WHICH IS 3 MINUTES WALKING FROM THE BEACH. you wouldn't know it when you arrive, but you are basically right at the foot of the sandiest beach i have yet to find in the UK. the owners are really nice and the breakfast was good. the hotel is small so they know who you are and are friendly. i had a single room so it was a bit small, but definitely adequate. i would be back in a heart beat during another sunny weekend.

Mudeford confuses many people because when they look for the beach they usually end up at the quay…read morewhich is on the opposite side of the narrow channel, the entrance to Christchurch Harbour. The current here is swift & ruthless but fun to watch. Mudeford Beach or Sandbank or Spit is at the tip of Hengistbury Head. There are lovely beaches particularly harbour side, masses of expensive beach huts, dunes, lovely walks & water sports in designated areas. There is no vehicular access. There is a large car park at Hengistbury Head and a land train that takes you out onto the Spit. It operates everyday except Christmas & really bad weather. Or if you prefer you can park at Mudeford Quay & take the ferry across. There is cafe & shops both sides plus a pub & fresh fish stall on the Quay side. This is a beautiful part of the country & one of my favourites especially on windy days in the winter. Will do a seperate review for Mudeford Quay as it is very different.

Debbie provided without request a fresh non-slip bath mat and clean travel cot for our youngest travel companion (my son was only a few months at the time) as well as a selection of baby friendly chopped fresh fruit and yogurts. Grown up breakfast is cooked fresh to your specification and worth the stay alone. Rooms are tastefully decorated and comfortable. The beds are the kind you don't want to get out of and sheets incredibly fresh and pressed. I've stayed here on a few of my trips down to Weymouth, always with my son and been well catered for. There's a nice lounge and ample parking for guests. Outside has decking and is well maintained. It's only a few yards round the corner to the sea and a short walk into the town centre. I'm always sad to leave which is a good thing

The worst Agents I've ever encountered! Trying to get my…read moredeposit back from a property I rented through them (& overpaid rent!) and have been met with time wasting, lack of professionalism, and lack of knowledge of their trade. No entry or exit schedule of condition for the property, wrong pictures, not fulfilling their duties.... The list goes on & on... Fortunately the Deposit Protection Scheme will return my money but it's taken 4 months and counting.

Let's start with service. Every employees is very friendly and attentive to your needs. I stayed here with my husband in one room, my mother in law in another room and my sister and law and her family in one of the family rooms. Every morning we would go and order our made to order breakfast of bacon, toast, beans, sausage, full English, cheeses and hams, cereal, fruits etc... while at breakfast almost everyday, our room we be made up for the day. Fresh towels if we wanted and re-stocking of tea and biscuits in room. The bar staff were great and the one night we had dinner on site was great as well! The rooms... from what I've read the third floor was remodeled and those are the photos they use for the advertisements. We all had rooms on the second floor. Rooms 207, 208 and 209 to be exact. The furniture and decor is outdated and the bed was rather u comfortable to sleep on. The bathroom in 207 was very old and the shower was almost like a cave and had mold in it. I know it was clean but still is much to be desired. It was very hot for England last week when we were in Swanage and it was nice that the hotel provided fans in each room to get through the night. Room 208 was a family room and had a double bed and a single bead well as a larger updated bathroom. The big positive of this hotel is the views of the beach and town. It's a great location where you can walk down about 80 steps to the beach where there is nice sandy areas to lay out and there are two beach restaurants very close by for food and chair rentals. It only takes about 10 minutes to get into the center of town if walking as well! You cannot beat the location! Other amenities of the hotel include a small but old gym (don't expect top of the line machines here), a small pool and hot tub as well as a sauna on the bottom floor that walks out to the back garden and beach area. Overall even though it needs updated, the hotel was a nice and the service made up for the lack of remodeling.
