I can honestly not say enough wonderful things about BC Dance and what this studio has done for my daughter. She did not start in life as a natural dancer and struggled with basic rhythm & coordination, but she loved the art of dance and it was her passion. We had tried other studios before BC, and were told she was not good enough. BC was our last chance of making her dream come true. We met the staff and she auditioned. Cory the Director offered immediately to give her a chance, he said, "how else can she be great if we do not give her the opportunity?" 5 years later we are so thankful he took a chance on her and the entire staff really worked not only to build her dance skills, but also her self confidence. BC Dance is a special place where every child has a spot no matter what they look like or skill level is. The families at BC embrace each new dancer with open arms, as the students do too. We love and cheer for all our amazing kids, and have a BC Dance family that is truly a gift. My little girl, now 12 has reached goals she never thought was possible and now is amazing and inspiring little dancer all because someone took a chance on her. Our family has been a part of BC Dance for nearly 5 years and my two daughters absolutely adore the studio! It has literally become a deeply important part of our family! We are involved in the competition team, BC Academics school, and the pre-professional program. We had previously been to other studios and both my daughters say that BC Dance is the best instruction they have ever had! The teachers are committed and the training is exceptional! Both my girls have said the memories they have made at BC Dance are the happiest they have ever had - from NYCDA nationals in NYC to participating in the Disneyland parade to the YAGP ballet experience. Our recitals are absolutely exceptional, especially in ballet. The friendships and comradery among the parents and teachers have also been a very impactful part of our experience at the studio. The dancers are expected to be committed, punctual, and work hard but with that expectation has come so much reward... my girls have developed a strong work ethic, time management skills, responsibility, and a meaningful teamwork connection because of their experiences at BC Dance! I can't say enough about this amazing studio! I have 2 daughters who both dance on the BC Dance company and their experience has been exceptional. They have prepared my oldest for college dance auditions and programs. Which is no small feat when she entered with minimal training 5 years ago. Cory brings in high level master dance faculty and workshops to expose the kids to the expectations for the professional world. He has an exceptional resume and MFA with knowledge and expertise that many dance studios can't provide. I've watched as he has trained several dancers and successfully prepared them for summer intensives including Julliard, Hubbard Street, Alvin Ailey, Alonzo King Lines, Perry Mansfield and more. This year almost all of his graduating seniors will be attending premiere college programs like PACE, NYU, and Chapman studying dance. All in the 5 short years that he has been open. I have been with BC Dance since opening day and I can confidently say it is the reason I am who I am today. The instructors see potential in everyone who walks through the door and pushes them to be their best selves. I not only had the best dance training in Tucson, but I was taught life lessons that carried me into adult life. Some of my best friendships began at BC Dance and the relationships that form are life lasting. No one should be intimidated to start classes at BC Dance because the girls of all levels are welcoming and inspiring. There are classes for all ability and commitment levels. The recreational program Diamonds and Co is such a fun way for young kids to be a part of group with a low time commitment. The competitive team is the perfect balance of serious training and a fun creative atmosphere. If you are hesitant to try I 100% recommend going and trying a class. My 11 year old daughter has been dancing at BCD for almost three years now. She loved it right from the beginning and begged me to let her join the company. She has grown so much as a dancer since joining. We have found all of her instructors to be caring and attentive. The instructors and owner are approachable, kind, and encouraging. They work the dancers hard and help them reach their full potential. Dance can certainly be a pricey activity, but their fees and pricing seem on par with others in town. We tried a couple of other studios in the past, but BCD is the best fit for us. I regret trying out other places first to be honest. Love knowing that my kids are getting high quality instruction, mentorship and that Mr Cory is always working to help them make connections across the dance industry. My daughter thrives at BC Dance. She has grown so much since she came to BC in 2017. BC is a home away from home for us. The training here is professional and prepares children for the professional world of dance. During Covid BC gave my daughter a place to go to school and have a normal or as normal as it could be in 2020 school experience. The training and choreography are top notch but the body shaming, the unprofessional handling of situations, the poor communication, the clique-ish attitude, the favoritism, the unrelenting, gruelish demands all come with a price which in the long run can end up being very damaging to your child's mind, body, self-esteem and ultimately destroying their love of dance.
