i wanted to go here because the vibes seemed very welcoming, however i ended up with something…read more... far from my expectations. i understand that my asian hair is pretty dark so it might not have been able to lift very lightly but i wish i wasn't given that much hope to begin with. i was told not to schedule for a test strand but i figured it was okay and decided to trust the stylist. the back was processed for longer than the front resulting in more yellow strands towards the front of my face. the pictures included do not truly show how warm and yellowish my front pieces were when i truly wanted something ashy. the coloring although not the worst in itself was definitely not what i asked for. the cut however was extremely uneven and choppy. i just cannot believe i sat down for a 4 hour service leaving like that... i ended up recoloring myself and going to another salon to fix. i gave it a two because the stylist was kind but i won't be coming back. i included the references i used of what i wanted compared to what i actually left with.

I complained it was extremely tight the whole time to which she did not alleviate my discomfort and told me the problem was the braid down and we would have to start all over again with that. The sew in was not only tight, it was bulky too and so I asked her the next day if she could fix it. We could not meet and so I scheduled somewhere else and as you can see in the 2nd and 3rd photos that is the tension she put in my hair. I've lost my edges and have bumps all around the perimeter. I paid her $165 for dissatisfying work then I paid the other saloon $60 to take her work down which for the health of my scalp I could not keep in, and I had to pay $$$ for another sew in too. I am not the only person who has received an uncomfortably tight sew-in. Also she has been more than 1hr late to at least two of my appointment.

Adriana gave me an absolutely perfect 90s-style bouncy blowout, using only a hairdryer and a round brush, that held ALL night - I could not believe it didn't frizz up in the rain. Three days and a long plane ride later, and it's still smooth and wavy at the ends. My hair smelled amazing and had none of that hairspray crunch (though I know she used some). I was given a tour of the salon, which is lovely and clean and smells wonderful. Even got a few Aveda free samples which was so thoughtful.
