales guy was going about everything. The owner started arguing with my husband and shouting at him saying "you gata prove you can even buy this car" He totally out of line and aggressive we are taken back and so confused. His worker, sales guy tried to intervene but his boss raised his hand at him to shut him down. Idk if it made him angry that they were discussing price or what happened?? My husband of course got up out of his seat and told him he don't need to prove anything to him or buy his car. That he has his own financing through our bank but instead he would rather go somewhere else if that's the way he's going treat him. That he was being so rude and it was unnecessary. Basically it was awful experience especially kinda killed the whole thing for our daughter which this was going be her very first time buying a car. It was literally a horrible experience and I was of course so pissed. Don't go there they don't deserve any business whatsoever. Ultimately we found a great little Mazda for her and had awesome experience at another local car shop. We made the deal and walked away being treated very well and gave them amazing professional review as they deserve. Idk what this was this place but honestly I feel really bad for this car sales man who works for this horrible guy. Please leave you don't deserve to be treated like a slave. Future people don't take your business here. As stressful as car shopping is or any large purchase can be go where you are respected and valued. Take your money to people who work hard and deserve it!!! Go to National City Auto Center!!! They are great at what they do and make the process simple and less stressful as possible. Wash is so so and then of course now you are paying slightly less but putting in a lot more work than having someone else dry and wipe it down for you. Additionally, the WORST thing about this place are the pushy sales reps at the front gate (and btw, I work in sales). I very politely asked to handle my own transaction and credit card at the kiosk and pulled in as close as I could to avoid her trying to "help". When I respectfully asked this with a very sweet please I was met with a very rude response. I understand your need to make sales for money, but if you need to be rude and pushy, it will backfire. It seems it has according to the reviews as this used to be one of the best rated car washes in the area. Not anymore. I want to add: denying a customer the ability to handle their own card at a self-serve kiosk heavily violates major credit card network rules and opens the merchant up to fraud liabilities. They know this. Forcing an employee to take your card and swipe or insert it on a device intended for self-service goes against standard terminal merchant compliance. You don't have to hand your card over to any attendant, as a consumer you have right to leave and not proceed with a sale. Point blank - you can ask the attendant politely to handle your own transaction and credit card and they should honor this, without a dose of guilt or rudeness.
