When in for a mental health assessment. Was told that there…read morewas significant concerns given suicidal ideations & self-harm, but that given their program is 3 weeks that I should look into a DBT program that has over a year waiting list. Call me crazy if you want to but wouldn't the immediate need for care should be more important than referring me out to a clinic that has an over a year wait list and had they done an actual thorough assessment they would have known that I had been at that clinic and that it was unsuccessful. So, now I have no treatment plan in place referrals that were absolutely useless. So,someone struggling with their mental health left alone to navigate a broken system, I will be filing a complaint with their system and with the state. I do not enjoy having my health and safety put at futher risk. Avoid their social worker sue lacks empathy and rapport building skills

The appointments are on time, the staff are friendly, and the facility is always clean! There is a Lab/X-ray center on the same floor (it shares a waiting room) which is extremely convenient if your doctor orders any tests. There has only been one occasion I had to go to a separate facility, but that was for a unique blood test. An advantage to the Wheaton system is they offer online scheduling, emailing with your doctor, prescription refill request, etc. through a program called "MyChart". I work weird hours, so this has been especially helpful for managing things I don't have time for during regular business hours. Also, I've been able to get results faster on my own without having to come to the office.

Found out son had a cyst in his head that was altering the overall structure as well as…read moredisplacement of a major artery. Went to see Dr. Reichert as a second opinion due to his ratings. After waiting an hour past our appointment time, he spent approximately 5 minutes (NOT kidding) with us. He came in the room, said "any headaches" (to which my son responded "yes"), with Dr. Reichert's response of "I'm not doing surgery because you don't need it." Didn't bring up his MRI results or discuss them, didn't talk about any of his structural abnormalities, didn't ask "how are you," didn't listen to any concerns, didn't ask if we had questions, kept tapping on the exam table - slouched and leaning back in the office chair - completely unprofessional, cocky, disrespectful, NO bedside manners, treated us like we didn't know anything (I myself have a medical degree as an NP), didn't even assess my son(!), opened the door, and walked us out of the room. I would NEVER recommend this provider to absolutely anyone. I have no idea who would rate him so highly, but I really hope that you look to other providers to have an understanding of what one would be like if they had their patient as the focus of attention, during an office visit that I am paying for, related to a pretty significant issue.

Not what I expected. Exceeded my expectation…read more I had to complete and bring some paperwork (medical history, etc.) and a CD with two CT scans. I thought it better to submit them prior to the app't so the Dr. might have a chance to review BEFORE my visit. How could he go through all that and the scans during the app't, which I expected to be 15-20 minutes? The doctor saw me within 10-15 minutes of my appointment time and spent over 45 minutes speaking (and listening) to me, doing a brief physical exam, and then reviewing, in detail, the CT scans of my cervical and lumbar regions. He didn't review the scan in advance. He spent the time to review them with me. I was not there to proceed with any particular action or surgery. I was there to CONSULT and strategize whether to take action now (I'm 67), or wait some years, maybe 10 or whatever, to live with my ongoing condition/s (I've had a discectomy and fusion already) and take action at some later date. Dr. King understood all that, and considering the complete Degenerative Disc Disease (DDD) I have, he recommended we take a wait and see approach on the surgery. He did refer me to Dr. Doniparthi in the Pain Management clinic to again CONSULT the possibility of an injection or trigger point therapy. (I have seen her more than once before and had injections before). I did follow up with her the very next day and her assessment was basically the same - no assurance that any injection would help... might help, might not. So... wait and see as long as I could continue to function as is. I was very pleased that I was listened to, that a conservative approach was considered and taken, and will return to Dr. King, if and when, I deteriorate to needing some intervention.

Reviewing a doctor is so personal, but Dr. Brand really gets it. I started seeing him a few years…read moreago on a recommendation from my sister (who's a nurse & also has hypochondriac tendencies) and I'm extremely grateful. I have a little bit of "doctor phobia" and both the staff & the doctor are super kind & understanding. I rarely have to wait past my appointment time and am often seen a few minutes early. Exams have been comprehensive and Dr. Brand is thorough in explaining things & answering questions. What really sets him apart, IMO, is the personal touch. The day after my appointments, I get a call from him to personally review my results. Just last week, I had my first mammogram (yay for turning 40...) and I had a call with the results just THREE hours later. Does your doctor do this? If the answer is "no" you might want to ask, "why not?"
