And of course only disclosed the scam fee right before handing over the cash. My daughter told me on the way home that's 2 hours of my work they took in 5 minutes. I told her she learned at a young age not to do business with that bank.

If the appearance doesn't make you feel like you are stepping back in time, the customer service will. On this day (Monday 4/4/16) I was helped by Maria C. All I can say is fantastic experience and missions accomplished. Thank you! Bottom line: It really is, "Your hometown bank." PS. While lobby hours are a little short (anyone remember "banker hours"), the "Motor Bank" has extended and Saturday hours. Everything was good until I opened a merchant account to accept credit card payments for my business. Chase Bank said they needed more information, go to your local branch office, which I did. Before I left, I asked if that was everything they needed. YES, that is all. Two weeks later, my account is locked. For the next two days my banker worked to find out what they wanted to get my account back. For every question we answered, they later came back with another question. If I had known exactly what they wanted when I first came in, we would not have had this problem. Communication is a problem at Chase Bank.

I had an incident (sometime between 2016-19) where I was scammed through my Prosperity checking account in Liberty Hill and the Prosperity folks there were helpful.. but I still owed the amount of money I was scammed. So I visited the Prosperity Bank here in Granbury. I explained the incident to the Account manager here and told her I was ready to pay that amount of $$ up, and possibly open a new account. She said she'd double-check the amount I owed off the scam, and "get back to me within a day or 2." She took down my phone number and had my e-mail account. Well, today is 8/11 and it's been OVER 2 weeks since she said she'd get back to me. What a shame. Maybe I'll visit the branch here sometime and get the account evened up... but I'm REALLY disappointed with the lack of follow up, especially since I had such good service and karma with the Liberty Hill office years ago.

They told my boyfriend it was free to open an account, but failed to inform him of all the hidden…read morefees. It is only $1 to open the account, but don't let that fool you. You must maintain 100 dollars in your account or you are charged a monthly maintenance fee. If you are over in your account for 7 days, they will charge you $34 on top of all your overages or NSF charges you already have. They also have service fees you have to ask the bank about in person. You must have 8 transactions per statement. If not, they will put a hold on your account. Also, once you open it, if you would like to close it, you will be charged a $25 fee within the first 6 months of opening the account. It is an EECU bank and not FDIC. Please research this bank before choosing to go with them. Needless to say, after he opened the account, and I read the ridiculous rules and fees, he has closed it the same day it was opened. I have had friends that have also had this issue! BEWARE!

WHAT KINDA BANK DOES THIS...operating w 2 tellers on a good day anyway...nobody ever at customer svc or new accts...GUESS THEY ARE FIXING TO SHUT DOWN...will be looking for another bank....how hard is it to keep one teller in the window for people that dont get off work till 5....
