Best nail salon in the valley! I have been coming here since 2015 and have never left complaining about my nails. I love their customer service. The folks here always greet me and attend to my needs right away. Other places will leave you standing there like an idiot but BB nails pays attention to their customers. If for whatever reason you are not satisfied, the owners will fix it for you because they care about their clients. They use to give discounts and coupons before covid happened so hopefully they will bring those sales back.Sometimes I'd get 20% off my service during weekdays from 10am to 3pm. I scheduled two Signature Pedicures one day prior at 3:30 pm. I received a text confirming a 4:30 appointment. I called to explain the mistake and was told 3:30 was unavailable. No problem 4:30 is fine. I arrived at 4:15 because I don't like to be late. When it got to be 5:00pm with no chance to get started until 5:30 my 83 year old mother and I left. The staff seemed to think it was funny that we were leaving. Poor experience. This clearly is a business not concerned with their customers or making money. Amazing in this day and age that you can be polite to schedule appointments and the staff so unappreciative of their customers or jobs. Go somewhere else to have a relaxing experience. read more

I've been getting my nails done here for the last few months. I religiously go with Nudo and Anna as my nail techs. Nudo does an amazing job on my nails and Anna gives the best pedicures. The salon is always very clean and it's a relaxing atmosphere. They always offer water or wine depending on the time. I've been looking for a new nail salon since I moved to McAllen, TX from the Bay Area. It's a bit out of my way, but definitely worth it!! Iris who did my toes did a really great job. So happy with how good it turned out. Tiffany who did my nails did amazing. I was interested to try their Organic Powder Dip manicure in lieu of getting my regular gel manicure. No idea what it was but had heard several coworkers talking about it. So glad I tried it cause I think it looks just as good as gels but less chemically. (Maybe even better!) I was new to the mission/McAllen area and had been to 2 other salons before and was disappointment by the environment and services, but not at BB Nails. They have a very updated and clean salon. He was so kind and did an amazing job with my pedicure. Once he finished I went over to Michelle and she did an amazing job with my pedicure as well. Obviously, ever since the new owners took over all they seem to do or want to do is that "dipping". The regular place I go to was closed so decided to try once more see if maybe they could fix my 2 broken nails. After a long long discussion of how I should do dipping when I refuse to dipping period all I wanted was for them to fix my two broken nails with a simple acrylic overlay how hard is that. Change the color, fix the two nails. I arrived at 5:30 and ended up leaving at 7!!!!!! For two nails yes unbelievable!! I arrived and shortly after someone else arrived they helped her before me, which was very rude. Just because you are choosing a color doesn't mean you can let someone else go infront of you! The 1st time I decided to stop going was when I went to go get shellac on my own nails and pedicure shellac. They also took forever, the girls who are there or were there before didn't have a license they had just graduated from highschool and finishing their hours for license. They did an okay job but once the guy who did my toes with the shellac after I insisted they were not dry he insisted they were. They were not I got home shellac (red shellac) all over the place in my bed in my shoes in my socks and no I couldn't take it off!!!! Anyways today was the main reason I decided to write this, they really made me feel bad I literally felt so bad I didn't say a word anymore I tried to tell them both the little lady named Emma and the guy sitting st the 1st booth, I do not want dipping all I want is for you to fix the two nails change the color. Again they went on and on abouthow it's better how I should just do the dipping it's the same price so on and so on, I do not care for your opinion all I wanted was two fixed nails fixed overlay acrylic that simple. This was the turn out of one and the other according to the man this is his way of even and same length and my other thumb. And for my index finger wowwwwwww just complete disappointment, so sad. For a whole bs 13$ I paid I don't even this the 13$ plus the hour and a half wait was even worth the whole disappointment I feel to think this was my most favorite place when yen was there! I have no clue what In the world they are doing and definitely need to take their clients into consideration a little bit more. The first time I stopped going was because of my undry shellac to my toes and I should have really considered just waiting until the place I usually go to was open they did the worst job ever and I was really bothered and hurt. I cannot even believe the audacity of This lady Emma to even tell me, "ok we won't push you!" Omggggggggg really?! Are you serious right now! Never going back that is for sure! I get my nails done pretty much every single month so I would say I could tell a good nail salon from a bad one. This salon claims to give a percentage of discount off of whatever service you decide to get, however they definitely do not. I do not see why they would advertise a percentage off if they do not want to give it. I got shellac which was 20 dollars (pretty pricy for something that took them no more than 15 minutes to do on me). I like the range of colors that they have and the girls who do pedicures are very sweet, but because of the false advertisement I will not return. I think that is very unprofessional. read more

Extremely disappointing experience. I made an appointment, still didnt get seen for 20 minutes past my appointment time! Then the girl finally comes and sits down & asks what i want. I told her I currently have gel polish on and that's what I usually get. Gel french tip nail. & this time I want a design with a 4 leaf clover since my birthday is coming up on St Patrick's day. I showed her pictures and she agreed. She convinced me to do dip powder instead of gel and said with everything together it would be $60. She took my gel off and started applying the dip powder. I asked when she was gonna work on my cuticles & then she said "Manicure not included" I'm paying $60 just for you to paint my nails??? That's ridiculous! Then she went to do the design and did a flower?? I specifically showed and asked for a clover. Then she said I dont know how to do that. So I said screw the design then. End price was $48, just for her to do a crap french tip dip powder. She didnt even put lotion on my hands. Worst nail experience I have ever had! read more

UPDATE: this nail salon is under new management. I have been a customer of this salon since it opened not only because it's close to home, but because the service was always great. However, under new management/ownership I have to say that my review has changed drastically. I've been here 4 times since then and today is my last. The service wasn't quality anymore. Last month the (female) owner was rude and told me " you just wasted 20 minutes sitting there doing it wrong" when my dip polish didn't come off my nail after soaking my fingers in acetone. Apparently, I was to blame for the "position of my hand"... which she herself placed in a bowl. I let it go since I know sometimes we are not our best versions of ourselves. But today I was charged $105 for a dip polish and shellac pedicure. I was never told the added charges. Nail technician never volunteered information about pricing or extra costs. I was sure to talk to them and say that extra charges should Have been told to me so I could make a decision of whether or not I wanted them. They apologized and said they 'forgot' to tell me, they'll tell me next time. this place is not what it once was. Learned my lesson, I'll find another place. If you are going to be a patron of this salon ( some nail techs really do a good job) just make sure to ask for a quote before they start the job. I decided to stop by this relatively new nail spa and was pleasantly surprised by what I found. The ambiance of this place is wonderful. Pedicure chairs are all aligned to the right of the building while the manicure tables are in front of them to the left. It's a very nice open concept. The colors, music and lighting contribute to the pleasant atmosphere. Everything looks very clean. They even have plastic linings for the foot soak in the pedicure chair! Tony, the manager (owner?) greeted me as soon as I walked in. When I chose my pedicure service I was offered wine or water to drink. This time I only tried the pedicure and I was very happy with the results. The young lady who took care of me was very patient and did a wonderful job. Next time I plan to use their spa services and try the facial as well. Price wise they are the same as others in the area, but the quality of the place and service is really worth it. Ok, so this place looks new and pretty and is fairly clean, but ..........the service is very lacking. I can honestly say that it is the worst place I've been to for a pedi. The girl that did my nails was sweet but did not paint my toenails correctly. When I got home an hour later, the polish was still wet! She obviously did not wait enough time between coats and really laid the polish on thick. The next morning, the polish on my toe nails was sticky and gummy. When I pressed to check, the polish squished out and left a huge indentation. I went back to the salon and this guy said he'd fix it but seemed to be in a pissy mood so I decided to just leave.
