She carries frustrations with her that are connected to the challenges she faces every day, and going to Spindleworks relieves that frustration for her. She enjoys creating art or fine crafts, but more than that, she expresses herself through her art in ways she cannot verbally. When she first began, she only created one simple form of finished work, but they encouraged her over s long period of time to branch out, and now she creates art in many different ways: painting, weaving, ceramics and more. And on the more practical side, Spindleworks has a store that you have to visit. The products are unique and expressive, and a good percentage of the purchases goes to the artists, as it should be. A new twist is that after you are done shopping in the store itself, you can explore the entire artist facility, as they also have items for sale on display in all the art rooms.

They definitely had some pieces I enjoyed, while some were definitely not things I would care for, but many would disagree with me I'm sure. We were greeted with a friendly welcome, and since we just did a quick browse that was our only interaction but the worker or owner did seem keen on helping others who were there so that's a plus for customer service. Lastly like I said art is subjective and an artist can put any value they'd like so long as it sells but some prices for pieces my wife or I liked deterred us from thinking about buying them. Despite this I like spots like this for the fact it is a place that can showcase so many artists in one spot. It truly allows for everyone to find their right piece of art and every artist to find their audience. A shop worth stopping at during your stroll in Bath Maine!

Originally home to the local chapter of Knights of Pythias, this space has a long history in Brunswick. I attended an event here this weekend which was the first time I had been in the new space and was very impressed by the results. The room still had the important elements preserved but is now more accessible and usable in the 21st century. Well done.

I absolutely love it though. This studio is beautiful. I came in through the downstairs so was able to see the work area - lots of people, creating lots of beautiful things. So many gorgeous, finished pieces hanging upstairs. Wow!! I picked up half a dozen pieces of glass - you know, the stuff I "needed" even though I hadn't realized it. Nice collection of everything stained glass. Even if I don't book seat time in the work area, I will most definitely be back for supplies.
