I was charged $600 at the time of my initial visit and was told that a future (second) visit was included... $300 for the first and $300 for the next visit. At the time I thought that practice was odd but I didn't complain, expecting to return at a later date. After several cancellations due to personal conflicts and after researching alternative practices and processes, I decided to go in a different (and what I believe is a better direction) to address my health concerns. When I called to request a credit, I was put on hold, the call dropped, I called back and was transferred to another employee only to find out that there was a different understanding of the credit to be provided. After about an hour, I received a callback from Shane the Business Manager about my request. He indicated that I would only be receiving a $200 credit, not $300 as I expected. After much discussion, he indicated that the $200 credit was final and he would issue a check. I told him I did not agree with this decision and explained that I would be providing a review/ complaint about this business practice. I recommended that the staff should explain this business practice with patients before receiving care so this practice it is clearly understood.

He stripped my fascia and gave me targeted trigger point massage, and I was stunned to be able to hop off of the table with very little lingering pain. He taught me physical techniques to continue reducing pain on my own, as well as healing my inflammation with better diet. I've found both Dr. Blatman and the team of assistants receptive to thoughtfully answering questions and giving guidance. My experience has been a pain healing solution, and I solidly recommend this clinic.

Then at the procedure the doctor changes his mind. No one ever said what the details and expectations would entail. From Edie at the front office to discharge I was well cared. Since joining the practice I haven't seen the actual doctor once. I see different NPs at every visit because he is such a horrible person to work for, they all leave the practice. Every appointment they tell me they need to reduce my meds because Dr. Danko is concerned the government is going to track him. This man doesn't want to see you if you won't let him do a surgical or in office procedure. It's all about money with him. The buildings are either suffocatingly hot or freezing in the winter because his wife controls the thermostats from her phone. You can't reach anyone by phone because it hangs up on you after a busy message. You can't question anything because he kicks you out of the practice. Doctors took an oath to cure or assist people. I can't be cured I can only be medicated to reduce the pain until I die. This is exactly what Dr Danko told me on my first appointment, that he could NOT cure me but he would keep me comfortable until death. He doesn't even come close to keeping me comfortable. My PCP advised me to ask for suboxone to assist with the pain because it is proven to help. I asked the NP and she said and I quote; "You need to fake a drug addiction to get into a methadone clinic". I did NOT ask for methadone and I really was only asking about the suboxone because my PCP told me to. I have reported Dr Danko and all of his NPs to the state board. I would suggest you find an alternate pain management practice because if you don't want to go under his knife, you aren't given a second thought.

Crescent Women's is now owned by UC Health. As I am part of that healthcare system I was referred…read morehere to Dr Hansel by my primary care for a second opinion. I had to schedule the appt through central scheduling as opposed to speaking to the office itself. They were nice enough to put me on a cancelation list and I was contacted through my UC health online quite promptly with a sooner opening. When I arrived I was really impressed by the front office staff who went above and beyond to be helpful and friendly. As I was the first appt of the afternoon, I was called back right away. I checked in with a nurse as is standard and was then moved to a consultation room to talk with the Dr. When she came in it seemed she had done a decent job of reviewing my chart ahead of time. She took quite a bit of time to speak with me, never making me feel rushed or shorted and always making sure I had no further questions. My issue with this visit first of all was this Dr has a VERY strong opinion on things, some of which are very incorrect. She told me I should've grown out of my PCOS by now (which is very medically incorrect and not a thing that happens). She also recommended an IUD that would make PCOS worse not better, and with no pain management or sedation for placement which is highly disturbing. Lastly, I was later charged a TON more for the visit due to time (beware UC is really bad about this now) and she ran costly tests without my permission that were unnecessary. While it seemed like the customer service here was great, the medical things left me feeling quite angry. Cannot recommend.

Crescent Women's was my version of "Cheers" - where I could call and say "It's Marti..." and have every assurance that my needs would be handled with kindness, compassion & humor, if warranted. The only two times I was referred to a different practitioner's office was 1)when I was pregnant with our son & very high-risk (The Seton Center & Good Samaritan high-risk & NICU wards are STILL the best of the best!). 2) a fertility specialist who was as shocked as we were to learn that I was spontaneously pregnant. Our son is now 15, has my mouth & 'tude and we repeatedly remind ourselves that he's a miracle. He's also a 15 YO male - ewww! Chandra and co. have ALWAYS taken loving care of my family & me as we've gone through multiple heartbreaks and joys alike. Crescent Women's & Dr. Gravely are worth the flight back to Cincinnati! After 4 decades our family has relocated out of state. My uterus & vagina are worth the travel as is Chandra Gravely & Crescent Women's Medical Group.

We scheduled the appointment for Jan 20,2021. The appointment went well, the procedure was fully explained and my SO elected to have the viscous procedure (viscous fluid injected into his knee joint). The consultant said that it would take 7-10 days to get approval from Medicare and my SO's supplemental insurance company. We were told we would be notified of approval. We stressed the desire to get the procedure as quickly as possible due to the amount of pain my SO is suffering. We had not heard anything by the 3rd of February so I called. I got the call center. The young lady said she would send an email requesting that someone call me. No one called so I called again on the 5th of February. Same thing, she sent an email, and still no one called. I called again on the 8th of February. I told the young man, again, at the call center, that I was becoming concerned about the quality of care my SO will receive if no one could even return a phone call. I told him that if they were having problems with getting the approval, maybe we could help and to please get someone to return my call. He sent an email. No one called. By this time my SO was angry. He called on February 9th. On February 10th, someone called me at work but I was with a patient and could not take the call. I returned the call within 3 minutes, no one answered. I left a message. Today is the 11th and no call. In the mean time we made an appointment with Beacon Orthopedics. They do the same procedure. In 3 days, we got an appointment and consultation, had approval and an MRI scheduled to rule out meniscus tear. The entire process has taken only three days. If there is no tear, Beacon will proceed with the viscous injection procedure next week. I do not recommend Arthritis Knee Pain Center.
