I am not one for leaving reviews. Living in Hudson, I have limited options for buying top quality…read moreyarn. I have been here several times and have always found the service less than impressive but with limited options, I accept it. My daughter and her mother in law went there and had a similar experience so I feel the need to share the experiences I have had MULTIPLE times. This store is much more focused on its students who attend the classes than your average customer. The general impression is that customers are a nuisance to them. If you ask a question, their answers are abrupt with no follow up. I've asked for assistance with selecting the proper yarn weight and learned to look it up rather than ask. It just isn't a pleasant place to be. If you need yarn, go but if you're traveling don't bother. Order from an online store. It's what I've started to do.

While shopping, another guest asked the cashier about if any weaving classes were available in the near future but the only response was a grunted "no." Seems like a friendlier response was warranted so I stopped the shopper on her way out to tell her & her daughter about "A Place to Weave" in Fitchburg, MA. My point is, isn't the Worcester Center for Crafts mission to support the craft community? It isn't hard to do and a friendly word goes a long way.

Glassblowing was very interesting but too hard for me. I'm really glad I took it for the experience and I would probably do it over again just to try it out. It requires a lot of coordination, so if you are as klutzy as me, you might find it too difficult too. As described in their catalog, flamework is: Tthe process of shaping glass rods and tubes into small objects over the flame of a torch. Begin by making beads, pendants and marbles to establish a foundation of technique. As the class progresses, projects will advance to include the creation of solid sculpture and hollow forms such as flowers, holiday ornaments, and perfume bottles. Small class sizes and one-on-one instruction allow students to work at their own pace. I love this class and the instructor, Jake Vincent, is patient and a great teacher. You don't have to be quite as coordinated to do flamework. In addition to glass classes, they have classes in clay, metal, fiber, photography, wood, and design and multimedia. They have a gallery too. I haven't been yet, because the glass studio is in a separate area of Worcester. I've heard its great and intend to go soon. I'll update this post when I get there. I stopped into CC Lowell in hopes of finding a unique card and decorative paper. Within the first five minutes of being in the store, I'd found exactly what I needed - leaving me with a few extra minutes of browsing time. -First and foremost, they carry interesting and unique greeting cards. The selection could be larger, but what they do have is great! -If you need art supplies, this is your place. They have a great selection and several options in each fine art category. Also, don't forget to check out the display of historical art supplies in the back of the shop!! -Upon entering the store, there is an awesome table full of small gift items. If you are looking for a quick, unique gift, CC Lowell does not disappoint in this department. -The staff is pleasant and helpful - making an already great shopping experience even better. Called because it was over a week and I hadn't received a call that my item was ready for pick up,…read morebut my friend who painted with me got a text days before that hers was ready. I reached out to the studio and they told me my item was there... not sure what or how they were planning to get in contact with me. At the visit I left my name, my number, a description of my item and noted I painted my initials on the bottom of the item - wrote all of this down on the little scrap paper they gave me to write my info. I'm guessing they lost it.... I go to try and pick up my item today, sign says closed 7/18... it's 7/17, no mention on the phone when I called yesterday or on their social media page(s) that they would be closed due. Frustrating to say the least. Items available to paint upon arriving for the visit were sparse so overall, all of these things combined, it was not worth the hassle.

Having done business with Cre8 on three occasions I can solidly recommend against using their…read moreservices or even walking in the door. This is a local business and although it's easy enough to use a remote or online vendor, I figured we'd keep our company's purchases close to home. Unfortunately, the business is run poorly and the output is marginal at best. When the owner is not in the shop the employees cannot answer questions about pricing or capabilities of the machines. Even with the owner in the shop the employees are ill informed. On the most recent visit someone told me that a device I brought in could not be etched right in front of the owner, who then said it could be done. I was told that my piece would be ready the next day but I never received a call or email, as promised. A email arrived late , the etching was weak and when I said I wasn't crazy about how it looked the owner said, "well I think it looks good." Our prior experience was with a much larger order and the quality was poor and the process was painful. Our business partner (a large bank) also commented to us how unprofessional the business was and recommended never using them again...even before viewing the work, which they (and we) considered sub-par. Lastly, I know two other people in our community that have had negative experiences with either work done by Cre8 or with some aspect of the people or process.

I've really been debating leaving this review because I did enjoy the painting (for the most part)…read more We (my husband and I) went for the very first time a couple weeks ago to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We made reservations ahead of time and when we got there they were assigning tables to sit at. We got shown out table and then we got moved. We were shown the other places to sit so we started looking for the pieces we were going to paint. We returned to the table and another lady started telling us to move again, we would be better off sitting somewhere else. So now we've been moved twice and we end up at a table with little kids who have zero interest in painting. They are on their phones and pushing/knocking the table and my husband and I are having to stop continuously so our painting doesn't get messed up (it did when the kid hit the table and we needed assistance fixing the piece-and we complained at that time). I should note-when we first arrived we told them we were celebrating our anniversary (they asked) and we were told "oh, you need to do a tile!." We didn't think anything of it at that time. When we were almost finished painting the plate we had picked out, a tile was brought over to us. We never asked for it and honestly forgot all about it. It was given to us and we were told to enjoy it. We finally finished the plate and tile so we brought them up to the front. There, we were charged for the tile we never asked for and to be perfectly honest had zero interest in doing - we didn't even put much effort into painting it because at that point we wanted to get out of there. The girl checking us out had no desire to follow up on it so we left, mad. I was told "give us 2 weeks" for the pieces to be ready. No other instructions. So I go yesterday to pick up the pieces -2 weeks and 3 days later. I walk in and tell the desk I'm here to pick them up. "Did you call first?" Ummmm, no, I wasn't told to do that and it's been longer than the 2 weeks. Then she can't find my stuff in the computer, both by phone # and name. I tell her the date we were there and she has to go find the actual paper slip. Then she can't find the pieces and there are now 2 people looking for the items. They finally find them after about 10 minutes of me standing stupidly at the front. Did I enjoy the actual painting? Yes Did I enjoy the overall experience? No Was the customer service good? Not great Will we go back? Probably not, I might give them a 2nd try by my husband will definitely not.

They are also unbeatable in prices and way more reasonable than any other crochet business I have seen!! They even handmake all there stuff without the use of machines or other equipment just a hook and yarn! The owner (daughter) Denise is very nice and she gave out free complimentary lolipops to anyone who wanted one And the sign is so cool it has scannable QR codes on it that take you right to their Facebook and Instagram Definately going to make them my #1 go to for buying cool stuff and gifts

Two stars because the women that runs this place is very nice…read more However, it is just a single small room in a house (I'd guess 11x11). And even that space wasn't crammed with inventory. The place was way to bright and well lit and poorly decorated for an occult shop and even though they had a couple of adorable kitties, the smell of the kitty litter from wherever it was kept (it's wasn't the room that was the shop). Was overpowering, even with all the incense and candles about. But again, the owner/manager is very nice. Also, their website seems to be better stocked and reasonably priced (I only glanced at it.)
