After staying up all night in hopes of scoring my boys their dream Christmas gift on sale for Cyber Monday. Unfortunately, you all decided to put a fraud block on my card after spending a whopping $100 through Amazon (where I do 90% of my shopping so its hard to see why it was flagged as fraud). With supplies running low I called and reached Lilly who despite answering all of her identifying questions correctly, just didn't believe I was who I claimed. I told her that moments mattered but it made no impact. After harassing me rather than helping she provided zero information & gave me another number to call (could have saved 10 minutes if she had just refereed me to the proper department. Now I have been on hold for 40 minutes and the deal is sold out. This sale was the only chance I had to get my boys the gift they've asked for all year. Thank you so very much BBVA - you guys hit a new low today.
Since I am venting my BBVA issues I'd also like to add that this bank left me in a real jam during Harvey. I contacted Joel Beeson at least 3 weeks prior to the hurricane to get a replacement card. I was told it would arrive "the day after tomorrow". 3 weeks & 4 phone calls later there was still no card. I called again on the day they closed for Harvey & asked again "where is my card"? I got pretty much the same answer. At this point I'd had zero access to my money for weeks (ridiculous) & was now going into a major natural disaster with no access to funds. He kindly offered that I should come to the bank & get cash but( oh by the way) we are closing in 20 minutes. It was another week before the card finally came.
Between these two experiences, I am looking for a new bank. read more
