Ipad will be sent back for the 7th time. Wouldn't a normal person see that the home button is off center and know the repair wasn't completed properly?!?!? Yet they KEEP sending it back to me with an offset home button, only for it to shift completely out of position within a couple of weeks! ugh. these guys are pathetic. 12/22/16 So on the seventh time I was told they would try to fix it one more time but that would be it. "The warranty expires in January " ( even though they technically NEVER fixed it!). I eventually cut a deal with them to get refunded for the original cost of the repair. NEVER BUY A CAR BATTERY FROM BATTERIESPLUSBULBS THERE IS SOME UNWRITTEN CLAUSE IN THEIR WARRANTY. I brought my battery back to them for replacement. It was one month shy of one year old. They put a volt meter to it and said "It is below 10 volts and can not be replaced under warranty!" Nowhere is this BS listed in their warranty policy. I found out later they do this to everyone, thus escaping replacement. I will never buy from them again and I hope you never do either. read more

Avoid this place if at all possible. Worst customer service I've ever experienced. Placing an online order is apparently super overwhelming for the staff and McCully, I think his name was. After taking over two hours to fulfill an online order I never received a confirmation, so I called to inquire if I would be able to pick up the product. They ended up not having it in stock, my ETA was another inconvenience for him, and he "never accepted the transaction" as he so politely put it. Turns out the easiest part was the voided transaction. The corporate call takers were great, thought. Unfortunately they lost this customer, and hopefully anyone else willing to listen. Batteries Plus Bulbs is one of those stores that have a few weird odds and ends that a regular person might need every blue moon. Very cramped and cluttered in the store. looks like they took stuff from a store three times as big and stuffed it into this tiny little space. There was also a dog running around inside the store, not that I have anything against dogs, but I feel unless you work in a pet store, your dog should stay at home. Prices are very high for the items they carry and there was a bunch of employees gathered around and just talking, nobody really seemed interested in assisting me in what I was looking for. read more

RIP OFF, ABSOLUTE JOKE. Went because I heard they cut and program keys, shopping around to see who offers the best price, that's where this nonsense begins. My girlfriend drives a 2011 Honda Insight, nothing special. He tells us to order the key alone will be $150 that's WITHOUT the cut and programming. He says to get it programmed will be another $70! $220 to get ONE KEY PROGRAMMED! Absolute nonsense! I sold cars at Interstate Ford and the most you'd pay for a used car is $70 total. My girlfriend and I waited and decided that we're going to possibly order our own key before we make a decision. He comes back with "We can't promise the key you purchase will work and if anything happens to the car we won't held responsible but if you buy through us I'll take full responsibility if anything electrical goes wrong with you're vehicle..." After I say we'll look around he says well the price will be $90 to program because it's not a key we ordered... I look online and find a single key for $13 dollars and a pair for $22... TL;DR - Overall, had a very dissatisfying experience with them. They are apparently unorganized, cannot communicate well, and are, in general, difficult to work with. Please see the rest of this review for details. I placed my order online at the Batteries + Bulbs website on May 17th, 2016. My laptop's battery had died and I was looking to replace it, but apparently HP doesn't manufacture this model anymore. I selected the option to have the battery shipped to the location near my parents' house for pickup. Strike #1: The next morning, I received a phone call from someone telling me that my particular battery model was on back-order or something of the sort, and that they would contact me when the battery was ready. A couple hours later, I received an email telling me my battery was ready for pickup. Uh. What? I was confused, so I decided to give it some time. One week passed, and no phone call, so I dropped by the store. Clerk there took a few minutes to look up the status, and the battery was still on back-order... So I guess someone mistakenly confirmed receipt of my battery? Strike #2: Okay. I guess I'd have to wait an undefined amount of time before my battery is ready. Guess that's what happens when you're using a laptop model that's 6 years old. Fast forward over one month. It was June 29th, and I still hadn't heard anything - not even a status update. So I gave them another call. Clerk says, "Oh, are you Michael?? We've been trying to get in touch with you! Bunch of emails, phone calls, no response from you!" Well, I don't think they're lying, or at least will give them the benefit of the doubt, but I had received no such emails or phone calls. So I was a little irritated at that point, but whatever. I just wanted my battery. I went into the store that weekend, and the clerk there spent about 30 minutes looking for my battery. Couldn't find it. Complained that some other clerk misplaced it. Are you serious? Strike #3: I told them, "Look, I can't keep doing this. It's an inconvenience to drop by to pick up a battery you tell me is there just to find out it isn't." So the clerk tells me, "Yeah I'll leave a note for the other clerks. We should be able to find it this weekend, and will give you a call. If not, I normally can't/don't do this, but we can have it shipped to you directly for your convenience." Weekend passes... no phone call. Not even a voicemail. Conclusion: So on July 6th, I gave them another call. Different clerk from the previous two I had spoken with said that the battery was definitely in, and that she was looking at it. I came back to my parents' house this weekend and picked up the battery today, Saturday, July 9th. At this point, all 3 of the clerks standing in there knew who I was and what had happened, but I walked out and none of them had said a word. Ordered May 17th, picked up July 9th. 10 days shy of 2 months. I don't think I'm an overly demanding or ridiculous customer... am I? But this is ridiculous. And the fact that none of them said anything as I walked out is the final cherry on top - I absolutely despise people who don't own up to when they completely messed something up. If you screw up, apologize, and acknowledge that you can do things better. I won't be shopping here again. THINGS I COULD HAVE DONE BETTER: * I had no idea this particular battery model was so rare. If I had known it would take so long, I would have asked it to ship to a B + B location closer to my own home rather than my parents'. It added plenty to my frustration, but admittedly, that's not their fault. THINGS I WISH THEY WOULD HAVE DONE BETTER: * I wish they would have been more organized. From the mistaken "ready for pickup" email, to MIA emails and phone calls, to miscommunication and misplacement of a single product, I really wish that they would keep better records of what has happened and when. If any one of the clerks would have known exactly where my battery was at any given moment, that would have made this so much easier. * I wish they would have communicated better. I'm still confused about how they could have "called or emailed several times" and none of those emails or phone calls managed to reach me. I can believe email being screwy sometimes, but it's not likely that both email and phone servers would happen to magically screw up in the same time period, and with the same customer (me). And it seems like they don't communicate well, even with each other. One guy says the battery is in over phone, and then the other guy can't find it, and then they call each other and talk while I'm standing around and waiting... man. * I wish they would have been more professional. I don't know what kinds of drama or strife they have between their clerks/employees, but pointing the finger at someone else is seriously unprofessional, even if it's truly their fault. If you guys are a team, you succeed as a team, and you fail as a team. And god did you guys fail this one. read more

Worst customer service ever. Took in my iPhone 7 for a repair and after waiting 2 hours (even with an appt), my phone was given back to me broken even worse than when I turned it in. I was told that the tech was not familiar with iPhone 7 repairs and was unable to fix it. Steve is the manager and he is the person I dealt with from the get-go. He was unfriendly and I'm extremely disappointed that he allowed someone to work on such an expensive piece of equipment without having proper training. I highly advise you go elsewhere for your Apple repairs. ***no repair was done bc after the tech took the broken screen off he then put it back on, gave me my phone back and explained that he would not be able to complete the task. In doing this, he further cracked my screen. Of course the records would indicate my phone wasn't repaired bc it wasn't. read more

Not only were they knowledgeable and efficient in their roles their customer service was above any I have ever received- even from my current phone provider. I was a long time customer of this place. They typically are a bit pricier but they offer such a variety of batteries and bulbs that I was OK with the higher price especially when you need something in short order. In fact, I went here, spent hundreds replacing every bulb in my home to LED and more energy efficient bulbs. This last visit just sucked. I bought 1 smaller bulb that they only have 1 in stock at a time and ordered 2 more. They said it would be 9 days tops. I had to call them 3 days after the "promised date" to inquire about the order. The salesman tried to find it and couldn't, guessing that they were in but that they had simply forgotten to set them aside or contact me. In frustration, I said to just cancel the order and he said he couldn't do it over the phone. Fine, I'll drive in for a refund. What went wrong: how do you not call customers and let them know the status of their order? How is it OK for customers to have to call you to inquire about something that you gave a "promised date" for? Meanwhile, when the customer does call, the sales person said "it might be here and they just forgot to call." That's not much better... While I appreciate Aaron's efforts (he called 2 times trying to save the order), it's just frustrating to wait about 2 weeks for an order. Skip this place folks. Had a broken iPhone 6s screen got it fixed back in April at batteries plus...I started noticing like the next few days my keyboard having weird clicks and my Internet scrolling weird.. not exactly sure how to explain it but it was like the screen felt just a teensy tiny bit off. I thought that this would maybe be a temporary thing and or that I would get used to.. it actually got more and more annoying as time went on. Sending emails or texts I would have to press on the button several times, position my finger a little off the letters and/or delete mis stroked keys (Or whatever you want to call it). Even surfing the web and reading articles was a pain!!! Fast forward three months I finally decided to call and was told by Chris that the screen problems I was having sounded familiar and that was covered under warranty to just bring it in. I took the phone in the same day and told the gentleman at the counter that I had already called and spoke to Chris.. he then took my phone to the back to talk to Chris. I could hear them talking saying it wasn't doing the weird clicks and oh there's a new crack and how he didn't know about that. Of course he didn't ask me that on the phone when I called. So that made the warranty void and basically they said it could be from the new crack (Which of course I knew it wasn't). Then they were basically like we can't help you. I understand about the warranty because of the new crack ... I it get it!!! I was also planning on purchasing a new battery too but decided to take my business elsewhere. I mean why would I take my chances on paying for another possible faulty install of my screen. So this is basically a warning to not get a faulty install here and if you do decide to get it done here and it's messed up take it back right away!!! (I mean if you have that kind of time to waste and be inconvenienced) I got a new screen and a new battery for a little more than just the screen alone at batteries plus.. A special thanks to Jim and Eric. I went in thinking I needed to get the screen on my Galaxy S5 replaced due to a shattered screen. I was all set for them to replace it when Jim glanced at it and said that he thought it was just the Tempered Glass screen protector that was shattered and not the screen itself. He asked me to wait there while he checked. Sure enough, I needed nothing more than a new screen protector ;) I cannot thank them enough for being honest and telling me that was all I needed. I was saved lots of money as well as time . . . as I was going to leave it for the work to be done and would have had to return. Scheduled an appointment for a phone battery replacement. When I arrived at my scheduled time, I was told that the technician had to go home. I asked why didn't someone call me before I arrived and was given the runaround. I rescheduled for the next day, and the exact same scenario happened, except the store manager/owner complained about how busy he was and I don't understand. Several months ago, I broke the screen on my iPhone 5s. Instead of going somewhere to get it replaced, I decided to go online, buy a third-party screen and replace it myself. It wasn't very hard to do, and I congratulated myself for saving a couple of bucks by doing it myself. There was one really odd thing, however. When I wore sunglasses and held my phone in portrait mode, the screen went black. Apparently, the aftermarket screen was polarized. Irritating, but no big deal. Anyway, about a month ago, I noticed my phone's batter was about to give up the ghost. It sometimes went from 100% to 50% within a couple of hours, and sometimes turned off by itself when it still had over 40% of its charge left. I downloaded an app called Battery Life, which verified that I needed to replace my battery immediately. I was in a hurry to get it done, so I set up an appointment at BatteriesPlus. They swapped it out, and I was back in business within half an hour or so. Battery Life said the battery was in perfect condition with no wear at all. Great! A week or so after this, I noticed some strange things happening. Vertical lines appeared on the screen, and sometimes the screen wouldn't respond to touch. It got progressively worse, and I also noticed that the glass had begun to separate from the screen mount. This afternoon, I went back to BatteriesPlus and was greeted by Kate, who lent an attentive ear while I explained the situation. Alex, the tech that had checked my phone in for the battery swap, said she'd take a look at it, and I went off to get a bite to eat. When I returned, Alex showed me the aftermarket screen, and explained that it was cheaply made. The mounting bracket was flimsy, and didn't fit properly, and that's why the screen had separated. She then handed me my phone with a brand new screen installed. She told me she had swapped out the aftermarket screen for one of their own. Alex refused payment for the screen she had installed, and thanked me for coming in. I was a little stunned. I got back in my car, and tested my iPhone. Screen was bright and crisp with no lines or artifacts, responsive to touch, and best of all, my sunglasses had no effect of the display. Alex could have shown me the aftermarket screen and left it at that, but she instead went the extra mile, and fixed an issue that wasn't her fault. On 6/13, my wife bought an AC adapter for her Dell laptop. While at the store, she told me she clearly heard a heated argument in the back room--pretty unprofessional. She brought the adapter home, plugged it in, and powered up the laptop. The laptop warned (this is the first time I saw a laptop do this) that the power output was insufficient, and the processor speed would be slower. I measured the voltage on it, which looked good (open circuit). The laptop was shut down for the night, and left to charge on the new adapter. In the morning, the battery was at the same charge level (about 50%). I plugged in another adapter from my other Dell laptop, and poof! The battery charged up to 100% within a couple of hours. I ran the laptop for a while without the adapter, and the battery stayed at 100%. On 6/14, my wife and I returned the AC adapter. I said there was a problem with the adapter, but the man behind the counter said "No. It's your battery." I tried to explain why I thought the problem was with the adapter, but he was adamant, saying that I should bring in the battery to be tested by their "$10,000 tester." I could tell there was no point in responding. We got our refund and left. My point is this: while I should have thought more about why the adapter didn't work (like the sleeve on the plug wasn't long enough to make a good connection), this man (the same one having the heated argument in the back room) was arrogant, and unwilling to listen to what I had to say. By the way, I have 34 years troubleshooting electronic equipment, so most of the time, I know what I'm talking about. I won't return to a store if someone behind the counter won't listen to what I have to say before they respond to me. And I won't tolerate arrogance. read more

Warning: Be very careful before you bring in an iPhone to have screen replaced. Apple will not work on your phone after these third-party components are installed. My phone started having problems after the screen replacement, and finally they replaced it with a refurbished phone. Bad customer service! I called about a car battery and was put on hold while they finished with another customer I hung up after 12 minutes. I thought they were busy so I called them back. I was then put on hold for 3 minutes. I then got someone to talk to me I think his name was Santiago but he said it so fast I'm not sure. I told him I needed a car battery for a 2011 Fusion and asked if they did installation and he said yes free of charge. great then I was transferred to someone else who told me that they couldn't do the install due to a sensor on my car and I would have to go to a dealership to have it installed but I could buy it there. Ok well I got my car jumped and then went to autozone who installed the battery and when asked about the sensor they said no that's not right but I might have to reset the radio and clock which was right. It was too bad for batteries plus because I was in their parking lot at the king Soopers. read more
