Cozy cafe in the center of the city. The atmosphere inside is warm & rustic (vintage signs, long wood tables), while the seating outside in the courtyard is perfect for the summer. I grabbed a late breakfast and went for a cappuccino (2.90 EUR) and greek yogurt with fruit, walnuts and honey (5.30 EUR). The cafe is well-known for roasting their own coffee beans, so I was pretty excited for the coffee. The cappuccino was good, but pretty small, even for German standards. Next time I'll have to get plain black coffee so I can taste their beans better. The yogurt was great, thick & creamy with a coarse/natural texture that I really enjoyed. I think it could be elevated if they used berries/fancier fruit instead of bananas & grapes, though. My friend got cheesecake & it looked yum. As far as service goes, it was standard, and the waitress spoke English. If you need a leisurely coffee break from shopping in the area or want to stay in the city center, this is a charming choice. read more

This place was very cute. All about coffee and tea and when we came here in the morning, a lot of people ordered breakfast. I was also crowded so we were lucky to find a spot. The staff speaks English very well and is happy to help you. I ordered a cappuccino and a big breakfast. And big is was! You'll get a little basket with different breads, a plate filled with delicious stuff like fresh jams, meats, cheeses, veggies, fruits, pesto and an egg. You also get nutella and honey. I ate everything and wasn't hungry anymore until dinner! So for 8 euro you will get a lot and it is super delicious as well. The coffee was also very good. Only downside is that the tables are a bit to close to each other so if it is busy you will not have much personal space. read more

Needed a hot cup of coffee and saw this place close by. My first reaction as soon as I walked in was it had to be good for the place to be so packed and have no tables available. After waiting a few minutes I was able to sit down and order a cappuccino. I was not hungry so I did not order anything else. The coffee was excellent! Place is very well located with a cozy atmosphere. They seem to be good for lunch not sure about dinner depending on the time they close. If in the neighborhood I would definitely stop by again! read more

It resembles something out of Brooklyn, SF, or Berlin in that it was hipster/hip looking young servers and pretty healthy/colorful looking fun unlike the traditional German fare. I was surprised how much I love this place. The interior is quirky and a little hipster, walls covered with antique coffee pots and grinders. It's busy too. No matter what time you go there will be a mass of people. It's a little loud, but in a lively way. The coffee is delicious and the menu is varied. I went with three friends and we squished into a tiny table. We ordered an antipasti platter, which was tasty. I also ordered cake (apricot), which wasn't good at all. On a really nice sunny day sitting outside this cafe is the best, and you really can't beat it. Took me a while to write this review, but hands down my favorite cafe in Dusseldorf. The coffee is nice, and I love to order their Earl Grey tea with their yogurt with honey and fruit as a light snack. Came in on a Sunday afternoon and this place was PACKED!!! While we were lucky with a table, it took forever for someone to come clean it up and take our orders. We ate here our first morning in town, we got up too late to enjoy the hotels breakfast and didn't want to pay hotel prices anyways. At 11:45 when we arrived it was quite crowded but a table soon free'd up. I had the large breakfast which consisted of a basket of breads, some fantastic raspberry jam, various meats, cheeses, a bit of fruit and an egg. My wife got the yogurt with fruit. Everything was fantastic, the service was quick and friendly and the prices were reasonable... you really can't go wrong. read more

A little coffee shop specialising in selling coffee machines (old ones line the walls of this place) - pretty standard offerings, with free finger foods on certain nights (get them before the flies do!). This is a nice and authentic place to have breakfast or tea. A shop for quality coffee and coffee machines, but also a place to start the day or have lunch or one of the really good looking cakes and tarts they offer. They have a few choices for breakfast, not the scrambled eggs or anything else baked, but all kinds of cheeses and meat on a plate with a boiled egg, some jam and nice fresh bread. The coffee was naturally perfect as that is their business. On Yelp we saw that they do not take reservations, but they actually do. And I would recommend to reserve, as the place was full and some tables were reserved. We were lucky to get a place within 5 minutes on Sunday morning half past 10. You don't need to be bored here, there is a lot to see, it's like a coffee museum with nice Jugendstill details everywhere, very stylish in an authentic way. Even the waitresses are a perfect fit in the setting, the concept just is perfect. You should check it out when you are in Düsseldorf. read more

Espresso is very good. Great ambiance and decor. A popular spot with locals on a Saturday afternoon. Try the bazaar tea. My couscous salad with arugula was OK. When I went back with a group of friends Sunday evening for a post prandial coffee we enjoyed the ambiance but found the service came up short. Found this place while looking for a spot to have a late breakfast whil ebing in town for only a few hours. It was great! Staff was super friendly, we sat a family style table, and the food was delicous and fresh. Great choice fo breakfast fpr anyone, veggie, sweet tooth, hungry... None of us could finish all we got to eat, it was simply too much. Highly recommend the mint/orange/ginger tea! read more
