Word of caution, the embarking location is different from the 479 Market St address. We made the mistake of going to that address to meet Captain Larry. The actual meeting place was really under the bridge off of Water St. (Just be sure to confirm meeting location when you make your reservation.) The trip was quite interesting, as Captain Larry speeds through the swamp land. You truly get to experience and see nature, untouched by man. It's quite the estuary. Captain Larry even stopped along the way for us to just sit and observe the surroundings and share fun facts. We got to see an eagle, an alligator and other birds during the trip. For my first airboat ride, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Would I recommend? Yes.

We've rented kayaks from them, bought gear, asked questions and just enjoyed kind of hanging out with them around the island and in Apalach. They have a very laid back vibe and attitude but are super-serious about listening to what you want or are trying to do and then meeting your needs. They've gone WAY out of their way to make our vacations fun and I can't say that enough (I have MS and they've been incredibly cool and kind helping me get the equipment/modifications I need to stay active). I looked at my handful of reviews not too long ago and saw that I only give five-star reviews. I feel kinda bad about that, but really it's just so few places or experiences made/make me ecstatic and when I find one I want to recognize it. Jeannie's is one of them!

Me and my son where very grateful to find this guy. First we went about 30 minutes out to one of his spots and caught 12 Sheephead all of sizable quality within 30 minutes (we threw back 4-5 smaller ones) and then we went inshore for Spanish mackerel and caught 5 in about 30 minutes then we went for some trout, no luck so we moved on quickly to look for Redfish, we caught a few up in the beautiful river but it was slow so we went to try for some more Spanish. What a trip. So many experiences and he was really knowledgeable. I fish all over and he's one of the most knowledgeable Captains that I've met. He's also retired from the Navy and told me he's been fishing here his whole life. Please support our servicemen and have a great time doing it.

We took the 4 hour cruise in the afternoon and were most impressed...Exactly the boat we wanted (houseboat so we could choose to be inside or out), comfortable, lots of lore and nature info, especially on birds. It was a great time and we'd go back and do it again. 4 Hours may seem like a long time, but it flew by like an hour-there was so much to see and information to process. Good price, good man, good boat. This is a "Don't Miss" when you're in or nearby Apalach.
