I LOVED this place! First off, this bed and breakfast REALLY is in a village--the kind you see in…read morethe movies! Harts Lane is so narrow, my partner hesitated pulling our car into the lane and then really had second thoughts about pulling into the tiny parking area. I was too busy loving everything I could see to care about that! Then, we walked into the bed and breakfast, where an out-of-breath Linda Smith greeted us warmly and apologized for not being ready. We didn't mind. After all, there were TWO pubs in one TINY village! ;) When we returned from our obligatory pub visit, Linda led us upstairs and to our room. Do you know how sometimes places look clean but don't smell clean? This clean room smelled GREAT! Then, I went into the bathroom. It was completely remodeled and very modern. I was in heaven! A quaint, clean bedroom with a clean modern shower! There was even a place for me to sit down in the bedroom and put on my makeup. I decided to use it for sitting down and reading a daily devotional, but just having this wonderful space was a plus. Did I mention there was a fireplace? The next morning, Linda cooked us "whatever we wanted." My partner happily ordered sausage and eggs, and I ordered bacon and eggs. While we waited, I looked around the family dining room. There were wonderful family pictures--Linda and Ian Smith's wedding pictures, their children, etc. My partner meanwhile marveled at his freshly squeezed orange juice and some of the woodwork in the room. Then, the food came. The bacon was the size of 4 American slices stuck together but a lot thicker. Everything was delicious, but after we ate, we felt like we needed a nap! If you go to this area of England, stay here! The Smiths are very congenial people, their accommodations are clean, their food is outstanding, and the village is picturesque. You'll swear you're in a movie.

I wish you could award Bindon Bottom a rating of 10stars …read more Clive and Lisa are the most wonderful people you could meet, nothing is too much trouble. The attention to detail is a credit to their hard work and how much they want there guests to have a wonderful time. We stayed in the Blyton Room. This is a ground floor room with a lovey big Sash window opening up to a little view of the court yard area. The room and bathroom are spotless (cleaned every morning you go out) Fresh good quality towels, and lovely bedding. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate, herbal tea etc. Mini fridge with fresh milk and bottled water. Oh not forgetting Lisa's Homemade flapjacks, shortbreads & Chocolate truffles. Crisps and peanuts. TV & Hairdryer. So now on to Breakfast. Clive does the most amazing cooked breakfast. There is also fresh yogurt. Potted fruit. Organic cereals. Fresh cut toast. Fresh coffee pot or tea. Organic fruit juice. We have been very lucky to stay in some very lovely places and hotels , but this TOPS them all . In one word - spectacular.

This.place.is.wonderful!…read more We have only stayed one night here and most of the time since checking in was spent lounging in the room as it was just too cosy to want to leave! Bindon Bottom is a delightful B&B owned by Lisa and Clive in the pitcturesque little village of Lulworth. The B&B is only a 5 minute walk from the famous Lulworth Cove (and shops, cafes etc). The B&B has been thoughtfully and tastefully decorated and each room is named after a famous poet or author local to the Dorset area. The number of 'little touches' here are endless and they all just make it extra special. From the Neal's Yard organic toliletries to the refreshment tray in each room with local delights (crisps, biscuits, choclate...), not to mention all the literature available to read, the freeview TV/DVD player in each room... I could go on... Breakfast was delicious too, comprised of an array of cold organic items (cereal, yoghurt, fresh raspberries/blueberries, honey, juices) and then the tasty hot element, which was lovingly made and carefully presented. Lisa even caters for coeliacs, and has gluten free bread available upon request. The bed was cosy and the rooms were spotlessly clean - this place is really all you could ask for. This is a great find and perfectly placed within the area to discover the local tourist spots. Thank you Clive and Lisa for a wonderful stay!
