I was quoted $3500 to remove an oak tree. During removal they lost control of a major limb and…read moredamaged another smaller tree knocking it halfway down. When they returned in the morning the smaller tree had fallen down. When done they tried to charge me $400 to remove the tree they damaged. They also tried to charge me and additional $500 for a lift that they mentioned would be needed when they quoted the $3500. They left the lower three foot portion of the small tree trunk blocking part of the crick which will inhibit flow. They also left a four foot tall stump from the oak tree they were supposed to cut down. The owner told me they would take care of those two items when I paid him but they didn't. When I reached out to him he indicated they weren't going to do any more free work for me. They never did any free work they just tried to overcharge me $900. They showed a discount on the bill for $900 like they were doing me a favor so the total would be the $3500 they quoted. Their cleanup was not as good as Evergreen Tree service who recently did some work for us. If they would have completed the work and not tried to overcharge me, I would probably have given them at least 4 stars. They have shown themselves to be disreputable in my experience with them and I would shy away from contracting them for work. There are other tree services available that are affordable and professional such as Evergreen.

I believe they might have made a hole in my garage roof which I had to have repaired once I discovered it a couple months later- the hole went thru 3 layers of shingles and wood. In the winter when I asked when they were coming to trim oak he refused and pretended like he didn't know who I was. I payed 2600 for 3 trees. I managed to get $800 back for the oak. It took a lot of arm twisting. Now I have another company trimming the silver maple even tho I payed for extreme to trim it which they didn't. Do not call them unless you're desperate.

I recently visited oak park garden center(as its listed as a tourist destination) and found out for myself that it truly is a spectacular place. Their water garden selections are amazing. I was just looking to spruce up my garden in a very modest fashion, but instead, left with a new found sense of gardening. The staff was very helpful and friendly and made me feel comfortable with any questions i had. Its nice to see owners of a business get their "hands dirty." I'm looking forward to starting my spring garden with Oak Park Garden Center.
