The balcony was incredible, a great view of the sunrise every morning. The unit: Although the listing states fully equipped gourmet kitchen, I would call it a functional kitchen. Manual can opener, well worn pots, pans were new. For a location known for its crabs, not a pot that you can cook them in. It sleeps 10, but the flatware and place settings were for 8. I purchased my own knives because the head knife that was there was slightly duller than a butter knife. The Realtor: I had to mop the floors when I arrived because the cleaning company contracted did not do a satisfactory job by my standards. The linen company did not pick up the prior parties dirty linen for a week. When they came to pick up the linens, the just walked in at 815am, glad I was caught in my underwear. Lee Yung (I think that is correct) was wonderful, very good with the guests, very polite, greeted every time with a smile and a cordial greeting, he also kept the common areas immaculate. John the building manager, well an ignoramous. Rude, arrogant. For a building that leases to a high number of guests you would think that they would have someone more personable, or at least smiles and says hello. I passed John at least 20 times and just received a stare..... horrible. Lastly the guy with the beard from advantage arrived 30 minutes late on the day of checkout. If you are 10 minutes late it is a $50 fee but I guess they can keep the guest waiting. In the end, great location, nice unit but could use a few additional items. The realtor and contract personnel need to step up thier standard and John should find a career he is happy at. Believe it or not, it will be a strong prospect for our next beach vacation. It would have been a 5 star if it weren't for those few items

Worst of all was paying for an ocean front room and not being able to enjoy the view because the window seal is broken, so the glass is fogged. The socket covers and lights were replaced during our stay. I emailed Vacasa and sent them photos. So far, the only response I have received is "we know about the windows" and the "socket cover/lightbulbs were replaced during your stay".If they are aware of the windows, it should be mentioned in the listing. Something along the lines of ocean view, through SOME WINDOWS.

But, it works to sleep in & like other reviews mention it is close to the boardwalk. We didn't even stay the night! 9/13 we returned to shower. 2 of us took showers only to find that the water didn't get hot. Imagine trying to shower with a full face of makeup & Aunty Mary (menstrual). Yes, that was me in the downstairs bathroom for 45 minutes (the water NEVER got hot!). Another person was upstairs taking a shower and relayed a message to ME that the water was not hot also. That's 2 of 6 women. So, the 2 of us are enjoying sitting on the porch and the male owner (who lives above the rental office) walks by and asks how everything was so far. So, I informed him that the water doesn't get hot, he tells me you have to wait. I advised him of how long I was in there for & ...the man begins to argue with me that the water is fine. Then he insists on checking. He is then informed that there are 4 women in there in different phases of undress. I also, informed him that our neighbors ~5+ Harley riding younger white men said their water wasn't getting hot either (we coexisted well). So, I said go in theirs and check. He didn't. The second of the 2 of us said to check the water heater. He did & w/ NO APOLOGY! He comes back and says he had to reset it by unplugging and replugging. Please note that this is an AirBNB! Not included ANYTHING like the traditional hotel soap, conditioner/shampoo, wash rag/towels, etc. But, the icing on the cake! No TP (toilet paper) SURPRISE! We of course went to Walmart & Dollar Tree for the essentials. Other notable mentions are: The small ass refrigerator w/ black electrical tape inside, the plentiful crunchy antique motif, the typical rusty shower rod, beige/yellowish 3 piece bathroom located directly next to the kitchen (GROSS!) I'm sure there's much more that I have repressed, but overall $700 for the memories was worth it. I WOULD NEVER give that family any business. P.s I didn't pick the place, my friend did & of course I didn't research/review before agreeing. I'll NEVER do that again either. It's your choice.

The fees they tacked on were $160, almost double the advertised rates in fees. Stay away from places that try to scam you with low prices up front.

The condo we stayed at had all normal appliances-washer/dryer, dishwasher, flat screen TV, etc. The condo is a 1 BR and was very small but just enough (after all, who spends their time in Ocean City inside at the condo??) Amenities include an indoor pool but no gym, tennis courts, grill, etc. The LOCATION is the main thing about the Decatur house that is unbeatable. It's at 12th and boardwalk; there is a bike rental right next to the building, immediate beach access, and 2 pizza places at boardwalk and 12th! One impt point-the parking is very confusing. The lots are NOT labelled 1,2,and 3! The closest one is 1, the next to the west is 2, and 3 is the farthest with guest spots. The numbers labeling the spots are BASICALLY ERASED and IMPOSSIBLE to read, so please take your time and find your assigned spot! Apparently residents will tow if you are in the wrong spot!
