As the owner of a home neighboring a property serviced weekly by Bay Pointe Landscape, I can report that while they may or may not provide satisfactory service to their paying customers, they most certainly do not have the slightest concern for the community or neighbors at large and least of all does Bay Pointe Landscape exhibit respect for the law since they demonstrably and chronically violate City ordinances governing their activities.
I have many times woke from a sound sleep between 7:15 AM and 7:30 AM to the roar of a gas powered leaf blower at full throttle just 12 feet from my bedroom window. City ordinance prohibits operation of leaf blowers in residential areas before 8AM M-F. City ordinance also prohibits operation of leaf blowers at full throttle at ANY time in residential areas. City ordinance also prohibits blowing debris onto neighboring property or into the street without immediately removing this material. Apparently Bay Pointe Landscape feels it need not adhere to the provisions of this ordinance, let alone common decency, since it routinely employs leaf blowers to blast considerable amounts of debris into the street, onto our property, into the street in front of our property, and all over neighboring vehicles, then packs up their truck and drives on to the next paying job...debris successfully moved from paying customer property to unlucky (and non-revenue generating) neighbors' property.
On many occasions I have advised Bay Pointe Landscape's crew of their violations, in person. My cue of course is the rude awakening from a sound sleep to the roar of the leaf blower and the shouts of the operator over the din of said gas powered, full throttle noisemaker. I yet again, as if from a scene in the film "Ground Hog Day", have to get out of bed, get dressed, and prepare to address this recurring problem with Bay Pointe's chronically offending crew (obviously under instruction from management). Each time the crew offers no conversation in English, and though I point at my watch, and though, if nothing else, because of many past experiences with myself and officers of the City Police Department who explicitly informed Bay Pointe's crew of their violation and that they face fines for repeated offenses, know they are violating City ordinance, continue with their blasting leaf blower activity during prohibited early morning hours.
But since Bay Pointe Landscaping management has only concern for the cash that flows from their customers, and absolutely no regard for their (non-paying) customer's neighbors, the community, or the law, and continues to routinely violate the City ordinance against Bay Pointe Landscaping's activities, I have in addition to speaking directly on numerous occasions to the offending employees, also many times reported their flagrant disregard for the community, its citizens, and the law to the City Police Department.
On more than one occasion officers have arrived on scene, while the leaf blowers were in full tilt operation, and informed the crew in no uncertain terms they were in violation of City ordinance. The City police officers on at least one occasion I was witness to also spoke with the manager on the other end of the mobile phone offered to them by the lead worker of the crew on site. In that conversation a City police officer informed the Bay Pointe Manager in explicit terms that Bay Pointe Landscaping is in violation of City ordinance and faces fines for any future violations.
Unfortunately violations subsequent to this police administered warning are irrefutable evidence that even admonitions from law enforcement officers are apparently not motivation enough to overcome Bay Pointe management's greed fueled urge to squeeze one more job into a day during early morning hours prohibited by, for good reason, City ordinance against such activity.
Perhaps these recurring and deliberate acts against the law and our community is consistent with Bay Pointe Landscaping's conception of doing their part in making America great again. read more
