I can usually drop my car off and have my tire changed within the hour. On busier days it can take 2-3 hours, but the employees always call and give you updates. I've been commuting a lot for work lately so I've had 3 tires changed here within the last few months. It's been a great experience every time. The first time I stopped in Allied, I'd busted a tire right before heading to work in Nola and had to get on the road ASAP! I was in a huge hurry and the owner was extremely accommodating. We chatted a bit about jazz music and he actually played a Herbie Hancock tune over the lobby speakers while I waited. That just about made my day. Last weekend I had an egg in my tire, but couldn't spend the money on a new one so I asked the guys at Allied to just take a look and tell me how bad it was. They showed me it was completely split down to the threads, and I definitely couldn't drive on it. Knowing I couldn't afford a new tire yet, they put a discarded tire in better shape on my car just so I could make it to work that weekend. For free. I was blown away by the gesture. The guys totally saved the day. I'm beyond grateful for awesome local businesses that still connect with their community. As Herbie would say, "just keep on doin' it!" :P

The business has acknowledged that the damage occurred on their property, although they said they do not know how it happened. The employee who worked on my car was conveniently not employed there just a few days later, so there are no witnesses or cameras to corroborate their claims. Within a day, the crack spread to the point that it obstructed my line of sight and made the vehicle unsafe to drive. I was unable to drive my car to work and had to pay out of pocket for a mobile windshield replacement. Despite acknowledging that the damage happened on their property, they have refused to take responsibility or reimburse the cost. I'm disappointed in how this was handled and would not recommend this company based on this experience.

I had only been there and one other place so I assumed it possibly happened at the other place. I detailed my car this past weekend and paid special attention to the damaged area, so I knew exactly what it looked like. I went through the car wash on Monday and noticed new damage in the same area just below the other scratches, when I arrived at work. This time it took a huge chunk of paint and deeper scratches into the paint. I went back to the carwash and asked to speak to the manager. He immediately told me they were not responsible for the damage and it did not happen there. It absolutely did happen there and I will never go back! I will also tell everyone I know to NEVER use this place.

But from the first day I went in, they've treated me like a local, always willing to help, giving honest assessments of work that needs to be done - even telling us when work doesn't need to be done. I can send my daughters here knowing they won't be taken advantage of and they'll get the same solid service. It's gotten to be a busy place, meaning it's hard to just drop in for an oil change without an appointment, which is a good sign - places with poor service don't get popular.
