Let's start with positives- nice building, exposed brick, updated equipment. Negatives- expensive for what they offer - $89/mo, tried to charge more as supposed to through my credit card, had to block. Advertise month-to-month membership but charge extra month. I tried to renew membership temporary for a summer (moving to Illinois) but they tried to charge all the extra months between now and time I canceled membership. Unbelievable. One of the worst experiences in the gym world. The best idea? To buy a treadmill at home and attend Pilates or Yoga elsewhere. read more

The facility at Be is great and the staff is fantastic. I've done two stints here over the years and Be is the nicest place in lake country if you don't mind the lack of a pool. That said, the problem with working out here is largely the clientele. Every gym has the imbecilic guys in the weight room who think that grunting and dropping heavy weights onto the floor somehow improves muscle tone--but Be also has a large contingent of local high school kids whose presence crowds the very small weight area to the point of making it unusable for long periods of time. Pros: -Be is always clean -The equipment is generally in good working order -The staff is courteous, professional, and knowledgeable -The basic membership is under $50/month Cons: -The lower rates have attracted "less than desirable" clientele -Large portions of the upstairs are underutilized, while the small weight room is jam-packed -The locker room is tiny -The parking lot is shared with the Delafield Hotel, Andrew's Restaurant, and a dance school--the soccer moms who pick up their daughters from dance class park willy-nilly, many of them are rude, obnoxious, and impervious when it comes to parking etiquette read more

Let's start with the positive, Be Fitness is located in a beautiful building with a fair amount of new equipment. It is also located in a safe neighborhood, I would say that one would hardly have to worry about locking her car. I am a university student and during my winter and summer breaks I have come home to use the Be Fitness facilities. For the first two years of my membership, I had received a student discount from Be Fitness. In May of 2015 I return home to Wisconsin and eagerly drove over to Be to renew my membership. I was told only after registering that they had discontinued the discounted student membership and that they had also raised the price of a standard membership... Great. With the prices now through the roof for a standard membership, I dug deep to pay my dues (I'm an impoverished student, remember). & with that, I entered the fitness center expecting to see great improvements in either their staffing, equipment, classes offered, or ANYTHING AT ALL. What I found instead was that nothing had changed. If anything they had gotten rid of a few coaches or at least cut their hours. What you'll find if you make the terrible decision to purchase a membership from Be Fitness is that you'll be wanting to terminate your membership sometime soon. When you finally make that decision, only then will the staff inform you of what was written in the fine print of the contract that you signed upon registering. "You must pay for an additional month of membership from the day that you've requested a cancelation," is what they'll say. AND if you make the mistake of canceling your membership in the middle of the month, say June 15th, you'll have to pay for the remaining days in June AND you'll also have to pay for the entire month of July before you're unshackled. I imagine that marriage divorce proceedings are painfully comparable to the process of divorcing Be Fitness. read more

I stayed at the Delafield next door and got to come here for free. I loved the yoga and Pilates classes. I also love the steam and the sauna in the locker rooms. This center was VERY clean and they offer so much in this space. It's so big and they really put it all to good use. read more

I was a member for about 1 1/2 years. Though I thought the fee of $47 per month was pricey compared to other clubs, the proximity to my home made it most convenient. I used the club in the early morning, when they opened at 5:00 am so really can't comment on how busy it is to use. In early December of 2014, I gave notice I would be ending my membership. I was told, "There is a 30 day cancellation policy so you will be charged for January." How ridiculous is a 30 day cancellation policy for a health club. I have been a member of country clubs around the country and none have a 30 day cancellation policy. Be Fitness does this for one reason; to make an additional months fee. Fortunately, I had to cancel my credit card that was on record due to it being hacked, thus Be Fitness has not been paid. At the time of this writing, it is mid March and they have harassed me for payment via phone calls, letters and emails. All for $47 which they rendered no service. If you are considering joining, make sure to cross out the 30 day cancellation policy which I am sure was in small print and was never presented to me. read more

I'm in town for a few days and love this gym. $20 day pass fee. Great equipment. Good class selection if you like classes.

Love everything about be Fitness; but profoundly the group ex team is amazing!!!! Highly recommend this state of the art facility.

Newly renovated and under new management, this is the place to BE! Check it out with a free 3 day pass and stay because of the gorgeous facility and amazing class offerings! read more

I love Be Fitness. I have been a member for 7 years. The staff is super friendly. The members are laid back. No dressing up and getting made up to workout. Just people who care about health and fitness. I love that I never have to wait for a machine. And they have a great variety of classes to choose from. It's where I go to get happy! read more

Old equipment; under qualified Trainers with high turn over and unfriendly members. Save your time & money by choosing another gym.

This gym is AMAZING! I've been a member for over a year and in the last six months they have completely redone the whole building. It's absolutely gorgeous, the machines are all brand new, the locker rooms are always clean, and all of the employees are extremely helpful and friendly! The price is so low for everything you get, especially if you choose to take classes and/or use the free daycare center! Come check it out! read more

The Pilates at this facility is not very good. It's a very "gym style pilates" which is not at all how pilates should be. I didn't feel the hands on experience I would have received at a studio that focuses around pilates. Although the facility looks very nice I could recommend some much better places for pilates!! read more

Was a member for a few years and recently quit. Mainly used the group fitness program. The locker room usually was pretty clean. The gym was usually empty. Either I was the only one in the entire building or there were a bunch of kids and typical gym rats plus a few executive types. Group fitness classes used to be a lot better. Instructors are motivating, but class sizes are small (like 1-2 people). Body Pump classes were held in a gym - with NO MIRRORS. Gym floor was very dirty - from all the kids' street shoes who would shoot hoops before class. Group Fitness equipment in pretty rough shape, too. Their procedure for "disinfecting" the mats is...water. Gross & no wonder why countless instructors would be sick there (and teaching while they were sick). Be provides a revolving door for employees, too. No longevity there. I have seen dozens of high quality trainers and instructors come and go. No one seems to want to work there for too long. That says something about the management - or mismanagement. Many times the person who was supposed to open the doors in the morning would be late. The facility is in a great location, but there are much better places in Lake Country. NOT RECOMMENDED! read more
