Typical busy Mobile on very busy intersection. Plenty of pumps but very often full. Small mini mart with typical stuff but not the most eye pleasing selection. Frankly it's a bit run down but otherwise good. read more

Perched on the Northern gate to Hamtramck this Mobil is always jumping. This place is very busy and the parking lot gets crazy sometimes. If you go here BEWARE: On the North (Caniff) side of their parking lot is a yellow curb. On the other side of it is a depression where they were probably supposed to put landscaping. I see cars get hung up on this (high centered) all the time. You won't see it when you are backing up. As far as the gas station goes... meh. They let bums hang out outside, they don't have a bathroom, the attendants are ALWAYS on their phones (some of these guys can talk and work, some cannot), positive things include: they sell cat food 24/7. read more

Very bad gas station. Every time I go either the card is declined or have to see cashier. I end up going to any of the gas stations on Conant (Few Minutes Away), all of my cards are working and valid so I know it is not the banks. The prices are the highest in all cities, not sure why they do that but I always fill up in Dearborn when I can (where I work), I only use this gas station for emergencies as a last resort. read more

The…read morelocation of this Shell guarantees a steady stream of business and the convenience of this spot at Forest and Woodward has had me stopping here for many years. This gas station predates who knows how many businesses in the vicinity... and yet I'm the first to review it on Yelp and had to create a listing. Likely cause it's nothing special and the only memorable thing about it is if someone is acting the fool here. People hustling for money, drunks being obnoxious... sometimes the location here isn't worth the annoyance of stopping. The Marathon a bit to the north on Woodward, past the museums and DPL is somewhat more chill and has a much better convenience store selection. Shell is tiny and bare bones, packed to the gills with junk food, junk food and cancer sticks behind the glass. Nothing healthy at all beyond water and maaaybe bananas. It's usually dirty and messy in there, too. All kinds of stickiness around the cheap ass gas station cappuccino machine. You might get stuck waiting for people playing the lottery there, though. Thank goodness there's no lottery at this Shell. The line would be halfway through the parking lot with even more bs going on. I will pull in here to gas up if I'm on E but generally avoid this Shell especially on weekend nights and anytime it's jammed up which is often.

A guy named Al owns it and he was amazing! Everyone needs to get their gas from this guy's station! He went way out of his way... I mean WAY out of his way to help me. Tow trucks were telling me 8-20 hours for pick up since EVERYONE has been spinning out on the ice. The owner of the Marathon station, Al, called at least 7 of his contacts multiple times to try to find me a quicker tow. He was helping me for over an hour while he had multiple things going on. He got a tow guy to bump me up to the top of his list and pick me up in 30 minutes! he looked all kinds of phone numbers up on his phone for me and he even charged my dying cell phone on an extra charger he had behind the counter! He'll be getting some fresh baked cookies from me!
