Was in the shop for 20 minutes and not a single barber waved said hey or anything. If it wasn't for the kid waiting for his turn would I have known there was a sign in sheet. The gentleman next to me got upset because he watched people walk in and fill the chairs as they emptied. He asked a barber what was up that he'd been waiting. The barber explained this guy has an appointment. Unfortunately as a customer you'd never know since nobody would acknowledge people waiting. After sitting there for 20 minutes I just scratched off my name and left. Big surprise nobody said a thing to me. lol I won't be back. They obviously don't need any new business.

I had been standing in line to check in for more than a minute. She then told a walk in that they were ready for him. There was no one else waiting. I have been going to Knockouts for approximately 15 years. I started at the location on Western Center and moved to the Saginaw location about 10 years ago. If Knockouts can text me to tell me my appointment is cancelled, they can call to confirm I'm not coming. Further, when I scheduled the appointment, they did not advise me of a new policy to cancel the appointment if 5 minutes late. Had they told me I would have called to let them know traffic was backed up on the first day of school. Knockout's service has declined for the last several years, but I remained a loyal customer. I will never return.

This salon has some of the rudest and most inconsiderate staff I've ever encountered. They will reschedule your appointment without bothering to tell you, leaving you completely in the dark until you show up--only to find out you apparently weren't supposed to be there. When you try to call and figure out what happened, don't expect an apology or even basic courtesy. Instead, they'll hang up on you rather than deal with their own mistakes. Customer service is nonexistent, professionalism is a foreign concept, and basic respect is clearly too much to ask. I chose the premium service over the Express Cut because I wanted him to have a moment to relax and unwind. The Benchmark Haircut is advertised as a high-end service designed to leave you feeling refreshed and pampered, but his experience was anything but that. From the moment he walked in, the atmosphere was chaotic. The two stylists spent most of the appointment chatting loudly across the room, barely paying attention to my husband or engaging with him about his haircut. Kids were running around unsupervised, one screaming the entire time, and the whole place just felt disorganized and unprofessional. Since this was a surprise and my husband had never been to this salon before, he had no idea what to expect, and the stylist was so focused on her conversation with the other stylist that she couldn't take the time to explain what was included in the service. Instead of the relaxing break I had hoped for, he walked out feeling frustrated and annoyed. For the price of a premium service, we expected way better. The whole experience felt rushed and impersonal, and no one seemed to care about the environment they were creating. My husband kept saying how awful the experience was and that he would never go back. Given the cost and the reputation of the Boardroom Salon, we left feeling really disappointed. Not only did my husband leave more stressed than when he arrived, but I also couldn't help but feel like I wasted money. My child told me that Rachel couldn't get the tinsel to stay and whispered it but that she said it right by her ear so she heard it regardless. Just because my child is a preteen doesn't mean I'd like her to hear that kind of language EVEN if "she's heard it before." From the moment we walked in Rachel wasn't overly pleasant and gave off a bad vibe. She sneezed a good twenty plus times in a row right by my child's face and didn't wash her hands afterwards. Rachel wasn't too gentle with my child's head either, not nearly as much as Shonda was with the other children. Plus she kept scratching her own head as she was washing my child's hair. Then add the curse word on top of that. It's all bad customer service especially for working on a children's environment. It stinks because I was actually really happy with the haircut. My child felt so pretty on her birthday. Further, we were scheduled to have Shonda, but Shonda was given to the younger children that walked in while we were stuck with potty mouth Rachel. I'm so annoyed about it because I have a two year old who repeats EVERYTHING who WAS with me too!! Anyway, just don't let Rachel do your child's hair if you have an aversion to exposing your young child to curse words. Otherwise this is a cool place. I have no idea if I'll return though.
