(I was aware that due to my father's fractured hip at the age of 89 that he only had a 17% to 33% chance of living.) He continued to stay at Baywind but was taken care of by Village Home Health and Hospice. The entire staff is professional, knowledgeable, curtious, compassionate, and extremely kind-hearted. They were incredible in the last 5 days of my father's life. They took exceptional care of him and let him pass away with the utmost respect and dignity. I stayed with my father every day for 12 to 14 hours a day. I always discussed with Rose what I saw my father going through each day so his medications could be adjusted accordingly. I personally want to thank Rose for always being upfront and honest with me regarding the status of my father's failing health in his last days. I always wanted the truth, and I respect Rose very much for never sugar coating it. On the last day, I knew my father only had a few hours left, so I went home to be with my brother's. I knew my father would not pass away in front of his only daughter. So, I allowed him to pass away on his own terms and when he was ready. Loosing my father, who was my best friend, is the absolute hardest thing I will ever have to endure in my life, but knowing that he was cared for by the very best gives me peace of mind. Thank you to everyone at Village Home Health and Hospice for taking such exceptional care of my father as well as my family. I highly recommend Village Home Health and Hospice for those who want their loved ones to receive the very best of care at the end.
