After that mess got straightened out and the bill got correctly submitted to insurance and we paid the balance owed to the debt collector, they are now trying to bill us for the money that we already paid to the debt collector that they hired. I would not recommend going here unless you want year of financial headaches to follow.

Every time I go, I'm treated with respect and some times with a smiling face from the greeting at the reception area to the technicians. The technicians have all been great so far. One thing I'm not so crazy about is that I have to fill out paperwork every time I have to go there. Within one week I went for a MRI and X-Rays and both times I had to fill out the paperwork. I was told that's their procedure and even if I went somewhere else they are pretty sure that I would have to do the same. I do recommend CDI, there is plenty of parking spaces and easy to get to.

I have been going to that location for MRI's for about 40 yrs. even before Greater Springfield MRI started there. I have Multiple Sclerosis and a few other health problems, usually get a minimum of one MRI per yr., sometimes more than one. I've always said good things about GSMRI and the tech who has done my MRI's for several yrs. I've battled with doctors who have preferred I get an MRI somewhere else, but I've stuck with GSMRI. For several decades now, GSMRI has made a tidy sum from my health insurance provider. Today made a difference in how I will speak of GSMRI. I arrived for my appointment a half hour early. Waited in the reception area for 15 minutes, no one was at the desk. A woman finally showed up. I gave her my ins. cards and ID and she proceeded to ask me "if I knew what medications I take". My answer to that, "Of course I know, do you think I'm an idiot?" Next, handed me a form, telling me what had to be filled out. After filling out the same form for about 4 DECADES, No Instructions Were Needed, thank you. Part of that form, on one skinny little line, "list all surgeries". I've filled out such a few times but stopped doing that about 20 YEARS AGO. No one has ever mentioned or complained when I told them I've had a few surgeries going back to the 1970's but have had none in recent years. Today was different. The woman at the desk gave me an argument. "You've got to list ALL surgeries!" I told her I haven't listed surgeries for many years; NO ONE has said a word about it. Next, someone else came out, told me I had to list surgeries. I said that was ridiculous and I wasn't going to list them. Next, original woman leaving for lunch, said a tech would be out to speak to me. A short time later, a tech appeared, asked "what's up, what's wrong?" and proceeded to tell me, "Each time you come here you are given this form, you answer all questions (which I did) and, you list ALL surgeries and you sign it. I repeated what I have said here, "I haven't listed any surgeries for many years and no one has said a word about it." I told her I had been there for an MRI December 18, 2025, a little less than three months ago, had checked off all needed boxes and, DID NOT LIST ANY SURGERIES. She skipped over what I said and went right back to repeating that EACH TIME YOU COME HERE YOU FILL OUT THIS FORM AND SIGN IT AND YOU LIST ALL SURGERIES. I told her to SHOW ME the form I filled out in December/2025, there would be NO surgeries listed on there. And possibly SHOW ME the form I filled out when I went there for an MRI in October of 2025, there would be NO surgeries listed on that one either. And another MRI, September 18, 2025, there would be NO surgeries listed on that form either. Apparently, she had no interest in looking up forms I filled out for previous MRI's that NO one at any time mentioned or demanded that any surgeries had to be listed or, she just felt like speaking to me as if I were a bad child and I was going to do as I was told, or else!! Our "conversation" ended with her telling me that I either list all surgeries or I could cancel my MRI for today. I said, "Cancel the MRI" and I left with her voice calling out, "Have a nice day." The surgeon who ordered the MRI will be disappointed, he wanted me get the MRI at Baystate in the first place but, I argued, told him, GSMRI is a great place, been going there for many, many years, nice people there (or so I thought). Eventually, everyone screws up. That nasty young woman changed my opinion of Greater Springfield MRI in a matter of 30 seconds. Do they keep past forms? If so, SHOW ME! It became of matter of principle.

Mixed feelings but more positive than negative…read more Not going to go into details about why I was here but wanted to give some feedback about my experience. *The patient parking lot desperately needs to have the lines repainted. Multiple cars taking up two spots. *For coming in on a late weekend morning the service was quick for what needed to be done. In and out of the waiting room a couple times but not a long wait. When the sun is shining through the windows the warmth of a winter day feels nice. *When finally taken into the ER the service that was provided for my partner was very well. She was highly concerned from previous visits at her own medical places that when drawing blood she was getting pricked multiple times because they couldn't find the vein. She requested an ultrasound which the person who conducted it did it in the first try but wasn't completely successful but it worked enough. The main care taker, Emma?, was fantastic and made my partner very comfortable. I gave her that feedback which cheered up her day. *I noticed on the drapes around the bed where I was sitting had some stains on them. I brought it to Emma's attention and she said she would have the cleaners take care of it. I typically don't need to go to hospitals. I'm what they consider "boring " which is good. But I would come here if I needed immediate attention for something.

And then have a doctor that doesn't follow the protocol for an existing ailment of 20 years. Instead gives you an experimental medicine with side effects that left me unable to move or barely speak and my body went into tremors. And no one bothered to even check on me. I ended up going home still dehydrated and the medicine that she gave me in my arm which was called Risperdal or Risperidone is actually used for schizophrenia and if you look up the side effects I managed to get most of them! She put it in my arm directly to the arm that I had rotator cuff surgery on and it froze the muscles in my arm and I'm still in pain as of today. Also caught some horrible virus from the waiting room as they sat me out there in front of everybody as I was gagging and sweating and throwing up, my immune system is already compromised and this gave me an illness that also attacked my husband and my daughter, I don't know if it was covid or what but the pain through our backs was like a stabbing knife along with all your other flu-like symptoms. I used to trust this Hospital but because of this one particular doctor which whom I am filing Mega amounts of complaints against, I'd rather die than go back there.

On a personal note, my daughter is a Nurse at the Springfield Shriners. Since her young age of 4 she has wanted to be a Shriners Nurse. A friend of hers was a patient and she accompanied her friend and parent for a well visit and physical therapy. She was awe struck and with the continued influence of our family members in the Nursing field, our daughter made her dream come true in 2018. It's one not the smaller Shriner Facilities, but every one of them is staffed with kind and compassionate caring individuals. Many of whom work part-time due to budgetary constraints being a non-profit, so these professionals need to supplement their incomes by working per-diem at other Healthcare facilities. It's takes a special person to juggle and remain grounded caretakers. Our daughter has shared some very heart warming stories about the patients and their families situation. Each being unique from the other. I wish I could go into further detail, but out of respect of each patient I can't. Please trust me when I say, the Shriners organization in Springfield, Massachusetts works miracles, as does all of their other Hospitals. Happy NATIONAL NURSES WEEK Shriners and all others!
